This hotel and bungalow complex located in Stalis (Crete) offers its guests a unique brand of warmth, hospitality and friendship. The place has 127 double and family rooms in different buildings and it lies only 200 metres away from a beautiful sandy beach and is very convenient for the entertainment and shopping centre in the village itself. There are several swimming pools (also 2 for children) in the grounds and other on-site amenities include a gymnasium and a hot tub. Guests can enjoy themselves playing billiards and table tennis. Other organised activities include bingo and quizzes. The main restaurant offers Greek and international cuisine, and can organise lunch baskets on request, and 3 bars serve coffee, cocktails, etc., the main bar until late. All rooms and bungalows have individually-controlled air-conditioning/heating and a furnished balcony or terrace, etc.

Great Time - Needs a Facelift
I’m giving it 4 out of 5 as we had such a good time staying at the hotels and the kids made some great friends but it’s probably only a 3 out of 5. Some of the rooms have been updated and some not, so it’s a lucky dip. We asked to move on the first day as the family room that we booked, looked nothing like the picture. They moved us to a better/larger room close to the kids pool.
I guess the reviews depend on whether you are staying with kids or adults only. The adult pool is great with cocktails being served, cakes and snacks throughout the day, comfy sun beds available. Whereas the kids pool is the polar opposite. No cocktails, moody staff, repetitive biscuits (probably the left overs from the adult pool) un-comfy sun loungers and watered down beer. Not quite fair as the families are probably spending more money staying here than couples but not quite getting the same experience.
The food isn’t too bad for an all-inclusive. It does get repetitive as they all do, so we ate out quite a few nights. The location isn’t too bad either. It’s a 5 minute walk to the beach and the strip (via the underpass on the road) The 2 lads in the animation team work hard with limited recourses but their routine is repetitive, same routine at the mini club, same water polo every day etc… just needs changing up a bit.
It’s a good hotel but just needs a bit of a face lift and money spending on it. The ping pong table is knackered and unplayable, the cues for the pool table have no ends on them, the speaker for the animation team kept cutting out, the kids club is a tired old shed that no kids want to go in, the sun loungers have seen better days… etc.
If you’re booking or have booked you will have a great time at the hotel and Stalis is lovely but for me the hotel just needs a bit of an up lift.

We took the massage. It was very nice! After I felt very relaxed and normally I have troubles to get relaxed. So very good experience!
Massage and spa experience
Had the most amazing massage by Christina. Highly recommend treating yourself to a treatment at the spa. I had a 40 minute back massage but could have spent the whole day laying there!
Magical holiday ♥
I booked this holiday only 3 weeks before and read the reviews afterwards and tbh I was a little stressed reading about the food and some of the other negative remarks regarding staff and entertainment. But, as soon as we arrived we were treated like long lost friends, our room was beautiful with comfy beds and too comfy pillows ( wish I could take my pillow home 😂) , a powerful shower ,nice and cool ( no charge) air conditioning and ample hangers to hangs clothes up, gave up on the tv as mainly only news channels for English guests but obs we wernt there for watching TV so it's irrelevant really ,but thought I'd mention.
George and his team in the restaurant were super lovely and greeted us at every meal with a warm welcome and a bit of fun banter ♥. My son knew we were going to be trying new foods here and boy he sure tried lots from the mahoosive selection of dishes, when he wanted 'normal ' food he ate from the pizza and pasta station and I was quite impressed that he never once went for the chips ( a sign to me that he hated the other options😉) ,I enjoyed bobbing a little bit of most of the dishes on my plate,if there were somthing we wernt keen on, George was quite discreet at removing the plate without fuss, and if still hungry we bobbed back to chose a little more and again there were no raised eyebrows from the staff ! Pudding selection is immense and the Greek yoghurt and balaklava is to die for ,so do leave room for this section after your main meal as its such a treat to fill a little plate of most things 🐽 ☺️ The kids pool area is fantastic,my lads 14 and was quite shy sat with me as there were lots of young uns, but when the pool entertainment lads come down and get everyone in the pool for water ball games, they encouraged my lad to join in and he's joined in everyday, he's in there now as I'm writing this as we go home in a few hours ! These pool lads are a credit to the hotel and I thank them wholeheartedly fir encouraging my lad to join in and enjoy his holiday more !
In the evenings after tea we sat and drank in the hotel bar ,sitting outside in the lovely courtyard,the beer,wine and soft drinks were splendid so don't listen to folk saying they are terrible, also the chap behind the bar was a busy lad but friendly and chatty and serves super quick so again , just enjoy the banter he throws out when waiting in line as it's AI and obs lots of folk lining up for drinks !
My only negative is that as soon as we got in our room we lost our WiFi connection, but again this wasn't a real issue as we generally went straight to sleep , but it's not the hotels fault I've not splashed out on better Internet with my phone company !
A great stay had by the both of us and we will definitely return !
