Wow! What a great holiday we’ve just had. We arrived 27/06/26 ,( temperatures 33–35 degrees zero rainfall, zero clouds ALL WEEK )and were greeted with a glass of bubbly and a cool towel. Super friendly and easy check in process and we were then escorted via electric buggy to our room.
We stayed in a standard room (319) with a balcony over looking the swim up rooms below, very close to the main building. It was exceptionally clean with a fully stocked drinks fridge which got replenished each day along with crisps and mixed nuts. My only fault with the room and entire holiday was the really stupid bathroom design. It had no main door and only glass, unlockable doors, open top and bottom on the separate toilet and shower. It must have been designed by a man who doesn’t understand that sometimes ladies need a sink next to the toilet, to deal with “lady times”. It was highly difficult, with zero privacy. We had to announce when we were in there and what we were doing! My husband and I had to take it in turns to vacate the room to the balcony so we could poop in private 😆 There are some things that should remain private in a marriage, even after 20years!
The entire hotel is health conscious with 97% natural products in the bathroom and the food buffet was fantastic. Lots to choose from with little extras that most All inclusive miss, like nuts and seeds and healthy additions. Not a chicken nugget insight! But when they did cook “naughty food” it was wood fired pizzas and real hand made fish fingers. Amazing creative chefs and pastry chefs. Deserts to die for! Be prepared to eat your weight in cake and puddings!
The grounds and pool are beautifully maintained and clean and sunbeds aplenty.
I had a Cretan full body massage in the spa which cost €100 which was a real treat. Lovely gentle mannered staff.
ALL members of staff from Housekeepers, grounds and FOH were friendly, happy to help, easy to like and super attentive. We felt so looked after and spoilt. No one expects tips although we did tip at the end of our stay into tip jars for each department.
Highly recommend.
Had a full body massage with Jenny, would 100% recommend. Very relaxing and peaceful. Facilities are very clean and professional.
The spa is so tranquil, everything was clean and all of the staff were so friendly
The massage therapists checked in with us often to see if the pressure was ok. Would definitely recommend!
We have recently returned from a two-week stay in the Atlantica Imperial Resort.
The hotel is situated in a bay and right on the beach, but not much else nearby except a small harbour and one main shopping street with a variety of tourist shops, bars and restaurants. The hotel operates a bus service (chargeable and has to be booked) once a day to Rhodes town and back which is good value.
The hotel is on a main bus route and has a bus stop opposite. The timetable is available on the screen in the reception area, although they aren’t that reliable.
We found the hotel to be very clean throughout. The grounds and outside areas were also cleaned regularly.
All of the staff were friendly and helpful and appeared happy.
We stayed in a Premium Double Room with a Limited Sea View and a Balcony. The room was a good size with plenty of storage space. The bathroom did not have a main door into it. The sink was on one side with a toilet on the other and the shower was straight in front of you. Both the toilet cubicle and shower had semi see-through glass panels. The sea view was very limited, if you sat out on the balcony it was out of sight altogether! In fact, you would need to be up in the Lobby Bar to get a good sea view at all as there were too many trees and shrubs blocking the view from the main restaurant and the pool bar area.
The main restaurant had a good selection of food available although if you are vegan, there is very little choice. You are always shown to your table for all meals and sometimes you would have to wait to be seated if you wanted to eat in the outside area of the restaurant. The drinks are all quite expensive if you have not booked All Inclusive, as is the food in the 2 specialist restaurants, which you can visit once per stay if you are All Inclusive with some of the menu included on AI, but some items incur additional charges.
The main pool was of a good size with a bridge over the middle. During the second week there were too many inflatables in it to be able to swim. There is a smaller pool which is quieter. If you wished to have a sunbed around the main pool you would need to get up early to secure one of the favourite positions i.e. a bed that may be moved in, or out of the shade. We preferred the beds on the grass using trees as parasols.
The beach was kept clean and the bathing was safe. Although a public beach the sun beds are owned by the hotel. Non-guests may use them by paying a charge.
The live evening entertainment on stage is held on five evenings a week with a DJ on the other nights. It was mainly good with two really good acts but repetitive if you stayed for over a week.
There is a lack of shaded areas around the Helios pool bar if you wanted to enjoy a drink out of the sun, but the cocktails are very good and all made to order, none of the pre-mixed stuff. There are no outside rainproof areas at all. When there was a storm with a sudden heavy shower, everyone had to make a dash for their rooms.
We found that the hotel is very much a ‘couples’ hotel, with most of the tables small with 2 chairs. If you like to keep yourself to yourself this would be perfect, but as there is little or no table sharing, very little opportunity to chat to other guests if that is what you like to do.
All day long, the team in the Helios Pool Bar relentlessly serve us with the tipple of our choice. The team….. and that’s what they are, are always friendly and respectful, especially Angellos Georgios, Kostas and Minas but you can’t forget the captain of the ship….the lovely Paris who keeps everything ticking over throughout the day.
