Laga Aegean Village is a hotel resort located on the golden sandy shores of the south coast of Kos Island in Greece.
It's layout and use of space is characteristic of the distinctive Aegean architecture, which is apparent in the hotel's design. Built on a slope, every corner offers magnificent views of the endless deep blue Aegean Sea.
Staying at Laga Aegean Village is a treat for even the most demanding guest, as holidays of quality with high standards are offered. It is the hotel's objective and priority to offer guests the very best in hospitality, accommodation and services, and it is no wonder that repeat guest levels continue to rise yearly.
The main building lounges, restaurants, bars and facilities are located at the bottom of the slope, while all 330 rooms are situated on the hillside, which are accessed by the 24-hour complimentary mini-bus service.
There is a smart-casual dress code for evening meals. All gentlemen are required to wear long trousers and women are asked to dress appropriately.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Really lovely experience for me and my 15 year old daughter. The hotel isn’t too busy, plenty of foods, tables and sun beds ect for everyone to choose from.
We have barely left the hotel, we are here for a poolside relaxing holiday and it hasn’t disappointed! There are buses into the local town and beyond and sea cruises etc if desired.
It’s been a very relaxing and refreshing break. Brilliant value for money.
It has its own little shop in case you forgot anything. All Staff so friendly and helpful.
The work surfaces and beds had small black bugs, and red ants in room. Floor in room made my bare feet black, it was filthy. Bedding was not changed during our stay. Swimming pool was lovely, though sun loungers were uncomfortable. Beach was not good. Cold breakfast was ok, cooked not pleasant. Evening meal was good. Evening entertainment on one night was singer and saxophonist who were amazing. Best night. Reception staff (two women) were very rude, and would not let us speak no matter what we were asking. They would cut us off before we could finish speaking. Day prior to leaving we asked for procedure for bag collection in the morning. They told us to call down and ask for bag collection. Following day we did as requested. Half an hour later still waiting. Called again. Woman just shouted the collection was on its way and hung up, before we could speak. Waited another ten minutes, same thing happened. After almost an hour waiting and on next call (we were going to miss breakfast) we called again. Same woman as one of other calls literally shouted down phone that the collection van had came but we weren’t there. We tried to speak but phone was slammed down on us. I have metal plates and pins in my foot, as room was up top of hill and sloping all the way which was why we requested assistance. Eventually we had no option other than to make the journey very slowly down to reception with all our bags and hand luggage. We asked to speak to manager the same two women would not let us. They actually laughed at us - can you believe?!! We had to keep repeating manager to them before they reluctantly made a call. Manager did not come so I had to que up again. I got told by receptionist that she (reception staff not manager) was too busy and to wait. Waited. Que again. Same response. Third time I said I’m not moving this time. Reluctantly they called her. She came out. She sympathised, said she would speak to them. This could have been a wonderful holiday, that was sadly ruined by certain staff. We have stayed in many hotels the world over. There is no way this hotel is 4 star. This is a 3 star tops. Cleanliness of rooms leaves much to be desired. Take spray for bugs in room.
The perfect family vacation! I want to refute what others have claimed: there were absolutely no insects in the room, in the bed, under the bed, etc. The bed linen was changed daily, and the floors were washed. I really appreciated the long-trousers rule at dinner; it added a touch of elegance to the meal. The sight of hairy legs and flip-flops really doesn't appeal to me. The staff were very friendly, always smiling, and ready to help. The beach was superb—located right across from the hotel—featuring sand and natural shade, which I considered a huge plus. The atmosphere throughout the resort—at the pool, the beach, and during meals—was incredibly peaceful. The food, both at breakfast and dinner, was excellent! I honestly don't know what some people expect in order to be satisfied. If they want caviar, they should go to hotels costing 10,000 euros a night, not here. I have just one suggestion for the hotel management: a drying rack installed on the balcony would be very useful. All in all, a superb location if you are looking for peace, relaxation, and good taste! If you're after something else, go elsewhere!
The building is lovely – not modern, but well-built and fairly well-maintained. The rooms are simple and quiet, and most offer sea views. Good size Comfortable double bed. Spacious wardrobe Perfect flooring The only downside is the air conditioning; the split units are old and a bit noisy.
The bathroom is comfortable, although we would have preferred a modern shower rather than a bath with a shower. Excellent range of shampoos
For our week’s holiday, we opted for half-board, and we were very satisfied with it; the dining room is very well organised, with a buffet offering something for everyone. The flawless organisation of the entire dining and kitchen staff is worth highlighting. A special thank you to the waiter of Armenian origin (Arthur), who always served us well and with a smile. Bravo
A very beautiful and spotlessly clean swimming pool, reaching a depth of 2.7 metres (though it doesn’t have a diving board) A well-equipped, sandy beach; there’s a daily extra charge of €4 per person for a sun lounger and parasol. The sea is beautiful, with clear waters and plenty of fish.
The location is convenient, allowing you to reach the village of Kardamaina in a 10-minute walk.
In conclusion: the hotel has room for improvement (it could be considered a 3-star superior), but the organisation and staff are excellent, so I’d say it deserves 4 stars and offers excellent value for money.
This isn’t a great 4 star hotel. The selection of food is below average and the dinner is only until 20:45. Also you literally need to pay for everything that should be included in the price. For example we needed to pay for sunbeds at the hotel private beach, mini golf and gym. The rooms also have a strange smell of old furniture and the water also smells strange/stinks when you open the shower. At least the reception changed us the room because of the bad smell. The hotel is mostly adjusted for German tourists, some staff speak English bad and are also rude. The guy that gives you coffee at breakfast was unkind.
