Grecotel LUX ME Dama Dama

Just landed from an incredible week at Grecotrel Lux Me Dama Dama! It was truly the best all inclusive we have ever stayed in - the food and drinks were exceptional and no expense was spared! The generosity with wines, cocktails and portions was second to none.

From the moment you enter the hotel you are escorted to your rooms and the baggage is bought to you. The staff are available 24/7 to answer any questions and couldn't do more to help you. They upgraded our rooms as we were celebrating my Mum's birthday which was very kind of them! They also made a specific gluten free cheesecake which was presented at our evening meal - delicious! The rooms are lovely and airy and spacious - the bathrooms were slightly small but great showers. We also had robes, slippers, the rooms were cleaned daily and they had lots of amenities. Shower gel, conditioner, hairdryers etc.

The service from the staff was first class. We never had bad service from anyone around the hotel. The staff work tirelessly to ensure you have a good stay and are comfortable. From the pool barman to the staff at the buffet - they are always checking on you and are very talkative. Some particular mentions to staff who made our stay extra special... Dasos - we met him on our first night and his character, humour and professionalism was amazing - from remembering our orders, to checking in on us and getting to know us - he is an asset to the hotel! Alesia served us numerous times at the Beach Bar- always with a smile on her face, working tirelessly to ensure everyone had what they wanted but also always had time for a laugh and to get to know us - she also made sure we all had Baby Guiness shots when the clocks turned 12 on my Mum's birthday which was a lovely touch. Diogenis served us at the Beach Taverna and The Rose and was very attentive- his charm, professionalism and respect was great!

The food was also first class. With 4 speciality restaurants which you are able to visit once per week if you stay for 7 nights or more were amazing. These are included within the package and usually consist of a set menu or choices of speciality dishes. You can reserve these in advance on the app or with the reception team. Our favourite was the Rose. My Mum is gluten free and they had this noted on every booking in advance. The attention to detail - checking her allergy and ensuring when the dishes were brought over it was all correct was the best we have seen in any hotel or restaurant. They had lots of alternatives for the bread, cakes and even had gluten free pancakes or alternative desserts at set meals so she didn't feel she was missing out at all. The selection of food at the buffet was great and there were multiple options to suit all taste buds. We also made the most of the gelateria and creperie as well as the beach taverna which had gyros, pizza, meats and salads at lunchtime.

The whole hotel felt like an oasis and we all switched off! The entertainment team were great - especially Davide who ran the daily Aqua Gym class and Dimitri who bought so much joy and energy to the whole hotel. We loved the Aqua Zumba and the evening entertainment they hosted. From live bands to bingo to kareoke or cinema nights - there is something to do every night and multiple places to rewind, relax and recouperate. They have an indoor gym which also has classes as well as boccia, kids clubs and multiple other activities or excursions.

They also provide a free room for 45 minutes on the day you check out so you can sleep or shower or reset before your flight. Check out is at 11 but you can book the rooms the day before you leave.

Thanks to the whole team at Grecotel for the best week - from the staff, to the cleaners, to grounds team, hostesses, chefs, waiters, waitresses and everyone behind the scenes who provides a seamless experience. We will definitely be back!

We have just returned from a week stay. The hotel is very well maintained and all the staff are nothing short of outstanding. Everyone was always smiling, friendly and super attentive day and night. This is quite exceptional given how hard they work across various sections of the hotel and in high temperatures.

We were given a beautiful bungalow room, (78) this was well decorated and away from the main block so nice and quiet. There was the sound from the entertainment from the neighbouring hotel, however this ended by 11 pm and was actually enjoyable. There was no issue with AC in our room, although it goes off after few hours so needs turning back on. See pics and view from balcony.

Food options were decent although could have more vegetarian choice in the buffet - for example a lot of the salads had fish or meat in them. Or limited some nights to vegetarian bolognaise or margarita pizza. However the à la carte restaurants had good options. The restaurants had fine dining which was a nice touch and with 4 credits there was plenty of variety between the buffet too.

The lobby bar in particular served fantastic cocktails, with attentive table service. We recommend this bar if you want to avoid the busy beach bar. However the staff on the beach bar worked non stop shaking up cocktails all day! We would like to give a shout out to Nikita who was always very accommodating of my non menu drink requests, she also knew exactly what cocktail to mix up from me even when I was unsure!

The Patisserie was also a nice little treat during the day and I enjoyed Greek Mountain Tea and delicious cakes.

Another stand out staff member was Panagoita on concierge. She greeted us and personally took us to our room and showed us around- a lovely touch. We had just briefly mentioned we were staying as part of our anniversary celebration, Panagoita had arranged a surprise chocolate cake to arrive at the end of our anniversary meal the next day. It was big and we shared it with some other guests. Such a lovely and attentive gesture. Anytime we saw her around the hotel, she took time to chat and check in that everything was ok. It was clear this was never just a tick box for her but she genuinely cared.

Recommendations- -do purchase water shoes and snorkels- so many fish just by putting your head in the sea, it’s super clear being a blue flag beach and not deep at all. You can buy these quite cheap from the hotel shop or shopping centre next door. This is also handy for souvenirs and cheaper than the airport and Rhodes town.

• book the restaurants ahead- you can’t book the same one twice fyi.
• if you want a sun Ed, you do need to get up early but maybe that’s because it was bank holiday when we stayed. However plenty of other spaces to relax around.
• get the bus outside to Rhodes Town - every 20 minutes only €5 return and about half hour.
• anyone booking Jet2, they seem to be the only operator that drop/collect you on the main road. Bit of a pain as it’s a busy road at times and slight slope down and up to hotel.

SUMMARY- we definitely recommend a stay here! Good food, drinks, well maintained hotel, clean and best of all AMAZING Service and STAFF! Thank you.
