The windmills are famous in Mykonos as a symbol of the island. Just 200 m away, the hotel offers its guests unique vistas of the windmills, the town of Mykonos and the sunset behind the hills of Delos. Right next to the hotel is the sea, small sandy beaches and a footpath for early evening strolls towards the little church of Agios Charalambis, one of the most picturesque chapels around. If swimming in the pool is not enough, guests will be enraptured by the beach of Megali Ammos (meaning ""The Great Sand""), a quiet, emerald blue and sandy beach just a 50-m walk from the hotel.
The hotel has 17 recently refurbished deluxe rooms and suites and 41 standard and superior rooms. It offers the best in island hospitality at a unique spot at the edge of Mykonos town.
All the rooms have been recently renovated to provide an attractive atmosphere and absolute comfort. They have balconies with views of the sea, along with a wide range of amenities that will make guests feel right at home. The standard rooms offer individually adjustable air conditioning, satellite TV, music, a direct dial telephone, a safe, a fridge and an en suite bathroom.
There is an outdoor swimming pool on the hotel grounds, complete with a poolside snack bar.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
This hotel greatly exceeded my expectations. The hotel’s location was amazing – only a few minutes’ walk from the most famous tourist spots. My room -a Perfect blend of confort and luxury- was clean, the bed was remarkably comfortable, and the Wi-Fi was exceptionally fast for any tasks I needed to do. The staff at the front desk were exceptionally friendly plus very considerate throughout my stay, and I appreciate that. . The bathroom was also extremely clean and had a good selection of toiletries.” . The selection of salads, fruits and pastries during breakfast was awesome.” I received complimentary parking right outside. This hotel treated me with care and made me feel extremely safe. As a single traveler, that can be quite hard to come by. The front desk even prepared maps with highlighted sights to show me where the most interesting places were.” O highly recommend this place!!!
It is the 6th time I come to this hotel and each time it is improving in a positive way. First time I came was 2008 alone and this time I came With all the family: highly suggested! Position perfect. Also the encomplimentary transfer is highly valued
Stayed five nights Great pick up from ferry port and airport drop off excellent .Arrived at hotel at noon room not ready come back later , nice walk around clear head . Given room 126 Truthfully disappointed Door needs a lock of paint Door so heavy Door not open 90 degrees stopper at 75deg because of cupboard for clothes , every day door hard to push open Room not very big , lovely big bed great to sleep in , balcony look out to see and port in the distance . Bathroom way too small not yet two people in it Sit on toilet right shoulder touch wall , left touch side of shower and your face has two toilet rolls next to it. Poor size room and needed paint on walls near shower flaking off , storage of clothes poor , rail going wrong way to hang clothes , fridge full of mini bar refreshments maid emptied this so fridge could be used . Wifi on and off !! Reception blamed wind it’s windy everyday , breakfast plenty to choose from enjoyed that , pool Has seawater in it ?? Plenty of sunbeds and towels if you want one . Location good near Fabrika bus station for getting around island . Must admit this hotel disappointed me and there will be better around Smallest bathroom we had on our holiday Would not recommend for £221 a night
Location was very convenient for town & Windmills.
Seafront Room 7 - calm room & decor with mini bar fridge. Great shower and lighting. Safe. Good AC & ceiling fan. 2 mini waters provided each day. Very good wifi.
Lovely veranda/decking overlooking the sea. Table and chairs, 2 sun beds. It was great that the room was available when we arrived at 13:00.
Pool area ok and never a problem to get a sun bed and umbrella. Bar attached selling very expensive cocktails and small glasses of wine for €8.
Private, 5mins airport transfer included but I think a lot of hotels do this…
NOT SO GOOD On arrival, some aspects of the room were not clean; dirty surfaces and dusty tables inside.
Small bathroom - single sink and shower effectively IN the bedroom and not a separate bathroom.
The initial balcony dividers would benefit from being twice as high as very little privacy.
Also slightly worrying was the intrusion of a Security Camera which was pointed straight at our decking and, with its bright light at night, into our bedroom !!! We complained and Reception said that the camera had been ’turned it off’ but we were also after reassurance that any previous recordings had been deleted…
Unimaginative breakfast; lukewarm cooked food and the rest very beige. Awful cappuccinos with UHT milk. We mentioned this half way through our stay but no improvements were forthcoming.
In summary for the price paid (€330per night) - the hotel needs to offer a much better breakfast with drinkable coffee/cappuccinos, and repoint the camera that looks into Room 7.
Wow! Great accommodations and service and location! We were picked up at airport by friendly, helpful employee (sorry - don’t remember his name). Comfortable room has a king bed which is not that easy to find. The bathroom is on the small side but modern and a great shower.
The location of the property is perfect! It’s away from loud music from nearby restaurants/bars but a very short walk. And that walk is away from autos, buses and motorcycles zooming by. Pool area is beautiful (but October is too cold for me to swim) and the sunset views are gorgeous.
I thought the breakfast was fine. It had a wide variety of food to choose from - I think there was something for everyone.
We can’t wait to come back and stay at Poseidon again!!!
