The Private Beach: Santa Marina has the only luxury private sandy beach on the island. Whoever has tried to move around Mykonos by car in the summer months has experienced the traffic jams and parking challenges, and will understand the true value of this. Should you wish to experience other beaches, the hotel has its own dock from where a boat can take you anywhere in a few minutes—in style. South-Facing Location: Santa Marina faces south, which means you won’t be exposed to the strong winds Mykonos is known for. The Atmosphere: Beautifully spread over a hill with impeccably curated gardens and dreamy views over Ornos Bay, it offers tranquility and energy at the exact same time. The Food: It is hard to enjoy a Greek summer without Greek food. Elais offers incredible Greek meze—my favourite was the aubergine salad (the best I have ever tasted) served on innovative carob pie, and the shrimp tartare. Meanwhile, Buddha-Bar offers fantastic sushi and refined Asian plates in a great atmosphere that turns into a fun dancing scene around midnight. Must try- cod. One more huge advantage of 40 years of experience is consistency. In days when hospitality struggles with trained staff, Santa Marina’s team is fully aligned with the goals of the past four decades: being here to please and pamper the guest. Any rule they have was invented with this exact vision and purpose in mind. Respect to the kind, hospitable and humble General Manager, the conductor of this wonderful team.

Overflowing with finesse
Overall, we felt a wonderful energy of carefree luxury from our stay at Santa Marina. The staff is primarily focused on customer satisfaction at all levels, a top element for me, which is obtained from a combination of experience and mentality. Amazing flavors, both at Buddha Bar and Elais. Wonderful room and common areas. The only thing that may be "problematic" is that you have difficulty leaving the hotel. I hope we will see each other again.
Gorgeous view
A very secured, safe and gorgeous location! This property is so stunning with its own private beach, infinity pools and two restaurants with good menu options. We stayed here for 4 days and it was amazing. You are 10-15min drive away from little Venice or fun restaurants. We ate here twice but needed a variety plus the cost of food here is on the higher end so went out few times. Good food options walking distance or a quick ride. Beach is gorgeous with a bar and servers around to help you with food or drinks options. What lacked here is the “exceptional customer service” especially around the beach side the staff are not as friendly like they were in other resorts. Even walking around no one really greets you or says good morning. Breakfast is a buffet and Sofia was amazing. Buffet caters for allergies etc good variety of fruits, pastries and menu options to choose from. Overall good experience.

A beautiful and peaceful resort, with a few service inconsistencies
We had a very enjoyable and relaxing stay at Santa Marina. Our suite was large, modern and appeared to have been recently renovated. It was comfortable and generally very quiet, although the sound insulation between rooms could be improved, as we could hear our neighbours quite clearly. Fortunately, they were quiet, so this did not cause any real disturbance.
The resort itself is beautiful and has a wonderfully peaceful atmosphere. What impressed us most was that, although the hotel was fully booked, it never felt crowded. We could always find enough space at both the private beach and the pool, which made the stay particularly relaxing.
Breakfast was very good, with a wide selection and a beautiful setting overlooking the sea. The team was always friendly, but staffing seemed surprisingly inconsistent. On some mornings there were plenty of employees available, while on others there appeared to be only one person looking after the area, so orders and service took considerably longer.
The complimentary airport transfer was a very welcome and valuable inclusion. The location is also convenient: Ornos Beach is within walking distance, while Mykonos Town can be reached in approximately ten minutes by car.
We had dinner twice at Buddha-Bar Beach. Its location directly facing the sea is wonderful, especially in the evening. The food was good, but nothing extraordinary, and prices are certainly on the high side. Once again, everyone was friendly, but the service was not as attentive or coordinated as one would expect at this level. On both evenings, the waiter introduced himself at the beginning, but did not then appear to remain responsible for our table. We had to call someone each time we wanted our glasses refilled from our bottle of champagne.
Overall, Santa Marina is a beautiful, stylish and wonderfully peaceful resort with spacious accommodation, an excellent private beach and a lovely setting. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily return. The few minor service inconsistencies did not detract from what was an excellent holiday.

Exceptional service!
5 stars with EXCEPTIONAL service!! This is a beautiful seaside hotel with its own private beach. Rooms are beautiful, but what really sets this hotel apart from any other I have ever stayed at is its exceptional service. The day we arrived (with 3 kids, aged 10, 8 and 4), my 4 year old had been having fevers for 3 days and was getting worse. My husband and I are both physicians and we realized he needed a medical evaluation STAT. While we were checking in (around 1:00PM), the concierge was calling pediatricians around the island to see who could get us in. They found a pediatrician who closed at 1:30, but got them to agree to stay open to see me and arranged an uber to take us there. The pediatrician was also outstanding and so helpful.
My son also needed a urine culture, so they arranged for a lab to come to the hotel to collect the sample so we didn’t have to leave.
Then, Air France had lost our stroller on our flight to Athens. They flew the stroller to Mykonos but wouldn’t deliver it. The driver from the hotel went and picked it up for us and delivered it to our room. Just one thing after another! They will bend over backwards for anything you need.
The free breakfast is really good—both buffet and à la carte. The food at both restaurants is good but very overpriced (much like everything on the entire island). There are plenty of small inexpensive restaurants that are walkable though if you want quick, more inexpensive food. All in all, could not have asked for a better hotel!
