Perfekt holiday
Hello, we were at the hotel from September 11 to September 23. Great holiday, I can only recommend. I read a lot of negative reviews here before leaving. We went with our two-year-old son. I was afraid to go. People here complained about the rooms, food, terrible beach, dirty dishes, not good food. We arrived and I have to say everything was great! The room is beautiful, the sea the first 2 days big waves, stones, then small waves, great for fooling around and you could go into the sea without shoes, it was gradual and sand. The staff was great for us, they took great care of us in the restaurant, they always seat you at the table, they treated the little one great! Nice service on the beach and at the pool. Drinks good, the selection was enough for me. The food could be chosen differently every day.. The hotel is not in the center, but on the side, so if you expect city traffic, go elsewhere. 2 mini markets and a restaurant, which we also visited even though we had all inclusive, were enough for us, because we went to relax. There are stairs, but you can get everywhere by elevator. I would return to the hotel again.
Not great, not awful
Very nice beach. Plenty of beautiful cabanas. You can order food which was yummy but the drinks were not. Overpriced and some of our drinks tasted like no alcohol was in them; we had to tell the waiter and he was very nice about it. The music is way too loud. I’m not sure I would consider this place good for very young kids. We brought our 3 year old with us. The water in the pool looked unclean at times. It’s a big place and was very crowded when we were there.
No way a 5 star
First of all not a 5 star , 3 at best , rooms dirty , not well maintained.we had a 2 bedroom family suit !! It was 1 room with a glass divider down the middle, and definitely not a suite, it’s so they can charge you €70 as soon as you turned up.Entertainment from animation team only in French not interested in any other language, and what I could tell worst animation team I’ve ever seen , 3 bars with only one bar staff who are very slow , always a long queue, Food same rubbish each night most of it was lukewarm at best , nothing like the pictures , In all a miss sold holiday for loveholidays . And a hotel that’s over charging for something they can’t deliver, but happy to take your money with nothing in return. To be honest the only positive about this hotel is the air conditioner in your room ( because the main hotel air con is off) was really good , and the 2 gentlemen that show to your table at meal time were brilliant, shame that’s it !!! Save your money and go somewhere else
Great place to stay
Spend 1 week with my 2 grandchildren (11 + 14), and we had a really great stay.
Our room was nice with everything we could need on a All Inclusive stay. Great view over the sea. Breakfast, lunch and dinner was perfect for us - and that also goes for the snack bar at the waterpark area. Really nice and gentle staff all over.
We also had a lot of fun with all the activities by the great animation team from Club Lookéa. They also had very funny and professional shows in the evening. A special thanks to Malou, Mattheu and Ola - you all did a great job.
You get a lot of clap-clap-clap-clap from all of us :-)
Rethymno Mare Royal is closer to the sea.
Rethymno Mare Royal. I can recommend this hotel. It was the best hotel I've ever stayed at on vacation. The receptionists were great! The restaurant staff were perfect. The two brothers at the Artemis bar were great! Breakfast, lunch, and dinner at Apollon were excellent. A large selection of delicious dishes. Everything was spotlessly clean. No crowds or noise. Everything was tidy and clean. The rooms were spacious. My only regret is that I didn't remember the names of the hotel staff. I can't thank them by name. I can only thank Rahoul by name :-)
