- Mediterranee Hotel

The hotel is situated in the southwest side of Kefalonia Island and specifically in the tranquil surroundings of the Lassi coastline just 2km from Argostoli, the capital city of Kefalonia. Set just above a small sandy beach. The hotel offers spectacular view to the bay of Lixouri. The crystal clear waters make the beach ideal for swimming but also exploring the seabed. A large swimming pool with section for children, a tennis court, a ping-pong table or nights with live Greek music are only some of the kinds of entertainment offered by the hotel.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
We had a pleasant time at this very nice hotel. Well located with a small beach next door, cleanliness and staff were all good, although I found the bar staff in the main bar in the evening a bit unfriendly. Not suitable for those with poor mobility as the hotel is at the bottom of a steep slope. We went into Argostoli most days, 10 Euros each way in a taxi, buses also go there but seem a bit hit and miss so we stuck with cabs
We travelled as a couple with a 1 year old & with my parents and sister. The staff are absolutely fantastic - the reception staff were great with my son & remembered his name Luca. The maids again were so lovely, always said good morning and was always smiling, rooms were spotless even though they were dated they felt so clean. The guy behind the snack bar again is so smiley & polite, the staff really make the hotel.
Pool was very clean.
The hill is quite steep and pushing a pram up there every night especially in the heat isn’t ideal, but it burnt a few calories so you can’t complain.
The hotel was great & I would recommend it to anyone. Much better than I imagined it was going to be.
Lovely location but at the bottom of a hill if you struggle with walking ,beach is also very nice .The rooms are very dated and our pillowcase hadn't been changed from previous guests still makeup on them and some long haires.. the cleaning through the week got no better towels only changed twice and sheets not at all bathroom bin also didn't get emptied, shower was above a bath on a hose that depending on time of day if you got hot or cold water . Breakfast was different!!! . This has been a great hotel in its day but now in need of lots of TLC ..not four stat .
As always a lovely stay with excellent staff, kept beautifully clean and splendid upgrading to the restaurant, reception and corridors. Breakfast even better than before but best avoided after 9am as this was the busy time. The rooms were perfectly nice with basic needs were well served to a good standard. The only negative was the rather slimy pool with tons of sand at the sides and grease floating on the surface. By 9am most of the decent sunbeds were towelled whilst the British culprits had enjoyed a lie in and a late breakfast. I don’t think there is any point having a rule that sunbeds shouldn’t be reserved if they don't enforce it. Parents were coating their children with suntan cream then letting them get straight in the pool 🫤. We rarely used the pool for these reasons also it was far too noisy. Next time we will visit in June when it’s mainly couples and normality returns. One final surprise was being warmly greeted by Lambros, the previous Maître D who was in the reception area when we checked out. We missed his warmth in the restaurant.
Perfect location. However if you do struggle to walk a bit, remember there is a steep 200m walk to get up onto the strip. Massive problem with the towels on sunbeds, both around the pool and on the beach. All British culprits by the way. Rooms ok but a little noisy. Breakfast is very good, just go a little earlier to enjoy it peacefully. Staff very good. We were in room 17 and there is a pump noise outside somewhere all the through the night.
Staff accommodation is just 50 metres up the hill on the left. There bins are right on the road so you will endure the smell each time you leave and return to the hotel.
