Brilliant hotel, great for family. Fantastic massage from Ella.
A really lovely property, and a great destination for young families. Swim up rooms nice and modern, and food as you would expect for this kind of resort. Beach perfect also.
I would be intrigued to know why the hotel doesn't make fresh cocktails? No major issue as I understand it's busy, but at least one bar doing premium drinks would be great perhaps?
The Alti Coast Club Hotel is currently a 4-star hotel and apparently wants to move towards 5 stars. After our experience, however, there is still a very long way to go.
We arrived expecting a good-quality holiday, but from the start we encountered one problem after another:
-Our room was not cleaned properly upon arrival. After reporting the dirty room, only part of it was cleaned again. The bathroom and baby’s room were still not cleaned. -There was a trail of ants in the baby’s room. -The bathroom sink was loose and dangerous. It was fortunately fixed quickly after we reported it. -The bathroom sink drain did not close properly. -We found cockroaches in the pool toilets and restaurants, as well as small cockroaches and earwigs in our room. -One cleaner kindly put flowers on our bed, but the flowers were full of ants. We had to remove them and change the bed sheets ourselves. -The biggest problem: gluten-free food
This is where our experience becomes truly unacceptable.
We informed the hotel about the gluten intolerance and, upon arrival, were even asked to fill in a form specifying the allergy. Unfortunately, it seemed that this was the last serious attention given to it.
Food labelled “gluten-free” was not actually gluten-free.
We also specifically requested food directly from the kitchen and explained the situation again. Even then, the food provided was not safe.
As a result, one of us became sick for a second time during the stay.
When we reported this to the chef and reception, we were told that it could be “something else” or perhaps “another allergy”. At no point did we receive an apology for the gluten issue, nor was there any acknowledgment that mistakes had been made. The only response we received was that the problem must lie elsewhere or with a different allergy.
This is not an acceptable way to deal with a declared food allergy/intolerance. Guests should not have to investigate the kitchen themselves or take responsibility for food that the hotel has explicitly presented as gluten-free.
If a hotel asks guests to declare an allergy and then serves food containing gluten anyway, the problem is in the hotel’s food-safety procedures, not with the guest.
Food & drinks
The food in both the main restaurant and snack bar was often dry, overcooked and clearly left sitting for too long.
The alcoholic cocktails were another disappointment. Many were simply poured from pre-mixed plastic bottles rather than freshly prepared.
The atmosphere in the kitchen was also striking. The staff often appeared unhappy and seemed to be working against their will. While we cannot know what is happening behind the scenes, this was noticeable and certainly did not contribute to a 5-star atmosphere.
Final verdict
We understand that this is currently a 4-star hotel and that mistakes can happen. But if the hotel wants to move towards 5 stars, the basics need to be fixed first:
Clean rooms. Proper pest control. Safe food. Genuine gluten-free options. Better food quality. Better attention to guests.
We came here for a relaxing holiday with our family and baby. Instead, we spent far too much time reporting problems, checking food and worrying about whether the food we were given was actually safe.
Based on our experience, this hotel still has a very long way to go before it deserves 5 stars.
We have just got back from a fantastic holiday at AKTI COAST CLUB.

Incredible experience. The atmosphere was so calming and relaxing. Emily gave me a circulation massage and facial and she was exceptional!!! I have a lot of tension in my back and she skilfully got rid of my knots, always checking on pressure. The foot massage was fantastic and really helped the tension. The facial was so relaxing, I nearly fell asleep. My skin feels amazing. 10/10. Would highly recommend!!!
