Nestled in the old town it sits just metres away from the beautiful promenade and its popular open-air cafes. It is also within walking distance from the train and bus stations and the busiest streets and areas. Petite, elegant, warm and hospitable, the hotel is housed in the historical building of the old Ottoman post office, which has been carefully renovated and redesigned to enable maximum comfort for its guests. The décor of the venue will immediately astonish it visitors with the charismatic shades of red, green and blue. The double soundproof windows ensure a peaceful and delicate ambience, while the fine handmade carpets dominate the massive wooden floors that are illuminated by unique ceiling lamps. Each accommodation unit features delicate works of art and decorative antiques which only add to the entire atmosphere of elegance and sophistication.
This is a very special hotel. It is beautiful, tasteful and the services are first class. Staff is just in the right amount of friendly and ready to bring you whatever you want, whenever you want it. Front desk pretty much operates as your personal assistant - and a very reliable one, too. They answer all your questions, help with transfers, and they do all that with no pretense. Breakfast is generous and tasty, served in a very pleasent setting. Room service is another excellence. The location is unbeatable if you are focusing on historic Thessaloniki. The Bazaar is amazing! The little restaurants everywhere with good choices and rembetiko singers/players in each corner. We stayed in one bedroom suite. Very very quite, though the hotel is in the plpaza of all action. It was beautiful, decorated very loyally to the building's history, and greatly functional. The elevators and all other facilities are working perfectly. I wont look for another hotel the next time.
This is a beautiful hotel in a great central location in Thessaloniki. I felt like I was transported to another era surrounded by beautiful furnishings and walls with decorative moldings. Customer service is exceptional. The rooms were spacious and very comfortable. The hotel breakfast was great every morning, and they even make eggs to order. It was a true delight to stay here during our visit to Thessaloniki and we will definitely stay here again when we return someday.
Wonderful hotel. The staff is amazing and the rooms are quiet, clean and spacious. Good breakfast to start the day. Perfect location!
Fabulous historic hotel in the heart of the cobblestoned Ladadika in Thessaloniki. Couldn’t recommend this hotel more highly. It was just perfect in every sense.
What an amazing discovery! This was our first visit to beautiful Thessaloniki and this lovely little hotel really was the cherry on the cake. At the end of a long day soaking up all the history and culture it was wonderful to come back to the peaceful coolness of the Bristol and take a shower and a rest in our comfortable room before going out to dinner (and there is a huge choice of eateries in the immediate area to take your pick from). The hotel was once the city post office, built in the 1870s, and has been tastefully converted to retain something of that period. It certainly has a restful atmosphere, and during the whole of our ten day stay here we never heard any extraneous noise (our room overlooked the inner courtyard). The bathroom was large and well equipped, the beds were comfortable, the air conditioning did its job well, and the buffet breakfast - served till 11am - although not varied, was always fresh and generous enough to keep us happy. And I mustn’t forget to praise the hotel staff, who were unobtrusive yet always polite and very helpful when we needed them.
