THE BEST HOTEL IN MYKONOS
The absolute highlight of my entire Europe trip! 🤍
From the very beginning, my experience at the Myconian was incredible, and so much of that started with IOANNA. I first spoke with her around 6 AM to let her know I would be arriving in Mykonos late that evening from Madrid, around 9 PM, and she was so helpful in arranging a shuttle for me.
To my surprise, when I finally arrived that night, Ioanna was still there! After a long day of traveling, I was exhausted, but her energy, warmth, and professionalism immediately made me feel so welcomed and excited to be in Mykonos. Then she completely surprised me with an incredible room upgrade that included my own private pool — something I genuinely was not expecting at all! It was such a special way to start my stay and a moment I’ll always remember.
Ioanna truly went above and beyond and made me feel so taken care of. That level of hospitality carried throughout my entire stay. From breakfast to the pool service, everyone was attentive, welcoming, and genuinely kind. The hotel itself was absolutely beautiful, but it was the service that made the experience stand out.
I stayed at several hotels throughout my Europe trip, and the Myconian was easily the highlight. It was the kind of experience that makes you not want to leave. Thank you especially to Ioanna for making my first experience in Mykonos so memorable. I would stay here again in a heartbeat! 🇬🇷🤍✨

Impeccable Experience
The service was flawless with the most attentive, warm and dedicated staff. The property was pristine and immaculately kept. The location provided spectacular views of Mykonos. It was the highlight of our trip and we hope to return soon.
Amazing hotel
Myself and my partner stayed here for 8 days during our first trip to Mykonos.
The hotel is exceptionally clean with a wealth of friendly and approachable staff. Breakfast was a particularly exciting part of our day. The food was of tremendous variety and quality, with the breakfast staff adding a friendly and personal touch to each morning.
The location was perfect, allowing us to walk to various beach clubs, restaurants and beaches. We visited Sant Anna, Nammos and Scorpio’s, each within a 10 minute walk.
We also rented a buggy from a nearby rental, allowing us to visit the rest of the island.

It is a fabulous hotel, superior staff and the rooms and view are wonderful!
We wouldn’t stay again
This was my second time in Mykonos, having previously stayed at Mykonos Blu, which was amazing. Sadly, this hotel didn’t live up to our expectations.
On the surface, everything looks lovely, but I think it really depends on your interpretation of luxury. For us, true luxury is about service, warmth and atmosphere, not just appearances — and unfortunately, this hotel missed the mark.
Check-in was fine, and we were seated on a sofa, but the welcome felt rather pointless as very little was actually explained to us. Throughout our seven-day stay, we found the reception staff unhelpful and unapproachable, particularly Efi.
Something as simple as finding the bus stop became unnecessarily frustrating. It took three separate trips to reception to try to get clear directions. Each time, we were handed a map and given a rushed explanation with pointing, leaving us struggling to make sense of it all. What made this even more disappointing was that there was nobody else waiting to be served, so there really was no reason to rush us.
On a more positive note, we loved our room. It was clean, and Marisa, our maid, did a fantastic job. Breakfast was perfectly adequate, although fairly standard in our opinion. We also found the daily process of being taken to a table we hadn’t chosen frustrating, particularly when there were long queues. However, the breakfast waiting staff were wonderful, worked incredibly hard and deserve credit for their efforts. In particular Taxaris, Ruel and Jeffery (sorry if I your name).
The pool loungers were lovely, comfortable and a real plus. The gym was fine, although opening at 9 am was too late for us, and the spa is an additional cost rather than being included.
Ultimately, we wouldn’t choose to stay here again, Unfortunately, we just didn’t like the atmosphere. It didn’t feel particularly welcoming, and at times the experience felt artificial rather than genuinely luxurious. Even the brief greetings from some of the reception staff felt lacking in warmth, giving us the impression that they weren’t particularly happy to be there. The Bell boys at reception also need to mention as they go above and beyond and put the front desk reception team to shame. Thanks to Dimitris and Mario and again sorry for the names I didn’t get.
The overall atmosphere sometimes felt tense, as though the staff were on edge rather than relaxed and genuinely happy to welcome guests. Perhaps the hotel is trying too hard to deliver a particular image of luxury, while overlooking the simple things that make a stay memorable: approachable staff, thoughtful service and a warm, relaxed environment.
There were a lot of American tourists during our stay, which was absolutely no issue for us. However, it did make us wonder whether the hotel’s approach to hospitality is tailored towards a particular clientele.
For us, luxury is not just about beautiful surroundings and comfortable sun loungers. It’s about how you feel when you walk through the door and how you’re treated throughout your stay. Sadly, despite its attractive appearance, this hotel didn’t deliver that experience for us. Also the mattress was too soft for my friend so she ended up sleeping on the sofa bed sadly, but that’s a a matter of preference, I guess.
Style over substance, unfortunately.
