Very good entertainment team, Nate and Leah were exeptionally great, and I had a good time, great activities including waterpolo.
We stayed at the Kypriotes Hippocrates Hotel for a week in July, having read some mixed reviews we therefore arrived with fairly average expectations. We were honestly so pleasantly surprised and had a fantastic holiday. Our room was clean, with lovely clean cotton-style sheets and comfortable pillows, although the bed itself wasn't the most comfortable. The air conditioning worked well, although we didn't actually need it as our room stayed naturally cool. The bathroom was quite dated and could definitely do with refurbishment, including the shower curtain, but this didn't detract from our overall experience. The staff were fantastic. A special mention to Stergiana at reception, who were so friendly and helpful, as were Margarita and the rest of the staff there. Cindy and the bar team, were brilliant. Following an unfortunate incident with an aggressive, intoxicated guest, waking everyone up in the early hours, the night manager and security dealt with everything extremely well. I was made to feel safe, moved to another room and the manager personally checked on me afterwards. The level of care was genuinely appreciated. We were also really impressed with the food and drinks. The food was tasty, salads were always fresh and there was always plenty of choice. For a three-star hotel, we thought the food was very good. The all-inclusive drinks were particularly impressive, with good-quality mixers, nice draught beer and wine, and a great cocktail selection. The pool is on the smaller side and is only open from 10am–6pm, but we never struggled to get a sunbed, even around 10am. There was plenty of daytime entertainment, including water aerobics, water polo, beer pong, yoga/Pilates and the very fun "Shaky Shaky" class. Evening entertainment included karaoke, quizzes and live singers. The entertainment team were great and very friendly. The location is good. Kos Town is around 10 minutes away by taxi, and there's a local free bus stop a few minutes' walk away, although buses can be busy and unreliable in peak season. We used the Kipriotis hotel group shuttle instead, which was €5 each way per person and very convenient. There's also a minimarket nearby, some restaurants within walking distance. We did a fantastic three-island boat trip during our stay and also visited the Panorama sister hotel rooftop bar for sunset, which was lovely and drinks are payable. What really made this holiday special was the friendly atmosphere. Because the hotel isn't huge, you get to know other guests and we made a brilliant group of friends. There are certainly a few areas that could be improved, particularly the bathrooms and beds, but for us the positives far outweighed the negatives. We had a wonderful week, were genuinely sad to leave.
We had a lovely week at this hotel, the animation team - Nate and Leah, and Cindy on the bar absolutely made it! Nate and Leah were absolutely brilliant, even though we didn’t take part in any activities until the last day, they still came to chat to us every day and made the whole week so fun! Cindy memorised our drinks order on the first night and made sure we were well topped up each night! I would agree with reviews saying the beds were very hard and the hotel was a little dated compared to the pictures online, but it was clean and welcoming which is all you need to enjoy a nice, chilled girls holiday!
On our last night and sad to leave! The staff are so lovely, from the people in the restaurant who always have a smile on their face to the bar staff, it’s such a nice environment to be in on holiday. We had a slight issue checking in (no fault of the hotel) as TUI hadn’t forwarded our booking details as we booked last minute but the lady on reception kept us completely at ease and it was sorted within 20 minutes so thank you! Drinks are not watered down like some all inclusives and the food has been great even for a fussy eater like myself. You don’t have to get up at the crack of dawn for a sun bed, most people come out around 8:30/9 but there’s still beds around 10:30/11. The hotel and rooms are clean, just the bathrooms could do with an upgrade but nothing to worry about. Evening entertainment is fun, we enjoyed the karaoke nights - the animation team are great, we are not the type to join in on activities as we prefer tanning and relaxing but they still had a chat with us most days and were so nice and welcoming. Thank you for an amazing week, hope to visit again in future.
Very nice hotel with very nice staff and the best barmans ever!
