Mitsis Norida Beach

We have just spent 10 days at the Mitsis Norida, overall very impressed. As said by many others the staff are fantastic, special mentions for Giannis at the lower pool bar and Ervis who rescued a clumsy old man (me) who cut his finger open - rooms were lovely, cleaned every day to high standard and mini also stocked up every day. Food to die for - main restaurant loads of choices - pizzas so good as they were at the pizza bar on the beach. The 3 à la carte restaurants are fantastic, lovely setting with great food - can’t understand why they don’t leave a bottle of wine at your table, at times we had to wait 15 minutes to be topped up and on one occasion wife had to go and find a waitress we had waited that long. Entertainment wasn’t really our thing - designed for families which is fine and right to cater for that audience. Couple of minor points - in places, particularly footpaths and round some of the pools the hotel looked a bit tired and some maintenance is required, but being as the hotel closes in a couple of weeks I would hope it gets addressed in the close season - also an adults only pool might be worth investing in, we were literally driven away from the lower pool area by a group of children, screaming, and I do mean screaming for well over half an hour whilst their parents seemed oblivious to the noise - having recently stayed at a RIU hotel and an IKOS hotel I would put Mitsis in the middle just above RIU - and it is half the price of an IKOS resort.

We were here with my mum and sister and everythig was amazing! Delicious meal, perfect staff, nice beach... We were there without any children (after many years) and it was perfect relax :) Thank you!

We had a wonderful holiday at Mitsis Norida and would 100% recommend it to others! What really made our stay so special was the staff. Every single person we came into contact with was friendly, welcoming and brilliant with our daughter. They went out of their way to make her smile, laugh and feel special, which meant so much to us as parents.

There were a few members of staff in particular who really stood out and deserve a special mention.

Argellyn, one of the waitresses, was absolutely lovely. She remembered our room number and made sure our daughter’s meal was sorted each evening, which was particularly reassuring given her food allergies.

Christine, another waitress, was just so lovely, and Elli, who I believe is the restaurant manager, was always so happy to see our daughter and made us feel welcome every time.

The young man working at the meat counter at the back of the restaurant also deserves a mention. We don’t know his name, but he was fantastic and always managed to make our daughter smile and giggle!

A particularly big thank you to the head chef, who was absolutely amazing when it came to managing our daughter’s food allergies. He couldn’t have done more to help us understand what she could and couldn’t eat, and the care and effort he put into this made such a difference to our holiday. As parents of a child with food allergies, this level of care and reassurance is invaluable.

The children’s entertainment team were also fantastic. A special mention to the lovely young lady whose name we unfortunately didn’t get. Our daughter is still so little, but she made her feel so happy and confident dancing alongside the older children. She always made a special effort to spend time with her and dance with her, making sure she felt included. It was so lovely to see our daughter enjoying herself and feeling part of everything, and we really appreciated the extra attention she gave her.

The evening entertainment was brilliant too! We particularly loved the group from South Africa (we’re so sorry we can’t remember their name!) and the gentleman who performed with his guitar. Both were fantastic and created such a great atmosphere. They really got us in the mood to sing, dance and join in, and the entertainment was a real highlight of our evenings.

The housekeeping team were also fantastic, and honestly, all the staff we encountered were brilliant. Everything seemed to run like a tight ship, and the friendliness and attentiveness of the team really stood out throughout our stay.

There were just two small areas where we felt things could have been better. On our first night, we had an accident involving our daughter in the bathroom, and initially, we felt that the seriousness of the incident wasn’t fully recognised. However, after discussing our concerns with the manager, we were very happy with how everything was handled. The matter was resolved well, and a goodwill gesture was offered. We really appreciated the way our concerns were addressed and how the hotel responded once the situation had been brought to their attention.

We also found that the service in the à la carte Asian restaurant was quite slow. Our food took a long time to arrive, while other tables who had arrived considerably later than us were served first. This was a small blip in an otherwise fantastic experience.

Overall, we had a brilliant holiday and left with so many lovely memories. The staff genuinely made our stay, particularly the way they welcomed our daughter, made her feel special and went above and beyond to accommodate her food allergies. From the restaurant team to the children’s entertainers and evening performers, so many people made a lasting impression on us.

The names mentioned are just a few of the people who really stood out, but every member of staff we encountered deserves recognition for how friendly, welcoming and helpful they were.

Thank you to the whole team at Mitsis Norida for making our holiday so special. Despite the initial hiccup, we were very happy with how our concerns were ultimately handled, had a fantastic time and would absolutely recommend the hotel to other families. ❤️
