Eurovillage Achilleas Hotel

We had a pleasant stay at EuroVillage Achilleas. The hotel is well-run and the staff are friendly.

I want to give a huge compliment to little Caryn as i called her - their entertainment programs are fantastic and they are both so lovely and caring. They made my holiday truly special. I would like have loved to see more live singing shows though.

Food variety / quality could be improved in my opinion, but it did not spoil our overall experience.

The hotel is amazing the atmosphere is great the team is good

Just got back from this hotel, overall we liked it. In our opinion it’s good. We got there too late for tea but were handed a bag with cheese and ham rolls a couple of pears and a couple of bits of cake also 2 bottles of water which was a nice touch. Reception were very sweet always willing too help always smiling as was everybody on the site. We had to pay 35 euros each tax at reception. I wasn’t impressed first of all with the shower in the room because it was in the middle of the bath with a shower curtain I thought while you’re showering the curtain was going to cling to you, but it didn’t it was okay though the water ran hot and cold all the time . You can’t put toilet paper down the toilet so there’s a bin by the side of the toilet. It was a very small cheap bin and I found when you put your foot on it it fell over nearly every time which was annoying . The beds were Comfy, The room was okay except the curtains didn’t quite make it all the way across so you’ve got the light coming in we were overlooking the pool but also had a side view and a front view of a bit of the sea, but the lights were always on so there was always light coming in the bedroom. The cleaners only cleaned every other day and I didn’t think that’ Was very good because of the bin in the toilet. It was there two wholedays , very often where we were they never came until very late afternoon and that was when we just got back from a day out and was showering so we said no just empty the bin , they cleaned 3 times in 7 days. the site itself is beautiful. it’s got pomegranate trees, olive trees and planting all around. It’s very nice. The pool is huge and good always clean We never experienced any of the towel issues on the sunbeds probably because it wasOctober and not completely full when we were there. They have free sunbeds down on the beach as well. Be aware if you want to catch the bus anywhere, you have to go to Kos first . To get the bus, you have to walk just over a mile into Mastichari ,It’s a lovely walk along a path by the sea, in places the path is just sand but only for about 10 or 12 steps so if you’re pushing a wheelchair you could find it a little difficult in a few places , there is another way though but it’s a bit longer , the one by the sea is beautiful ,from Mastichari it’s 4 euros to Kos takes half an hour . taxi costs 35 euro,the hotel have a coach you can get for 7 euros but that’s 10-45 back at 2-30. The Food, well we enjoyed the food , so everyone’s taste is different and some don’t like it .. we thought it was good the yoghurt is gorgeous it’s thick and so creamy there was always a huge bowl of honey as well. Coffee was great you could make Turkish coffee as well. There is a chef who does fresh eggs and pancakes in the morning, it wasn’t like the usual food at AI it was nice meats always tender. There were stews and bolognaise chicken rice potatoes the chef had chips with meats . One night it was ribs they were great also they had whole Seabass that was delicious , I have never seen that before in an AI hotel it was great. We never went to the Italian restaurant so i cannot comment on it. The beer is ok but wine wasn’t very nice .one of the bar staff served hubby once and remembered what we had from then , impressive memory the Alcoholic drinks are ok . If you want some where to just kick back and relax this is a lovely place to do just that . We like to go out and about, we went on a boat trip to the islands which was nice 20 euro pp All in all I think this is a nice hotel especially for what you pay
