This beach resort is situated on the west coast of the magnificent Kassandra peninsula, the first of the three beach-fringed peninsulas of Halkidiki. It is close to the glorious and unspoiled beaches of the Sithonia peninsula. The bus station is roughly 9 km from the resort and Thessaloniki 'Macedonia' Airport is about 80 km away. This luxurious low rise hotel, with magnificent views over Mount Olympus and the Aegean, provides guests with an array of amenities. White sand and ancient olive groves adorn the surrounding hills. The magnificently welcoming bungalows, with contemporary design of soothing blue and white colours, provide a private setting with stunning views, while a choice of exciting cuisine ensures a very memorable stay.
This was our first time at Sani and everything about our time there was excellent.
The whole team were really friendly and helpful from start to finish. Something I noticed was a lack of visible management. Nobody needed to be told what to do and there were no complaints to deal with.
The room was fitted to a really high standard. It was immaculate and cleaned thoroughly every day. The whole resort was exceptionally clean and tidy. There are a huge amount of gardens and the gardening team keep it looking fabulous.
Our son loves the beach and this was perfect. Lovely sand where we would keep and eye on him digging and shallow water that felt very safe. There are loads of other activities to keep him occupied. He spent time at the Chelsea Football Academy and Rafa Nadal tennis centre and had an amazing time at both. The only issue was the heat for the first few days but he got used to it. The entertainment at the Garden Theatre and the White Party were also good fun.
We chose Sani because it looked great for both children and adults. The Dine Around option was brilliant to experience different food and atmosphere every day. The food was always at a very high standard.
We met a few families and almost all had been there a number of times before. We were there for 2 weeks and there was still a lot on offer that we didn't have a chance to experience. As you can guess from this review, we'll be back again too.
Best family hotel in the entire world!
We stayed at the resort as a family of five — two adults and three children — and overall, our experience was truly excellent. The hotel gave us many very warm memories, and we felt that the staff genuinely cared about making our stay comfortable, especially considering our children’s dietary requirements.
Transfer
Our experience started very well with the transfer from the airport. Everything was perfectly arranged. The car was comfortable, the children had the necessary booster seats, and cold water was provided for the journey. These small details made a very good first impression, especially after a flight with children.
Check-in
Check-in was also excellent. Everything was handled very quickly and smoothly. The children were offered juices, and we were welcomed with champagne. The process felt relaxed, warm, and very well organized. After traveling, this kind of efficient and friendly welcome is exactly what a family needs.
Room
The room was very good. The hotel has clearly been renovated recently, and everything felt fresh, clean, and modern. We had no complaints about the room at all. The design, cleanliness, and general condition were exactly what we expected from a hotel of this level.
Territory and Resort Layout
The resort territory is very large and beautiful. It is not just one hotel, but a whole complex with many different areas, restaurants, activities, and facilities. There is a lot to explore, and the scale of the resort is impressive.
However, one important downside is transportation within the resort, especially in the evening. For a family of five, it can be quite difficult to move from one part of the resort to another. The buggies often take 15–30 minutes to arrive, and when they do arrive, they are frequently already almost full, with only one or two available seats. As a result, it can be very difficult to travel together with children. This is something the hotel could definitely improve, especially for larger families.
Entertainment
There was entertainment in the theatre almost every evening, which is a nice feature. However, the program felt a little repetitive. Most of the shows were based on singing and dancing in different formats. They were professionally done, but after a few evenings, the concept started to feel similar.
It would be great to see more variety in the evening program — for example, magic shows, acrobatics, comedy, family-friendly theatre, or other non-dance performances. This would make the entertainment program stronger and more diverse.
Restaurants and Food
The restaurants deserve a separate mention, especially Olympus Restaurant, which was outstanding.
The food at Olympus was genuinely excellent. In our opinion, it was better than what we have experienced in many well-known premium hotel brands. The quality, taste, and variety were at a very high level.
One of our sons has coeliac disease and needs a strict gluten-free diet. The team at Olympus handled this extremely well. Sasha was always offered safe gluten-free food, and importantly, he was not simply given one basic option — he was offered a real choice. This made a big difference for us as parents.
We would especially like to thank Nana, the manager at Olympus. She was always extremely attentive, kind, and careful with our family and our children’s needs. Her attitude made us feel truly supported and safe.
We are also very grateful to Mr. Marius and the pastry chef. For our son Nikita’s birthday, we needed a cake that had to meet a very complicated list of dietary restrictions: one child could not have gluten, while the others had restrictions related to fresh dairy products such as milk and butter. Despite all these limitations, the pastry chef created an absolutely incredible birthday cake. It was not only safe for the children, but also beautiful and delicious. The children were delighted. Considering all the restrictions, what the team managed to create was truly impressive.
The waiters were also very polite, attentive, and professional throughout our stay. Overall, Olympus Restaurant deserves a full 10/10 from us.
Staff
The staff throughout the resort were very friendly, kind, and responsive. This was honestly one of the best service experiences we have had. We felt that people were genuinely trying to help, not just formally doing their job. This made the whole stay much more pleasant and relaxing.
Concierge Service
The concierge service is convenient, but it is important to understand what it actually is. It works more like an electronic reception via WhatsApp rather than a personal concierge or butler service. This is still very useful and efficient for many questions and requests, but it is not the same as having a personal butler who follows and manages all details of your stay.
Perhaps a real personal butler service is available in other hotels within the group that have a higher status, but in our case the service was more of a digital guest assistance channel. Still, it was convenient and generally helpful.
Overall Impression
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is beautiful, the rooms are fresh, the service is warm, and the food — especially at Olympus Restaurant — was excellent. The way the team handled our children’s dietary needs deserves special recognition.
There are some areas that could be improved, especially internal resort transportation and more variety in the evening entertainment. But these points did not change the fact that our overall impression was very positive.
We left with very good memories and sincere gratitude to the team.
From arrival to leaving everything was wonderful . The staff are exceptional as is the food , ambiance , beach , pools & room . Special mention to Savas , one of the buggy drivers who even took the time to let me hold onto his arm whilst helping down the steps to our room at night , this was very much appreciated in my senior years , he epitomises 1st customer care & I hope the management recognise this , he is a joy to be around . Joanna in Pines ensured we were looked after extremely well following a minor hiccup &!is warm & lovely. My husband & I spent 3 days alone resting before being joined by family & grandkids ad a surprise for my husbands 70th which was recognised by the hotel beautifully . The kids had plenty to occupy themselves when they got fed up of the adults . The choice of restaurants & the quality of the cuisine is 1st class . Urge you to try Lima which is a fusion of Japanese / Peruvian cuisine. Every mouthful was exquisite . The restaurants & shops in the marina are fabulous & the boats are eye candy . There were several celebrities staying within the various Sani hotels which is testament to the quality of the Sani brand . Every employee is clearly committed to creating a flawless customer experience & from the feedback is treated very well by the management which is important to us . We cannot wait to return as soon as possible . Thank you Sani
