Everything was very good, the food, the people, the hotel! Thanos of the adults only poolbar is amazing 👏🏻
Fantastic hotel, well worth the stay, food is amazing, with a special mention to Christina in the Italian restaurant what a great host and asset to the hotel, could do enough for you, amazing experience. Only down side to the whole trip that put us off was the airport security on the way back.
Hotel is in a perfect location, short bus ride away from rhodes old town and faliraki. Highly recommend a sea view room the view is just stunning.
Taxis are very expensive. Taxi into old town was 30 euros each way where as the bus was 5 euros. The buses are easy to navigate and there is a bus stop right outside the hotel.
Hotel itself is huge. It has everything you could need for a good holiday. Plenty bars, activities, restaurants, on site spa/waterpark and supermarket. Hotel is very well maintained we couldn’t fault the staff they really do anything they can to help you.
Adults pool bar was a great atmosphere we spent most of our time here. Thanos is by far the best barman!
Room was clean on arrival and this was maintained daily by the maid service. The room itself was spacious, huge bed which was very comfortable. Ample storage space so that you could unpack all of your belongings. Balcony was a great size also.
Restaurant was great, food choice was brilliant. Theme nights every night. We tried the italian al carte restaurant which i wasn’t impressed with, service was very poor and the food was pretty poor in my opinion. The main restaurant was much better.
The beach was lovely, would recommend water shoes as it is very rocky at times which can be painful to walk on. Water is crystal clear.
Watersports on the beach expensive but fun.
The only thing the hotel need to improve on is the sunbed situation, i had to wake every morning before 7:30am in order to get a sunbed if not there were none available. The sunbeds themselves could do with an upgrade, most of them are ripped and broken which reduce the availability even more.
Late checkout is very expensive in my opinion- 50 euros to check out at 3pm instead of 11am and an extra 10 euros for every additional hour there after. The hotel do provide luggage storage if you decide against late checkout and a shower room. The room given to us to shower really put a dampner on the end of our stay. It was filthy, it is not cleaned inbetween each guest. The room soaking wet and was covered in sand, muck and hair. Not what you expect from a facility offered by a 5 star resort. I would have felt cleaner showering by the pool than using that room. Reception didn’t seem bothered when i complained about this either.
Overall, i would definitely consider returning to this hotel we had a great holiday.
We are on the final day of a wonderful 11-night stay at Amada Colossos Resort and cannot speak highly enough of both the hotel and its staff.
Before our arrival, I contacted the hotel because I am disabled and had some concerns about whether my accessibility needs could be accommodated. The communication from the Reservations, Operations and Guest Relations teams was exceptional—warm, prompt, reassuring and genuinely caring. They made practical arrangements for me throughout our stay, including ensuring that suitable sunbeds were available, which removed a huge source of worry and allowed me to enjoy the holiday alongside my family. Nothing felt like too much trouble, and their kindness made an enormous difference to our experience.
Our rooms were spacious and exceptionally clean, with two double wardrobes, plenty of drawer space and ample room to unpack properly. The shower pressure was excellent, with plenty of hot water available whenever we needed it.
The buffet restaurant offered a fantastic choice at every meal. There was always something available to suit everyone, including our fussy teenagers—which is quite an achievement! The food was regularly replenished and there was plenty of variety throughout our stay.
There were also lots of daytime food options. The waterpark snack bar served pizza, while the beach snack bar offered gyros, nuggets, chips, hot dogs, sandwiches, salads and freshly made crêpes. The crêpes with lemon and sugar were absolutely perfect!
We tried the à la carte restaurants and thought they were all fabulous, particularly the Asian and Italian restaurants. The hotel also helped us celebrate my husband’s birthday by arranging a lovely cake at the Italian restaurant, and the staff came out singing to him. It was such a thoughtful touch and made the evening feel incredibly special.
The beach is beautiful, with a mixture of sand and small shingle, and the sea was wonderfully warm. As we were travelling with older teenagers, we spent most of our pool time around the adult pool. Even at the height of the season, it never felt excessively busy.
The swim-up bar was a real highlight, serving iced coffees alongside alcoholic and soft drinks. Special praise must go to the lead barman, for whom nothing was ever too much trouble. He made perfect cocktails, introduced us to delicious drinks we had never tried before—including melon daiquiris—and always provided proper service with a smile, even when there was a queue.
What really sets this hotel apart is its staff. From the excellent communication before we arrived to the care shown throughout our stay, we felt genuinely welcomed and looked after. The team did everything possible to ensure that my disability did not prevent me from enjoying the resort with my family, and that meant more to us than I can adequately express.
Thank you to everyone at Amada Colossos for making our family holiday so relaxing, enjoyable and memorable. We would happily recommend the resort and would love to return.
10/10 holiday, everything you need in one place. Staff were exceptional, sheets changed when you asked, new towels everyday! Room/ hotel was super clean. Different themed food every night in the buffet, we also tried the Italian restaurant which the food and service was also amazing! If you’re looking to just relax and chill and treat yourself to a nice 5 star hotel then this is definitely the one! So nice having the beach on your door step too!
