Our stay at the hotel was extremely disappointing and did not live up to the expectations set by the advertised standard.
We stayed for five nights but chose to eat out on three of those evenings because the food at the hotel was so disappointing. The food selection was very limited, repetitive and poorly presented. For an all-inclusive resort, the quality and variety of the food fell well below what we expected. The one exception was the grill, where the food was enjoyable. Unfortunately, it was only open during the afternoon, so it was not an option for evening meals.
The drinks were also of a very poor quality and were served in cheap plastic cups, which made the overall experience feel far below a four-star standard.
Unfortunately, many of the staff at the bars and grill appeared unhappy and unwelcoming. Simple requests, such as asking for ice, were often met with visible annoyance, making guests feel as though they were inconveniencing the staff.
The cleanliness of the main restaurant was also disappointing. Cutlery was frequently dirty, and the restaurant itself did not appear to be cleaned to an acceptable standard. In contrast, the rooms themselves were kept clean throughout our stay by the housekeeping team.
Customer service was lacking throughout our stay. Having to ask four separate times for an ironing board before receiving one is simply unacceptable.
The hotel also charges guests to use the shuttle bus that it advertises as one of its facilities. At £4 per person, it was actually more expensive than taking a taxi, yet the hotel offered little assistance in arranging one, making this seem like very poor value. They unsurprisingly had no issue assisting with a taxi to the airport since there they did not provide a service for this.
We specifically booked a suite based on the photographs shown online. However, the accommodation we received did not match those images. The advertising gives the impression that there are ground-floor suites directly on the beachfront, which is not the case.
The entertainment was another major disappointment. It was of a very poor standard, and on one occasion guests were even criticised for not bringing their own pen to participate, which was both surprising and unprofessional.
Finally, on the morning of our departure, housekeeping knocked on our door before 8:30 a.m. to ask when we were leaving. Being woken up early on our final day in this way was unnecessary and, in our view, unacceptable.
Overall, this hotel falls well short of the four-star rating it advertises. While the rooms were clean and the afternoon grill served good food, these positives were outweighed by the poor food offering in the main restaurant, low-quality drinks, disappointing customer service, cleanliness issues in the dining area, misleading room advertising and substandard entertainment. Sadly, we would not recommend staying here.
We have just returned from the Aeolos Beach Hotel on Kos, and it was our 10th visit. The fact that we keep coming back year after year speaks for itself. This place has truly become our second home.Everything was perfect, just as we expected. The resort is beautiful, well-maintained, and has a wonderfully relaxing atmosphere. What makes this hotel extra special is the incredible staff. They are always professional, welcoming, and treat us like family. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the food is delicious with plenty of variety, and the views are stunning. We enjoyed every single moment of our holiday.
Me and my partner came to Aeolos beach hotel for our 7th anniversary. We booked the premium beachfront bungalow which was fantastic as you get your own reserved sunbeds! (definitely worth the extra money) The room was beautiful very spacious and the bed was comfy . The views were absolutely gorgeous and the sunset was fantastic! The food was very nice however I feel there could have been more of a selection. There is 2 restaurants one main and one on the beach , definitely recommend going to the one by the beach at least once ! The staff were very friendly and genuinely happy to be there ! ( Nil and Dana were amazing ). The entertainment was also very good , quiz nights , karoake , music , and kids club most nights.
Only been here one day and one night but honestly loving every moment. So far any negative reviews I’ve seen are unsubstantiated and seem to be down to human error more than anything. It’s clear how and where to get drinks, there are no long queues. There are so many pools, if you want fun or quiet there is something for everyone. The food has been really tasty and we are rather fussy and used to fairly high end eating out, the meat is tender, the salad and fruit is fresh and the chips very yummy! If you’re travelling abroad from the UK - be realistic 4 star isn’t the same here as it is at home. All public areas have been spotlessly clean, including toilets. The gym is brand new - so any older reviews mentioning dated equipment - this is old news everything even smells like new. The beach by the hotel is rocky and you need some swim shoes but the sea is so warm and shallow I saw someone mentioned there is no room for two people side by side… it’s a shallow shoreline but this is a huge exaggeration, it’s great fun! On site shop is perfect for souvenirs, snacks (not that you need them!) little toys, sun lotion etc. staff have been nothing but friendly and helpful, no negatives whatsoever. The ice cream is all inclusive and plentiful. The beer is VERY nice! Cocktails are also inclusive and they certainly do not skimp on measures (Long Island tea.. eeesh too strong for me!) we are having a wonderful experience and I’m fairly certain we will return! 2 adults with 10 year daughter and 5 year son.
Unsure why this is a 4 star resort, at best it’s a 3 star. The drinks are awful. Especially the water and anything from the taps. It’s like they need to clean out there pipes. It has been mentioned by the staff that the beer is watered down. The water is awful they only give you one bottle on arrival and then you have to pay for the rest and the water from the bar / restaurants is disgusting. Apple, orange & pineapple juice is not much better, the food is very limited but even so the quality lacks. They give you tiny plates so you can’t get much on them. The beach Is horrendous with spikes and very small. When arrived my bed sheets were wet and we felt itchy. Not a great impression.
