Wouldn't recommend and won't be returning

Family of 6 ( aged 2,5,9,15) Wouldn't be very impressed food is probably the worst in all the all inclusives we have been Food drenched in oils and grease. Alot of food very Tasteless. Kids selection very bad Pizza is the only thing that is fresh. Pool bar food flies on every thing very off putting Al la carte we were recommend not to go by another family as once again food Tasteless and also raw chicken served to a child so be vigilant. The galateria (payable) is good kids enjoyed this . The two ladies that work there are lovely. Reasonably priced also.
Location is completely secluded taxis very expensive. There is a bus at the top of the road every 45 mins it's fine going in to kos town but coming back very crowded . Not great if traveling with kids. Can't walk anywhere takes around an hour to walk along beach to tagiki . There is a gem of a restaurant 5 minute walk on way to tagiki and was a saving grace for us. Rooms are good spacious air-conditioning great no problems with the showers great pressure . Cleaners came 6 days a week. Entertainment atrocious. No atmosphere.
Drinks Pool bar staff very friendly Beer is fine . Cocktails are doable . Soft drinks not great taste of just sugar does not taste like coke . Pools and water slides Kids pools and wave pool dirty. Adults only pool very shallow Kids liked the slides kept them entertained. Umbrella falling apart at kids pool nearly caused at accident one of the days. Pool area needs to be cleaned more also Kids playground needs a bit of tlc All in all wouldn't recommend this hotel.

Fabulous place

Brilliant place, everything you need for a fab family holiday. Foods great, rooms are great, staff are fabulous. Location is great. We had a few cockroach 🪳 in our room & one on the bed which was a tad off putting as they were big buggers as well, but that was my only negative about the holiday.

Average, mixed reviews

Family holiday 2 adults 1 3.5 year old.

Mixed reviews, upon checking into the hotel nobody on reception actually said Hello to us. We arrived and were handed a clipboard with a form to fill out and asked to pay €10 per night. This is fine but there was no customer service or friendliness from long black haired receptionist which was a shame but oh well. We weren’t told anything, meal times or any normal check in information. We were taken to our room around 10pm and went to sleep only to be awoken at 5am by the people upstairs stomping around. My 3 year old was exhausted and upset about being woken, you could hear there was clearly a young child upstairs and we guessed it is what it is. After more loud banging, we went to reception and asked if there was anyway we could move rooms to 1st floor. We weren’t told anything and were passed to customer relations, Connie, who did make a few strange comments such as “I can’t tie the child to the bed…it’s is a family hotel this is what you should expect…what if the child had a stomach ache and that’s why they were up all night running around”. We obviously have a young child and understand this is a family hotel, but we are super mindful of those around us and ensure our child isn’t banging around running at 4/5am if we are above someone etc. We were then told we could upgrade for €460 which we didn’t want to do, then told there was a room (1819) free near entertainment which would be so loud anyway that it’s not worth us moving. We gave it another night to think but after being woken up again at 3am by upstairs, went to Connie and asked to move there. At first she said the room was gone, then it was available suddenly. We moved there and my god it was light and day difference. Could only hear the entertainment on the balcony so didn’t disturb my child at all. I would say it’s worth getting a 1st floor room for this reason as 3 days of our 7 day holiday had passed and we had awful sleep which ruined the vibe. On day 3, with 4 days left I’d learnt by word of mouth that you could book a free visit to the terrace rooftop for dinner, went to Connie to book and she said the only time she had free over the next 4 days was one slot at 8:30pm one evening which doesn’t work for us having a toddler. They don’t tell you at check in anything about this and for us it was apparently too late so worth booking as soon as you arrive. So a shame we didn’t get that experience.

