Extremely pleasant friendly hotel
Loving this hotel staying here at present. Room is clean along with bar and pool area Nice little gem if you just want a relaxed atmosphere. Daphne goes above and beyond to make your stay a memorable one. This is a family run hotel and all the family are ever so friendly , they have great knowledge of the area. We have visited some beautiful quaint untouched villages with the advice from Daphne and the family. I would visit again for a relaxing time.
Best Friendly value holiday in years!
Location as is normal in Greece in a very hilly area but with easy access to restaurant and shops and mini markets. About 20 minutes walk to the sea but cardiac hill to walk back :) We are in our 70's and did manage it there and back after swimming in the warm sea. (even at this time of year)
Hotel is ran by a matriarch called Daphne with her family who are so friendly and genuinely treat all guests like part part of their family. There is nothing which is too much trouble for them to deal with, from local advice to personal requests, they are happy to sort out or help with.
Our ground floor apartment which could have slept 4, overlooked the pool and covered restaurant area. Everyday the room was serviced and kept spotlessly clean by the staff. Not the Ritz but really comfortable.
As seasoned travellers, we have stayed at many places which for the same standards have cost much much more.
Noise levels are kept within certain bounds but background music is on all day long until the bar closes unless there are complaints at which point Dino (hope the spelling is correct) the son, will close things down.
As this is a family ran hotel they cater for all ages but when we were there until earlier this week there were mostly oldies, like us, with only a few well behaved young children.
Atmosphere within the hotel and surrounding Villages is friendly much like when we lived in France everyone saying hello, bonjour, or Καλημέρα. Spent several evenings with new friends at the bar passing the time of the day and night.
Even the local villagers were more than friendly when out investigating the local area. They all seemed to accept us holiday interlopers with open arms.
Great bus timetables but not very punctual so be warned, arrive on time but be prepared to wait up to 30 minutes for its arrival, but what the hell it is a holiday, is it not??
All in all, we spent a lovely relaxing week in Kriopigi enjoying some delicious meals both at the Medusa Hotel and local restaurants.
ONLY GRIPE: First 5 days were cold winds and clouds but that is the weather not the fault of the Hotel. We did have wall to wall sunshine for the last two days and still came home with a tan and not burnt :)

A wonderful stay in October
From the moment we arrived, we were made to feel welcome in what was a truly relaxing and enjoyable holiday.
The hotel has a wonderfully relaxed atmosphere, and being a family-run business makes all the difference. Daphine and her family made it feel not like we were staying in a hotel, more like being welcomed into their loving home. The family-oriented approach creates a warm and friendly environment that runs throughout the whole experience. From Daphine’s daughter Elena’s lovely smile first thing in the morning, Dinos excellent barman skills, Yannis helping hands for any problems and lastly Daphine’s irrepressible husband ACHILLEAS always your best friend
Our room was spotlessly clean, with a wonderful shower, and represented very good value for money. The views from the hotel room were stunning, overlooking an area of outstanding natural beauty that made the whole experience even more special.
All the staff deserve a special mention. Nothing was too much trouble, and everyone went out of their way to help with any requests, always offering advice and assistance with a genuine smile.
There are some excellent local restaurants nearby, including Nico’s and the Bistro, both offering stunning food and well worth a visit. The hotel’s swimming pool was also exceptionally clean, with plenty of sunbeds available for relaxing and enjoying the sunshine.
Getting around was easy, too. The hotel arranged local taxis for us, which arrived quickly and were remarkably inexpensive. Thanks to the helpful recommendations and guidance from the staff, we discovered some wonderful places to visit in the surrounding area.
All in all, this was a wonderfully relaxing holiday in a truly beautiful part of the world. The friendly atmosphere, excellent service, cleanliness and outstanding value for money made it a holiday to remember.
We would have absolutely no hesitation in recommending this hotel to anyone looking for a relaxing break in beautiful surroundings. We would certainly be delighted to return!

Super friendly hotel with great atmosphere
I absolutely loved my short visit here. I came here with a friend for just a couple of days off just to relax and enjoy Greek in the end of summer. All of the working staff was so nice to us and gave us everything we needed. The atmosphere was so welcoming and friendly. I would definitely go back here and stay for a longer time and I miss all of the people so much.

We arrived 2.15pm, Daphne said check in was 3pm, so we went to town for water, milk etc. At 3.40pm Daphne took the 35 euro tourist tax and showed us to room 52. This room is a few metres from reception, the lift and the stairs, so unfortunately we heard all the noise from people coming and going at all hours of the day. I had e mailed the hotel privately asking for an upper floor room poolside, but got no reply. I appreciate requests are not always possible. Our room had a view of a road and across to a neighbour who liked to shout a lot and had the obligatory barking dog. The saving grace of the hotel, is the pool area, with plenty sunbeds. Also the bar area was fine, where we had some good company and chats with the Welsh and English couples we met there. Change of towels only on day 4, of 7 day stay, also not ideal.
