This is the third Atlantica we have stayed at, twice in Rhodes and then Corfu last year. We went all inclusive again this year, staying in a room with private pool ( room 405). As with all the hotels the reception on arrival is great, cold towels and a glass of prosecco and a buggy ride to the room. Negatives first - the room and bathroom were a little tired and could do with an update. The shower leaked badly at every use and the brown stains in the toilet bowl never disappeared. On one occasion our room wasn’t cleaned and no bottled water delivered; however these were rectified by reception as soon as we reported it. We also had to ask for the shower gel and soap to be refilled and body lotion etc was not routinely replenished ( luckily I had brought my own). Positives - all the staff were lovely and on the whole, very efficient; the food was great, plenty of choice; the snacks at the beach bar were all included in the AI package and there was a good selection of drinks and cocktails also. We had a private pool which was great, approx 9 metres so you could have a decent swim, and the terrace was really big. The room was also in a very quiet part of the hotel so, unlike some of the pool rooms, there was very little footfall past our room. The evening entertainment was good, but the layout of the seating area is poor - there is a large expanse of pool between the entertainment stage and the far end of the seating so you felt disconnected from the action and couldn’t hear or see them very well. There often wasn’t enough outside seating meaning people had to sit inside - why not remove some of the pool ( which doesn’t seem to be used for swimming) and increase the seating area? On the whole we had a lovely holiday but for the price we paid for the room we would have expected a higher standard.
Amazing hotel in all aspects!
Wonderful location! Beach front 30 meters from the pool, beautiful sea view and mountain view, quiet and peaceful surroundings. 10 minutes local bus (2€ per person per way) or taxi (11€ per car per way) to local town Kardamena with supermarket, touristic shops, bars, restaurants, small dock/beach walk.
Fantastic service! Kind, helpful, calm, super flexible and truly caring staff everywhere - in the reception, the restaurant (shoutout to Tea and Taulant!) and guest relations. Extremely efficient, reliable and lovely service at all times and in all areas.
Clean and modern facilities! Spacious rooms, bathrooms with 2 showers - 1 shower + bath and 1 other shower. Comfortable beds and very good room service. Big balconies.
Delicious food! The restaurant offers a wide variety of warm dishes, freshly grilled proteins, themed stations, elaborate salad and cheese bar as well as fruits and deserts station. The pool bar offers a range of alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks including coffee. The pool snacks bar offers delicious mediterranean meals with traditional greek dishes that differ from the restaurant - gyros, souvlaki…
Well rounded activities! Huge pool, padel court, tennis court, pingpong table, beach volleyball, beach boule, dart board, aqua gym, yoga sessions and outdoors gym sessions - all for free. Lovely spa with treatments - for a fee.
Would recommend any families or couples to stay here if visiting Kos!
Just went on a nice "deep recovery journey" at the Aego Spa. Great treatment done by Giannis. Helped a lot to release tension in the upper back.
