Overall, we felt a wonderful energy of carefree luxury from our stay at Santa Marina. The staff is primarily focused on customer satisfaction at all levels, a top element for me, which is obtained from a combination of experience and mentality. Amazing flavors, both at Buddha Bar and Elais. Wonderful room and common areas. The only thing that may be "problematic" is that you have difficulty leaving the hotel. I hope we will see each other again.
Daily we read that the 40s in the life of a lady are the prime of her power and pleasure. She savours life on her own terms, radiating an unbothered, luminous, contagious joy. A lady in her 40s is pulsing with energy and enthusiasm that cannot be quieted—living out loud without asking for permission, owning her radiance without hesitation. Radiant and untamed, anchored in her self-trust, she lives outside the lines of external approval.
Santa Marina turned 40 this year. Sovereign, radiant, self-possessed, and unscripted—Santa Marina proves and breathes the power of the 40s.
Here, luxury is not forced... it is felt. Its energy cannot be easily explained; it simply captures all of your senses. While energy is hard to put into words, key facts make Santa Marina the place to be on cosmopolitan Mykonos:
The Private Beach: Santa Marina has the only luxury private sandy beach on the island. Whoever has tried to move around Mykonos by car in the summer months has experienced the traffic jams and parking challenges, and will understand the true value of this. Should you wish to experience other beaches, the hotel has its own dock from where a boat can take you anywhere in a few minutes—in style. South-Facing Location: Santa Marina faces south, which means you won’t be exposed to the strong winds Mykonos is known for. The Atmosphere: Beautifully spread over a hill with impeccably curated gardens and dreamy views over Ornos Bay, it offers tranquility and energy at the exact same time. The Food: It is hard to enjoy a Greek summer without Greek food. Elais offers incredible Greek meze—my favourite was the aubergine salad (the best I have ever tasted) served on innovative carob pie, and the shrimp tartare. Meanwhile, Buddha-Bar offers fantastic sushi and refined Asian plates in a great atmosphere that turns into a fun dancing scene around midnight. Must try- cod. One more huge advantage of 40 years of experience is consistency. In days when hospitality struggles with trained staff, Santa Marina’s team is fully aligned with the goals of the past four decades: being here to please and pamper the guest. Any rule they have was invented with this exact vision and purpose in mind. Respect to the kind, hospitable and humble General Manager, the conductor of this wonderful team.
Fab day at the Budda bar beach club here Expensive as we were not staying at the hotel 250 euros for the 2 beds Best beach club we went to in mykonos A lot more peaceful
We had an amazing stay at this hotel. The rooms were excellent, the facilities were fantastic, and the hospitality was genuinely the best we have experienced at any hotel.
A special mention must go to the incredible staff who made our stay so memorable. Polly was always lovely and provided excellent recommendations throughout our holiday. George was extremely helpful every morning with the beds and always greeted us with a smile.
At breakfast, both Sophia and Maria were outstanding. Maria in particular was attentive, friendly, and consistently provided exceptional service.
On our first evening at Elias, we were looked after by Maria and the team. We have several allergies, including nuts and sesame, and Maria was absolutely fantastic. She carefully checked everything with the chef, explained the dishes in detail, and gave us complete confidence that our meal would be safe. Her professionalism and attention to detail made us feel comfortable and able to enjoy our evening without worry. Although the lamb dish was not suitable, she quickly helped us find an alternative, and the steak and chips were excellent.
We would also like to thank Michalis, the sommelier, for his fantastic wine recommendations, which perfectly complemented our meals.
Overall, every member of staff went above and beyond to make our stay special. Their warmth, professionalism, and genuine care for guests are what truly set this hotel apart. We cannot thank the team enough and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for exceptional service and a wonderful holiday experience.
Our son and his fiancee had their wedding at Santa Marina and it was a fabulous experience! The facility makes you think you are in a movie set and the service is impeccable.
You check in with a beverage and a very high-touch level of service. A concierge takes you to the room with the baggage to follow shortly.
There are two restaurants and a couple of bars and all offered outstanding service. The food was outstanding and the breakfast buffet was more than ample.
The resort did a fantastic job with the wedding itself - ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception. The bride and groom made a spectacular entrance on a boat and had fireworks highlight their first dance.
The service could not have been better. One thing of note - cabs are scarce on Mykonos but you can WhatsApp the concierge and they will arrange transportation for you. They are very flexible and easily accommodate changes in plans.
Last, and not least, the Gingko spa was fantastic as well.
