Arrived at the hotel for a 14 night stay but on arrival was told that there was no booking in our name. Showed her the booking number provided by TUI but she was still insistent that we were not on the system. After a few phonecalls our booking was found , however the type of room we booked would not be available until the next day. the recertionist then gave us room 165 for the night .On entering the room you were instantly knocked back with the smell of sewage. Went back to reception but was told no other room available.We did not unpack or change our clothes as we did not want the smell to permeate our clothes so we left our cases in the luggage room.We slept in room 165 that night but woke up with several bite marks all over our bodies.Eventually we got anther room around 1pm the next day. Now for a honest report of the hotel. Rooms are very outdated but are quite big , however the lighting is very poor and the beds are quite low with mattresses that you can feel the springs.the bath didnt have a plug and the bottom was coated in a very rough finish which was To stop you slipping when you showered There as a over bath shower with a very old and mouldy shower curtain and thick layers of soap scum on the taps. The hotel was supposed to be disable friendly but the only ramps were up to hotel from outside and a ramp in reception ,these ramps were for suit cases not wheelchairs.Every where else there were steps.There were several disabled people staying at the hotel, including my wife ,who found getting around quite difficult.

The food was some of the worst we have come across in the many years of our travelling. There is only one coffee machine with a limited choice of drinks.There is only 1 soft drinks machine that served luke warm drinks for the 14 days we were there. The salad had old produce i.e soggy lettuce wth black edges and soft tomatoes. No cold meats were seved with the salad except at breakfast.There are no food choices for children. Bread was fresh for only a day and what was not eaten was dampened and rewarmed until it was gone. Pork and chicken were meats served every day.We were served brussels,and broccoli for breakfast. Cheeses same most days and there wre no crackers. Bottled water was not all inclusive apart for one bottle that was in your room fridge at the start of your holiday. Restaurant staff spoke little or no English and 2 of the waiters were totally deaf with others wearing hearingaids there communication was through sign language,I paise the hotel for employind disabled people but surely give them better jobs than working in the restaurantThe snack bar was a single fridge near the pool bar .and had cake fom 10am and salad stuff from around 4pm oh and soup around 11pm. We always got a sunbed but i think that was due to the time of year, you may struggle in peak season. However the sunnbeds are poor quality and very light..many a perso n ended up on the floor due to the beds tipping. there was only one bar which was the poolbar that opened between 10am and 1am. Drinks served in plastic throw away cups or plastic glasses that were very old,scratched and a breding ground for germs.The other problem was only one person serving at any one time so be prpared to do a lot of queing.Music around the pool was loud and to say it is a family hotel very inappropriate due to the swearing on some songs. there is a life guard in attendance when the pool is open 10am until around 6pm.The pool is not disabled friendly as the only way to enter the pool was by the steel laddersteps which only had 3 or 4 rungs so the last step into the pool was too far from the pool bottom. Entertainment in the day was always the same except for a day off on Wednesday. Stretching, Darts. ,Swim Aerobics, in the morning.Darts, Pool Polo, Boules in the Afternoon. Entertainment at night was around the Pool bar so space is limited and so we gave this a miss .bot consited of Bingo, Karaoke, Quizzes ,Dancing and sometimes Singers. Most of the staff seem to dislike their jobs and certain recertionists are very rude and unhelful. The beach outside the hotel is very rocky and dirty there are some old and dirty sunbeds that cost 10 euros per person. There are a couple of beach bars/huts.A couple of restaurants and car hire places along with a small shop (the shop at th hotel looks like it closed a long time ago) on the road outside the hotel.There is a bus stop were you can catch a bus for around 2 euros a person, You can use other facilities at its sister hotels but be aware that the food or drinks are not free even if you are all inclusive. We went with TUI who do not have any reps at the hotel or who visit the hotel and are very hard to get in touch with via te TUI app. This hotel may have been 4 star at some time but is definitely not 4 star now. I can only assume the good reviews are from younger people or wtitten by the h**** themselves.

Drinks good, bar staff all lovely especially Cindy-Ann. She is a diamond. Entertainment was good. Max and Nikita were both lovely. Chatted to everyone with no pressure to join. The live singers on an evening were amazing.

What let this hotel down was the following

• the food was average as you expect on all inclusive however it was rarely hot.
• the restaurant staff. Not very friendly and slow at clearing plates away
• the location - hour and 15 min walk into Kos. Hotel have a shuttle bus for 5 euros per person. Better using a taxi which you can download an app for as only 10 euros and will drop you wherever you want.
• the shower in the room. No pressure and Luke warm. We struggled to wash our hair.
• snacks - lack of snacks throughout the day. Cake and Ice cream only. Not really a snack.
