Royal Myconian

We stayed in an Executive Suite with a private pool, two adults and our seven year old, and it was absolutely divine. The views were astounding, the outdoor space was beautiful, and our daughter loved it just as much as we did.

The rooms were spotlessly clean, with plenty of fresh towels provided every day. The staff were amazing, so friendly, helpful and welcoming. Greek hospitality really is something special!

There isn’t a huge amount at the hotel specifically for children, although there is the beach and water sports. The resort is quite secluded, so there is probably more for children to do outside it. The hotel provides a free transfer to Mykonos Old Town, and Ano Mera village is around a 10-minute drive away. Taxis and Ubers are very expensive though, usually £35 or more each way, so bear this in mind.

The boutique at the hotel also had some beautiful clothes, and my boyfriend treated me to two gorgeous outfits!

Check-out was at 11am, but when I asked, they kindly allowed us to stay in our room until 12:30pm. We then stayed at the resort until around 2pm, which we were so grateful for.

The location may be in the middle of nowhere, but it is completely worth it for the beautiful surroundings, incredible views and wonderful people. We had an amazing stay and already miss it!

Everyone was courteous, friendly, and offered excellent service. If I was in Gries again, I would stay here again.

We stayed at the Royal Myconian for a week at the end of August and organized a big family celebration there for around 200 people.

It is difficult to describe how happy we were with the whole experience. We had family and friends coming from different countries and organizing such a large kosher event in Mykonos was not an easy project! But the hotel team made everything feel easy.

The staff were really amazing. Always smiling, always available and genuinely trying to help. What we appreciated most was the generosity and all the little extra things they did for us without us even asking. After one week there, we really felt at home.

A special word about the food because this was obviously very important for us. Everything was kosher during our events and the food was honestly excellent. We had different meals and events throughout the week and the quality was always there. For people who eat kosher and are considering Mykonos, this hotel is a great option.

We stayed in the Royal Suite with our children. It is huge, very comfortable and the private pool was great. The views from the room, but also from almost everywhere in the hotel, are incredible.

We also really enjoyed being able to move between the different Myconian hotels. During the week we spent time at the Royal, Imperial, Avaton and Villa Collection. Each one has a different atmosphere, pool and view, so you never feel like you are staying in just one hotel.

The beach was another very good surprise. The hotel has a beautiful private beach with sunbeds included for guests. The water was turquoise and crystal clear and we spent some great moments there.

I really want to thank Christiana personally. She worked with us on the organization of our event and was there for us before and during the entire stay. With 200 guests and so many details to manage, this was a lot of work and she did an amazing job.

Thank you also to all the managers and staff who took care of our family and our guests during the week.

And finally, thank you to Panos. It was really nice to see the owner so often around the hotels, always smiling, talking with guests, having a drink with us and making sure everybody was enjoying themselves. It gives the place a very personal and family feeling.

We came for a very important family celebration and left with some amazing memories.
