This charming hotel is in Kefalos. The property is a family run friendly hotel located on the hillside of Kefalos overlooking the sea of Kamari bay offering 70 cosy units. The hotel offers Wi-Fi internet connection on-site. This property offers a 24-hour reception service, so that guests' needs will be fully met at any time of the day or night. Cots are available for younger guests on request. Pets are not allowed at Hermes. A fee may be chargeable for some services.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Don’t stay here! It is the worst hotel experience we’ve had from the beginning. When arrived we was told that we got to pay for air conditioning which we wasn’t told when booking the holiday which we wasn’t happy about we spent 2 nights on balcony as there was no controls for air conditioning. The location was an issue as the hotel is far away for everything . The room was disgusting with 5 lizards coming out of bedding ants on sheets last client hair under bed and in bathroom toilet not cleaned dirt round cup in bathroom extractor fan in bathroom was in poor condition showing electrical wires. Breakfast was very limited and had flies round food .Had to carry own suitcase up slope or steps to get to rooms as it was up the hill . The staff was very rude apart from the nighttime barman who was polite . We will definitely not be returning to this hotel
Lovely 7 nights stay at the Hermes Hotel Lovely family run business Hotel is very clean and the views are spectacular Breakfast is served 8:00am-10:00am Which consists of breads ,cheese , Ham salad, watermelon ,boiled eggs, cereal Yogurt. Sometimes beans Nice coffee from a machine

Lots to do in the area ( dining out) 10 minute walk to the beach which is also clean great for snorkelling (beach shoes recommend as the sea is rocky and lots of stones Kefalos market (supermarket Offer sun bed 2x with umbrella €10
Air conditioning is paid per day €7 Hotel tax around €36 (can’t remember total price so just an estimate) Club sandwich and fries (pool bar €10 Can pop €3 Water (big bottle) €1
Z tours for taxi services are brilliant
Thank you for a lovely stay Hoping to see you again next year
As I sit here on my last night overlooking the beautiful views I thought I would write .....the hotel may not be a luxury 5 star but what you get here is a lovely family run very welcoming experience from minute you step in. We are staying in a family room with bunk beds overlooking the sea ..has a kettle and fridge....room is cleaned everyday and is faultless. The hotel is set in the hills you are guaranteed a sunbed at the pool and no one comes round making you do the pool side activities everyone dreads !! Snack bar is great reasonably priced etc....breakfast egg beans toast cake yoghurt melon... coffee machine is lovely and the fruit juice is not watered down ! Most rooms do have a hill / steps to get up ...but are manageable. There are plenty of resturants throughout and the staff can arrange for the resturants to collect and drop you back at no charge....the portions are huge !! The hill is ok and manageable if you are bordering on normal / unfit !! No cabs are here ...use ztours they are excellent and reasonably priced about 3 euros each person to get to beach.. bars etc - hotel staff will arrange or just give them a call. Can't fault our stay and will definitely be back.... hermes you are a delight and should be proud of your hotel...hope to see you again soon !
We visited Hermes at the end of June / early July 26 and were absolutely delighted with our choice of hotel! From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel very welcome and this was continued throughout by all the excellent staff during our stay. The hotel is extremely well run, clean (rooms cleaned / beds changed every day), with lovely surrounding gardens and fantastic sea views from our room and also bar area. Pool area is great, with plenty of sun beds to go round whatever the time of day. Breakfast was good, choice of cereals, honey, Greek yoghurt, melon, cheese, selection of cold meats and an absolute must for me - baked beans!! Coffee machine was excellent too and lovely to drink a few cups and take in the awesome views straight after breakfast! Both the pool bar and main hotel bar were excellent. Dimitrius serves an excellent cocktail and again was always happy to see us. Great choice of local tavernas and bars within walking distance of the hotel - however would highly recommend the tavernas in Kefalos village - accessed via a very steep hill, however the restaurant staff from the village will collect you and drop you back off at the hotel.
We enjoyed our stay that much, we have just booked again to go in September and cannot wait to return. Thank you again Diana and all your team for a lovely holiday!
This my favourite place to visit. It’s the only place I return again and again. We had 12 perfect days here at the end of June beginning of July. Diana and Sebastian work long hours to make sure every guests needs are met. If you want to chill by the pool, relax on an evening in the bar where Dimitri makes sure drinks are made exactly as you want them then this is the perfect place. I highly recommend the cocktails. Views out to sea at breakfast. This is all fresh local produce. I’ve travelled and you will never find friendlier people and that’s everywhere. Shops, restaurants and cafes. The food in the village is excellent and all reasonable prices. We’ve never had a bad meal. It’s a great spot for renting a quad/buggy or moped and exploring the island. Great organised trips are available to book locally. This is not a party spot, the nightlife is great food, drinks and fantastic views. The Hermes is the perfect base to stay, however I would not recommend it if you struggle with mobility as it has steep areas and steps. It’s great for burning off the extra calories you will definitely eat. Thank you for a perfect holiday.
