Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
The hotel is located near a couple of beaches and off the main road. It is a beautiful hotel with a relaxing atmosphere. The friendly staff are keen to make your stay enjoyable and the food is delicious. The room was spacious and clean. It was well stocked with fresh toiletries, tea, coffee and water. There was always plenty of vacant space around the pool. We are looking forward to visiting this beautiful hotel again.
Stunning, chic hotel. We had a lovely stay at the Thalassa. We stayed in a Garden view room - it was perfect. Fresh, clean, modern, minimalist look. Fresh towels every day, water replenished each day. Room had a fridge to store own drinks/ milk for tea/coffee.
Staff are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was an ample array of hot, cold, sweet, savoury - everything you could need.
Since the hotel is bijou in size, it never felt busy, even though it was at full capacity.
We got a sunbed by the pool every day, regardless of the time we arrived, whether it be 11 in the morning or 3 in the afternoon. Fresh pool towels are provided everyday,
The pool was area was clean and tidy, with staff on hand to serve drinks and food to your side.
Local amenities are just a short (10 min max) walk - supermarket, restaurants, bus stop , car hire etc.
Beach a short 3 minute walk. There is a very large hotel being built right in front of the Thalassa, it looks intimidating when you arrive, but don't worry. It did not impact us. Being slightly above on the hill, the Thalassa is not significantly blocked by the new build. We didn't hear any building noise that offended us (the Cicadas drown anything out anyway, the sound of Kekalonia!)
All in all, the hotel is exactly as pictured online, and would recommend to anyone wanting a relaxing, classy time away.
Staff were absolutely fantastic and genuinely couldn’t do enough for you throughout the stay. The sunbeds were unbelievably comfortable — honestly the kind you could spend an entire day on without moving. The whole hotel is spotless, beautifully maintained, and feels incredibly well‑run. Pool towels are provided each day. The pool bar food is exquisite, especially the lobster pasta, which is easily one of the standout dishes. There is a hotel being built opposite, but we didn’t hear any building noise at all, and it doesn’t affect the view since it sits lower. Taxi to Argostoli 8-10 euros. Overall, a brilliant and relaxing stay.
A Gem of a hotel, offering all the benefits of chilled, adults only Boutique 70 room establishment. So many reviews talk about the staff and food, these indeed are the highlights. Everybody who looked after us did so with a genuine smile and great attention to detail but without it being stuffy or insincere. I’ve stayed in better hotels for the quality of the rooms but it didn’t detract from the overall experience at all. My brother stayed in the same standard room as us but it was newer and larger. The rooms had all the amenities you would need including robes, slippers, coffee machine, daily water bottles and chocolate on turn down. The pool area was great offering plenty of space to relax on high quality double bed loungers, offering sufficient shade by the parasols or beautiful Olive trees. It never seemed crowded and you didn’t need the early morning alarm to bag a bed. Two lovely pools at perfect temperature to cool down. Breakfast was a sumptuous buffet with everything you could want, the fresh fruit platter was a highlight. We lunched and dined most days at the hotel although did visit Lassi and Argostoli which offered great alternatives. We also arranged a car hire for the day through reception and visited some lovely beaches across the island. It’s one of the few places and hotels we’ve visited where we’ve already said we will return.
Just returned from a week staying at this amazing hotel. Every single member of staff were brilliant from reception to bar, breakfast, maids, so friendly and attentive. The setting is perfect and the atmosphere very chilled. We will 100% be back. Keep up the fantastic work.
