A perfect 5 star all inclusive experience right on the beach
An outstanding all-inclusive experience — we will definitely be back
We had an absolutely wonderful stay at Amada Colossos, and honestly, it is difficult to find anything to complain about. The hotel exceeded our expectations in almost every aspect.
The design of the hotel is beautiful, modern and minimalist, and the rooms are very spacious, comfortable and pleasant.
The staff are truly exceptional. Everyone was friendly, welcoming and always happy to help with anything we needed. What really stood out was how genuinely helpful they were throughout our stay. On the day of our departure, they even helped us arrange an early breakfast and prepared some snacks for us to take with us for the journey. It was a small gesture, but it really showed how much they care about their guests.
The cleanliness is absolutely outstanding. Everything throughout the hotel was spotless, and our room was cleaned to a 10/10 standard every single day. There was also not a single unpleasant smell anywhere in the hotel.
The food is excellent, with an enormous variety at every meal. The hotel's restaurants are genuinely very good. The Italian restaurant feels like a proper Italian restaurant, and Enalia, the steak restaurant, was excellent. One of the things we particularly loved was how food and drinks are available everywhere around the resort — wherever you are, you're never more than a minute away from something to eat or a cold, refreshing drink.
The entertainment team is excellent as well, with activities every day for both children and adults. There was always something going on, without it ever feeling overwhelming.
The atmosphere was great, no loud music or noisy guests.
The location right on the beach is fantastic. You can go from the pool to the sea in a matter of seconds, or simply sit by the pool while enjoying a beautiful view of the sea. It really gives the resort a wonderful holiday atmosphere.
We also really enjoyed the spa. It is beautifully designed and has a relaxing atmosphere from the moment you walk in. The massage was very pleasant and relaxing.
Overall, this is a hotel where you truly feel that everything is taken care of from A to Z. We never felt that we were missing anything, and our holiday was simply perfect.
There are only two small things that could be improved. The pool water was a little cold for our taste, although once you get in, you quickly get used to it. Also, one design choice in the rooms was a little difficult to understand: the frosted glass bathroom doors don't provide quite as much privacy as we would have preferred.
Other than these very minor points, we honestly couldn't have asked for a better stay.
We will not be looking for another hotel in Rhodes — we will definitely be coming back to Amada Colossos many more times!
My terrible experience
On our last day, a bag containing clothes, perfumes, and gifts worth around €400 disappeared from our room. We reported it to reception immediately, but to this day, there is still no clear answer as to how the bag simply disappeared or what happened to it. Very disappointing and concerning, especially for a hotel of this standard. I do not recommend this hotel at all.
Holiday/Marriage
Absolutely phenomenal time at Amada Colossus recently with a large group 40+ people for our wedding (not done via the hotel) but all the staff at the hotel are incredible! Lovely kind, polite, attentive staff who can’t do enough for you. Food is brilliant and lots of selection, bars are great and again very wide selection. Rooms are modern cleaned daily. Pool area is great, the only down side is towel reservations for beds is a nightmare, if you’re not down at 7am you’ll have a job getting a bed, there needs to be a bit of a stricter policy by the hotel on this matter alone. That said, everything is kept clean and kept tidy. As I said, we were there for our wedding and some of the hotel staff found out about this and were just amazing and continually friendly and attentive and engaging with us personally which was really nice that they did not have to but shows the level of quality service they provide. Special big thanks to Thanos at the adult pool bar who is just incredible and a great guy and Athena the wedding planner at the hotel who again was just amazing to liaise with certain things on and couldn’t do enough to support us and help in whatever way we could even though we didn’t have our wedding through the hotel, she was just incredible and really friendly and a delight to talk to. Brilliant hotel over all!
Not a 5*
We chose this hotel after seeing so many positive reviews online, and while we had an enjoyable holiday overall, I wouldn’t say it lived up to the 5-star experience we were expecting.
The hotel itself was clean, well looked after, and the staff were friendly and accommodating. However, on arrival there was no welcome drink, which I would have expected from a 5-star resort. Check-in was quick and we were taken straight to our room, where there was a small snack waiting for us. Unfortunately, there was no water in the room. We waited around 30 minutes before deciding to walk down to reception ourselves, where we were given a bottle. By this point, it was around 1:30am, so it was disappointing after such a long journey.
The food was okay, but nothing particularly special. After reading so many great reviews, I was expecting a lot more. The à la carte restaurants, however, are definitely worth booking, so I would recommend taking advantage of those during your stay.
The hotel itself is absolutely huge, and in hindsight I probably should have done more research into the size of the resort beforehand.
One thing that did bother us was the amount of smoking and vaping around the pool area and whole hotel. There were quite a few people smoking or using vapes while sitting around the pool, which wasn't particularly pleasant. The adults pool wasn't very relaxing more like a club 16-30 holiday.
Overall, we did have an enjoyable holiday, as we would remove ourselves from areas. The hotel is clean, the staff are friendly, and there are plenty of facilities, but if you're expecting a true 5-star luxury experience, I would probably look at other options.
Amazing Stay ,Fantastic Food and Outstanding Staff
We had an absolutely fantastic stay at the hotel. The staff were outstanding, always friendly, helpful, and happy to assist with anything. You really felt cared for throughout your stay, and nothing was ever too much trouble.
The food exceeded our expectations, with a huge selection and excellent quality. The themed restaurants were a real highlight, serving delicious meals in a lovely atmosphere. The staff in the restaurants were attentive and welcoming, making every dining experience enjoyable.
The bar staff were equally brilliant, providing excellent service with a smile. Overall, the level of customer service throughout the resort was exceptional.
We would not hesitate to return and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday.