Aside from that food was fine, normal all inclusive buffet as you would expect anywhere nothing special. Hotel is €15 to Kos town but about 15/20 mins walk to a local corner shop in the middle of nowhere. You do have to get transport to go anywhere as it’s remote. The aqua park was excellent, we spent 90% of our time in there our boy loved it. Wave pool was good too. Snack bar wasn’t the best, people queue about 12:20, food goes very quickly and you have to wait for them to recook, better off popping into the restaurant for lunch if you can or if you’re happy with just chips and salad they usually haven’t run out of this but burgers/pizza etc it goes so quickly. Bar drinks good, room was really nice (2nd time around) we got a family room garden view which was perfect. Showers were really good and cleaners were so lovely as well as bar staff. You can usually get a sunbed but be warned if you want to sit in the first 2 or 3 rows of the pools you’ll need to secure your lounger. I was on my balcony at 5:30am watching people running to secure front row loungers by the kids pool, if you showed up when it opens at 10am you might not be in luck. Iced coffees from Gelateria were great and cheap.

The beach at the hotel is lovely, if you walk to the sand beach to the left of the hotel it’s beautiful.

I got engaged on this holiday so a special one for me, I’d book this hotel if you’re happy to mostly stay on site to make use of the food and pools but if you’re wanting to be out and about daily, I would go somewhere less remote. Or if you like having shops etc around you.

Taxis are more expensive to book through hotel eg.taxi to airport €50 through hotel but €35 when booked through Radio Taxis

Definitely recommend visiting Zia, we ate at Oromedon which was lovely

Also a random one but be aware that if you want the air con on at night, it will light up the room with its digital numbers and many flashing buttons etc so if you like to sleep in total darkness this is not possible. It’s like having a side light on😂

I wouldn’t return but I’m glad the memories we made together as a family made our trip worthwhile even if not because of the hotel.

Be mindful of your belongings

We stayed at the White Olive Marine for 11 nights as a family with two young boys.

Overall, we had a nice holiday, but there were several disappointments that future guests should be aware of.

The hotel and rooms were always clean and tidy, and the housekeeping staff did a good job throughout our stay. The location is beautiful, situated right on the beach, and the pool and waterslides were excellent. Our boys had an amazing time, and this was undoubtedly the highlight of the holiday.

It was also my partner's birthday during our stay, and the hotel kindly decorated our room with balloons and left us a bottle of wine. It was a thoughtful gesture that we genuinely appreciated.

The food was fairly basic. There was enough choice, but it became repetitive over the course of our 11-night stay.

One thing that disappointed us was the "all-inclusive" package. Several items that many people would expect to be included, such as poolside ice cream, iced coffees and a number of cocktails, all came at an additional cost. This made the all-inclusive experience feel quite misleading and poor value.

The evening entertainment was average at best. It was enough to pass an hour, but it certainly wasn't one of the hotel's strengths.

The gym was also extremely disappointing. The only treadmill was broken throughout our stay, and the only piece of weight training equipment, a basic multi-gym, was also broken. I had to request that it be repaired before it was usable. If having a gym is important to you, don't expect much from the facilities here.

Unfortunately, our biggest disappointment was that one of my vests, worth around £30, went missing during our stay. I clearly remember seeing it in my suitcase early in the holiday, but when I later went to wear it, it had disappeared. I waited until I got home and unpacked everything to make sure I hadn't simply misplaced it. After thoroughly checking all of our luggage, it was nowhere to be found.

I contacted the hotel after returning home, but despite them carrying out an investigation, they said they found no evidence of what had happened and declined to reimburse me. While I appreciate that they investigated, I was disappointed with both the outcome and the way my complaint was handled.

In their final email, the hotel also stated that if an online review explicitly accused the hotel or its staff of theft without proof, they would refer the matter to their legal team to protect the company's reputation. I understand their position, but I found this response disappointing, as I was simply trying to resolve what I believe was a genuine issue regarding a missing personal item.

Based on my experience, I would recommend keeping a close eye on your belongings and avoiding leaving anything in your room that you would be upset to lose.

Although we enjoyed spending time together as a family and our boys loved the pool and waterslides, the limited all-inclusive offering, poor gym facilities, average entertainment and the unresolved issue of my missing item mean that I would not recommend this hotel, and I would not return in the future.
