The luxury experience for those who seek the ultimate pleasure in each and every moment is now called Kyma, the Greek word for “wave” or rather a tide of unprecedented indulgence. Standing on top of the famous Myconian hill, all dressed up in the original Myconian white color and nature's bright light bliss, this 5 star Luxury hotel is the offspring of the 4K Hotels, the first member of Myconian Collection Hotels and Resorts and an all-time-classic destination for international jet setters, for more than five decades.
Myconian Kyma reflects the sun in a mystical ‘hide and seek' game, right between the straight lines and the curves of the Cycladic architecture. Neither superficially trendy nor traditionally ordinary, it is soothing and yet utterly spoiling. Its striking rooms and suites, exquisitely designed and decorated - some of them with their own private pool overlooking the deep blue and even more with private, delightful hot tubs, the restaurant with an authentic Mediterranean orientation, the hip bar located by the main pool with a panoramic view over this iconic island and a state-of-the-art huge spa for long, comforting sessions… is just the beginning of a wonderfully lavish experience. Anything can happen here, in the elegant chic side of the Myconian life.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
A lovely hotel with lovely staff and amazing views. We had a sea view room which was spacious, only criticism would be the balcony was quite small (had a small table and two chairs. The walk up to the hotel from Mykonos Town was a challenge but we soon got used to it, there is also a steep walk up to the hotel itself - however - you can ask security to get a porter to bring up you up on one of the buggies (which we found out on the last day haha). We stayed for 10 nights in June, weather was hot with a few windy days - the wind can be quite strong but it is still very warm. Breakfast was lovely, lots of variety, freshly cooked omlettes and pancakes - the rest was all buffet style. Staff a very helpful and attentive. Housekeeping go above and beyond when cleaning the room. Found prices in the restaurants very reasonable. The food in the hotel seemed expensive when looking at the menu but the portions are very big - if you order a club sandwich it will definitely be enough for two people. There was a very nice (and cheap) cafe called Souvlaki just as you come down the hill which was really reasonably priced and food was always good, we ate there a few lunch times, it next an Indian Restaurant called Jaipur Palace, doesn't look the best from the outside but the food is best I have had, always hot and freshly cooked, we ate there three times as it was so nice!
I would definitely go back to Mykonos and would definitely stay in this hotel again, although 10 nights was a long time to spend there - you could do everything in about 4 or 5 nights.
This a lovely pretty hotel perched up on the hill from Mykonos town. We took an Artemis room with great views over to the sea. I would say our room was 88 steps from reception! So perhaps check if this would be an issue for you. Rooms are fitted with coffee machines but I was immediately provided with a kettle on request. There is limited room in the fridge for your items, the fridge is essentially a stocked mini bar, that charges if you lift items out. Two lovely pool areas, comfy beds. Pool staff are quick to remove towels if you leave to create space and no bed reserving. If you have mobility issues you may struggle to get into pool as no gradual steps. Entrance is via vertical ladders or from a large waste height step straight in. I didn’t mention it was my birthday while there but they clocked it and left me a lovely birthday cake and Prosecco - thank you. Breakfast was right up my street, plenty to choose from, buffet style. The staff can’t do enough for you. Shout outs to Maria and klemont at the restaurants. Georgiou and Panos at the pool and Mariana . The hotel do complementary airport transfer/taxi which BA did not tell us about. The walk down the hill to Mykonos town is about 10 minutes and essentially it’s on the road but drivers seemed to be quite considerate. A ride back was 20 euros! Look for the silver taxis and ask the price first, there was no taxi meter. The water is not drinkable and they give you 2 bottles of water a day so we have to buy some larger bottles.
My only niggle was Wi-Fi was poor.
We had a fantastic stay at the Myconian Kyma. We had an Artemis room which was well appointed and had everything we needed. The absolute high-light of the room though was the balcony with a panoramic view of the bay of Mykonos. The hotel is build on the side of a hill, so there a lot of up and down steps to get to the room - about 90 in total. It was fine for us, but older people may have an issue. The pool area was the centre of the hotel and we spent many an afternoon around the pool. Great pool service and the cool breeze made it very pleasant. The restaurant area was also lovely. We had breakfast every day and lunch most days. We tended to go on to Mykonos Town in the evening but had dinner on our first night in NOA. We had a fantastic meal and the views over the water and town were fantastic. Finally, the staff at the hotel were excellent. Always willing to assist and genuinely wanted to ensure we were having a great time. Special thanks to Giorgios, Panos, Klement and Maria.
This was one of the best stays at a hotel I have had recently. From the moment we stepped inside at reception until the moment we left, everything was absolutely fantastic. We were lucky enough to get an upgrade and my room had an ocean view and overlooked the pool. The restaurant and bar were excellent. Good breakfast spread in the morning with both hot and cold offerings. The thing that makes this place stand out is the staff. Special mention to Nikos, Vay, Alex, Anna and Nicky who were all stars. The level of service is exceptional, even when sitting by the pool the staff will always walk around and offer drinks. The location of the hotel is good too. A short walk downhill to Mykonos Town and a taxi back up the steep hill is only €15. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel to anyone going to Mykonos!
Very nice hotel. The room we had was very nice, the views of Mykonos were beautiful. The staff consistently went above and beyond to make our stay special. Breakfast was great with a wonderful view. Staff always willing to accommodate special requests. The pool area was very nice. Special Thank You’s to Ella and Christina who were always pleasant, informative, and extremely helpful in assisting us. The walk to Mykonos town is doable, but if you have some health/walking issues, it can be challenging in the heat, some areas steep, not a lot of shade while you are walking.
