This recently renovated resort complex comprises 4 annexe buildings and is surrounded by gently rolling hills from one side and the Aegean Sea on the other. Sitting at less than a kilometre from the sandy beach in the peaceful countryside it is ideal for a relaxed family vacation. It is located at 3 km from the town of Pefkochori and 6 km from the picturesque village of Paliouri, at the southern end of the Kassandra peninsula of Chalkidiki. Guests that enjoy minimum cluttering of furniture will appreciate the minimalistic decoration of the rooms and their airy atmosphere. They include all the required facilities, such as a well-equipped kitchen, fridge, comfortable beds and a nice balcony or terrace, but there is plenty of space too. Guests that enjoy sports will be spoiled for choice, besides the swimming pool there is also a fully-equipped gym.

The worst hotel ever
Our stay at Xenios Port Marina Hotel in Halkidiki was a complete nightmare. The room was dirty, extremely noisy, and most importantly, completely unsafe for a child. We were unexpectedly placed on the ground/basement floor (as we noticed special area for all not Greek families) where the room opens directly to a staircase leading straight to the pool. There are absolutely no safety barriers, railings, or gates from the room side, meaning a child can run out into the deep pool area in a second.To make matters worse, there was a disgusting, constant smell of sewage inside the room and not hygiene sanitary tools. Also we had broken glass window within entire stay with sharp glass edges… It is a complete sanitation and safety hazard. When we filed an official complaint, the management flatly refused to relocate us, claiming the hotel was fully booked. Instead of fixing these severe safety and plumbing issues, they tried to profit out of our misery by offering a paid All-Inclusive upgrade with a "discount"! The management doesn't care about child safety or hospitality once they get your money. Do not risk your family's safety, choose another hotel!
Not a good experience
Ok, ok. Im not going to knock the complex but arrive early hours in the morning due to Jet2 problems but still paid the 5 euro tax for a night we wasn't there. Rooms are very bland. Clean but not as described. Don't get fooled..... No drinking water in the fridge upon arrival. Had to ask for cups of water at reception. No tea/coffee making making facilities when you first wake up so have to wait for the restaurant to open. Out of the 5 kitchen cupboards and one full set of drawers there was not one item of cutlery / plates around. TV is not multi lingual and very limited maybe 2 english speaking channels. The complex is nice with a nice pool but getting bar snacks... well forget that. No evening entertainment either so you have to travel to pefkohori for a nice night out. In my opinion dont waste your money.

Need to revise a few things
We arrived early hours of the morning and when we got to our room there was 2 lovely salads in the fridge but no bottled water which to me is standard (luckily we still had a small amount of water left over from our journey as even if we were to drink the local water there wasn't a cup or glass in sight) the fridge was really noisy but that was rectified the next morning. Can't fault the cleanliness and the bar staff were all lovely. The food was a bit hit and miss but there was always something there to eat. The dining room filled up at times rather quickly as all the tables were for 4 people so would benefit to do tables for 2 as there were alot of couples. The pool is lovely and no shortage of sunbeds however there are quite a few steps and no handrails. Both of the beaches were lovely you have to have a drink and something to eat but not overly expensive. There was no entertainment other than music behind the bar which we couldn't really hear.
A lovely relaxing holiday, very quiet, but very much enjoyed
Lovely friendly hotel, beautiful pool, very relaxed atmosphere, staff were very welcoming, and friendly, the hotel is a fair way from the town, but a minibus, which is completely free of charge, leaves regularly for the town, and also the beach, we walked to the beach most of the time, which was about a ten minute stroll On the whole could not fault the hotel, and we really did have a lovely stay
Not a great experience
After a 3 hour transfer from the airport (not 90 mins as advertised), we were shown to our room. Unfortunately, I had to go straight back to reception to request an alternative room as the first one smelt so badly of damp. We were moved to the room next door, which smelt better, but very basic and in need of repair work and updating. No tea or coffee making facilities in the room, which I've never come across before. All drinks, hot or cold, are served in plastic or paper cups, even in the restaurant. These are then just thrown away, not even recycled. Absolutely not environmentally friendly! The only drinks on our All Inclusive package were local beer and wine, Ouzo and brandy. We weren't allowed even gin or vodka. Apparently this is reserved for 'Ultra All Inclusive' customers. Not something that EasyJet make you aware of. Buffet options were basic and repetative - thank goodness for the free minibus that goes into town, where there were many great restaurants to choose from. The best thing that I can say about the hotel is that the staff are lovely and very helpful. I would class this as a 2 star property at best, certainly not 3 star by any stretch of the imagination.
