This family-friendly resort is situated in southern Kefalonia, close to Avithos beach. This is a lovely, fertile region where olive trees and citrus orchards abound. The coastline faces the tiny island of Dias and offers magnificent views to the island of Zakynthos across the channel. The resort's location makes an ideal setting for a peaceful and tranquil holiday. The nearby village of Svoronata is never crowded with tourists so there are no intrusive noises or sights to hamper your relaxation and private time. The resort is a perfect place for a holiday and an ideal base for exploring the island. The nearby villages of Kaligata, Kourkoumelata and Metaxata are charming local villages each with its own character and history. Guests will find restaurants within 200 metres of the accommodation, whilst shops are 1 km away. The beach resort of Lassi and the capital of Argostoli are 8 and 10 km away respectively. The airport is 3 km away and the transfer takes approximately 20 minutes.
This air-conditioned resort is a brand new complex, which has been built in the traditional Kefalonian style and is set in spacious gardens. The living quarters are well designed and decorated, combining elegance and comfort and have all the amenities for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday. Property facilities include a lobby with hotel safe and currency exchange facilities, a café and snack bar, fax services and an Internet corner with WIFI access. Guests can relax in the TV lounge, which features satellite channels, and can leave their cars in the private car park. The resort offers disabled access.

Highly Recommended Resort
Totally relaxing resort especially in early May. Spotlessly clean,friendly and helpful staff. Big shout out to CHRISTINA who was so accommodating Food a bit pricey but very good quality Sunbeds very comfortable and a really nice pool.
A Spotless Stylish Resort with Exceptional Service
We spent 7 wonderful nights at Avithos Resort, and it truly exceeded our expectations. The hotel’s perfect location made it an ideal base for exploring Kefalonia, and hiring a car through the hotel was seamless.
The guest experience was great, and incredibly accommodating everyone we met were genuinely happy to help. Stella kindly made a couple of restaurant reservations for us and all the team shared their knowledge of the area and the wide island always making helpful suggestions.
It was also lovely to meet guests who have been returning for years, which says so much about the warmth and consistency of the resort. The nearby restaurants were fantastic, especially Sea Salt, Preview, and Esperides, all adding to the charm of the area.
As first‑time visitors to Kefalonia, we were struck by how genuinely friendly and helpful everyone was across the island.
The hotel itself is beautiful, with stylishly designed rooms and spotless grounds. A little more storage, such as drawers and touches like dressing gowns would have been appreciated , but overall the space was thoughtfully laid out and very comfortable.
One idea that could enhance the experience even further would be to use the lovely indoor seating areas for informal welcome evenings, giving guests a chance to meet the team and one another. We’ve experienced this in other hotels and always found it a warm, personal touch.
We’ve already recommended Avithos Resort to friends and family and fully intend to return. It’s a beautiful hotel in a fantastic location, perfect for those who enjoy exploring by car and discovering the island’s many hidden gems.

Amazing stay
Just returned from a fabulous week at the resort- we were new to Svoronata and took advice from others reviews when selecting Avithos - and so glad we did!
The setting is beautiful, easy to walk to beaches and restaurants, handy supermarket not too far away, we had a hire car to venture further afield.
The studios were very well appointed and the garden's immaculate- everything was kept clean and tidy and gave a peaceful atmosphere to the guests- no loud music from the bar!
The pool was welcoming with plenty of sun beds and loungers to choose from of all shapes and styles ( we did see reservations/towels on them throughout the day even though there are notices in all the parasols stating prohibited!) but there are still more than enough to choose.
The breakfast buffet was amazing ( we had a B&B option) so much choice and very well presented - the best we have seen in Kefalonia.
Variety of guests from babies to adults and all mixed along with a smile in this lovely resort- thank you to all the team in Avithos Resort ☀️
