Jiannis recommended

Jiannis did a deep tissue massage and it was fantastic. He makes sure that you are comfortable and adapts to your needs, and he is well-placed for anyone that is an athlete due to his sports background, highly recommended!

TripAdvisor Review

Beautiful resort. Also the spa treatments are INCREDIBLE - Jiannis was brilliant, absolutely top tier!

Had a great experience with a massage Joanne’s was very welcoming, understanding and knew what he was doing to help me feel relaxed throughout the session and was able to tell me what issues he has come across and how he comforted that.

Quiet and relaxing

Went for a short vacation with my husband, and we really enjoyed our stay. It was very relaxing and the service was great.

The room was spacey and accommodating. The pool is big (though very cold), and there are nice activities in the pool area for those who are interested. The location of the hotel is superb! 15 minutes drive from the airport.

Spa: we did a couples journey treatment and it was great: very relaxing and our therapists (Julia and Ioannis) were skilled professionals 10/10. Food: We stayed h/b, and were very surprised by the variety of the vegan options at the dinner buffet. In the morning there were fewer options but still good. The downside is that there wasn't an option for soy cappuccino at breakfast (they had only regular milk for coffee). But there was a big variety of plant-based milk for cereal at the buffet. There were no vegan cakes or pastries as well (though there were many desserts for non-vegans) both at breakfast and at dinner. For lunch the only option was the Ammos bar near the pool area - they had only one vegan hummus sandwich and one small vegan salad. Not great for vegans. BUT they had soy cappuccino! :)

Overall we really enjoyed our stay. It was quiet and relaxing (the adults-only experience was definitely worth it).

Lovely holiday - Honest review

This is a long but honest review of the Atlantic belvedere resort. We have just returned from a 10 night stay at this hotel. We took a long time deciding on wither or not to book it as the reviews were some what mixed.

Check in We arrived later than expected after a 4 hour delay, meaning we missed our transfer bus so were given a taxi to the hotel. The hotel is no more than a 20 minute drive from the airport which is great. When we arrived at the hotel we were greeted with fresh water and offered Prosecco. Our cases were taken off us and put on the buggy ready to be taken to our room. We had a little wait at the desk as there were a few others waiting to check in at the same time. Unfortunately, we felt as though the man checking us in missed a lot of information out. We were told which room we were staying in and then asked for our resort tax which we were a bit shocked at to say the least. We are more than aware that there would be a payment however 150Euro was a bit of a shock. Being asked to pay this upon check in was a bit much. We weren't given any information on where the restaurants were, or what times lunch or dinner where so thankfully we managed to find this out using the helpful information boards around the hotel.

Rooms We stayed in room 646 which was a slight walk away from the main section of the hotel. It was a lovely room, very comfy bed and great shower. There were robes and slippers provided along with a fully stocked mini bar(however we didn't know this was free to use until our last couple of days) Another thing we felt like we should have been told or at least a note left in the room. There was fresh bottles of water in our room every day and shampoo, conditioner and body washes as well. We phoned reception one night to ask for an iron, we were given it for an hour and ironed everything so that we didn't need it again. The only thing we would say is that there were great black out blinds and curtains in the room however there's a massive sky light which defeats the purpose of the blinds unfortunately. Overall the room was clean and comfortable.

General hotel/swimming pool The hotel itself is beautiful however be prepared to get your steps in as it is vast. It is mostly cobbled definitely bring comfortable flat shoes. The main swimming pool is lovely however it is freezing! There were plenty of sun loungers available around the hotel. People do put towels down but most people sit out from about 10am so it's not too early. There are a few pools dotted around but some of these are not for swimming in which is a bit weird we thought? The beach wasn't our favourite, the beds went so quickly we didn't manage to get one throughout our 10 days and it's a stoney beach. We traveled through to a beach bar in kardamena one day and it was much better to swim in.

Restaurants/ food/drinks This is where we were slightly let down. We were all inclusive. Upon booking we were not made aware that there would be extra charges for certain drinks. After paying 4k for our holiday we thought this was really unnecessary. Extra charges for things such as daiquiris which is obviously a popular cocktail on holiday, there really is no need. We asked why this was and were told its because it takes the staff extra time to make? Breakfast was really nice, yoghurt stations, nice fruit and hot and cold breakfasts. Lunch - we loved the beach bar where you could have gyros, souvlaki and salads etc but we also tried the buffet a few times which was also nice. Dinner - buffet restaurant was just OK. The food was nice enough but there was nothing outstanding and it was basically the same every night. We traveled out a few nights for food.
We tried to free Ala carte restaurant one night which was beautiful. We thought this was a great idea to offer the guests a free visit. It was also a 3 course offer. One thing we noticed was that the drinks were served during the day in really small glasses which was annoying as it meant you had to go up more often.

Staff Every single member of the waiting staff were so lovely. The pool bars and the beach bars specifically and at night at the main section where the entertainment was. These guys and girls work incredibly hard in roasting hot conditions and long hours. However they are spoke to like absolute rubbish by the supervisors and the managers. We noticed this a few times, in specific the guy who works at the pool/beach bar during the day. We felt so awkward and it made us feel terrible for the staff members. We tipped the waiters on our last day after hearing how bad the conditions were for them. Charton, Manuele, Mateusz, Skye and so many others to mention a few names. We also noticed that a few of the managers seemed to overlook us. The entertainment group were also great, nice people who made sure they got to know us without being annoying. The spa staff go round every day trying to get you to book a spot. It starts to get annoying so just say no thanks.

Location wise there is NOTHING around the hotel. It is a resort. There is a bus that goes into town a few time a day which is so cheap and easy to use. We loved it and done it every other night as the entertainment in the hotel was ok but nothing great.

Overall, we had a great holiday and a lovely break however we paid a lot of money for this holiday and felt like it didn't match up to the 5 stars its advertised. The food was a major part for us but we're glad that the bus into town was so accessible as we got to have some great meals there.
