The picturesque natural harbour of Sissi, is less than 100 meters from the hotel. The tourist resorts of Hersonissos and Malia with their archaeological sites are to the west of the hotel, while to the east guests will find another popular resort, Agios Nikolaos. The establishment consists of 9 traditional buildings scattered across beautifully manicured gardens. In this wonderful setting of green lawns accented by picturesque arrangements of shrubbery, guests can enjoy all the beauties of nature. Visitors can take a refreshing dip in the large outdoor pool, surrounded by lounge chairs ready to welcome sunbathers. After a day of aquatic fun, guests can enjoy a night of lively entertainment. A fantastic holiday!
We stayed for 14 nights in September and had a fabulous holiday! We were in room 710 overlooking the smaller pool. Breakfast and dinner were great - the staff very attentive. Sissi has a beautiful harbour just a few minutes walk from the Maritimo and if you go right across to the other side of the harbour (10 mins walk) there are lovely bars/restaurants. We went to The Cactus Pub a few times and watched the amazing sunset 🌅 from there. We also went to local bars (Peggy Gordon’s, Juniper, Anixi) all just 5 mins walk away. I also had a great manicure and pedicure from Muse - (next to Peggy Gordon’s) - the young lady in there did a fabulous job! The Maritimo’s Spa is lovely (Sofia and Vicky) and my husband had a great massage there. The only negative I can find at all is that there is no rail at all to aid getting into the smaller, quieter pool, which is such a shame if you have any mobility issues at all. We had to go across to the bigger pool if we wanted a dip! The beach in front of the hotel is all rocks but is amazing to watch. People do swim in the harbour though and I believe there are sandy beaches nearby. We also went on George’s Fun Train which was great. All in all, the Maritimo Beach Hotel and Sissi gave us a great holiday.

Highly recommend. Will visit again
This was our second time at Maritimo and it was just as wonderful as we remembered from our previous visit in 2023. The hotel is located on the quieter side of Sissi Harbour/Bay but it is easily walkable (or swimmable) to the other side and this is one of the things we love about it. It’s right near the harbour so you can walk down for a quick swim. The hotel itself is beautiful. There were three of us, me, my husband and our 23 yo daughter so we had two rooms. Our daughter was in a room that had been updated and I think they’re working through the complex to update them. Ours was a little less modern but still a lovely room. The shower pressure was amazing, I’ve stayed in some hotels where it’s so weak but it was great. Our room was located near the road at the back of the hotel so there was some noise but overly so. We stayed half board, and the food didn’t disappoint. The breakfast has incredible choice and they change up the dinner menu each night. It is mainly help yourself but they do have an option some evenings where the chef serves it. The gyros were incredible. Georgia and staff in the dining room are all so friendly and helpful. We are at the pool bar some lunchtimes and the food is so good and reasonably priced. Always serves with a smile by Athena too. Some evenings they have entertainment in the hotel bar/lobby, which is a nice area to just sit and relax, listen to music, play cards etc. The entertainment was well received, we saw the sax player, the pianist with a singer and a Greek dancing evening. All very enjoyable. All of the staff at the hotel are friendly, welcoming and helpful and are one of the main reason we returned and will return again. Highly recommend.
Lovely hotel
Just back from a 10 day holiday from Sissi and staying in the Maritimo Beach hotel. Hotel is lovely, very clean, beautiful setting, food was great! As a family of 4 with 2 teens I would say the only negative is there really isn't anything for kids at all. There is no animation team so no activities offered during the day, no pool table or table tennis etc. Evening entertainment is only a couple of days a week and there was one night advertising wine tasting which we were looking forward to and didnt even happen! Its more an adult only hotel than a family hotel but still a lovely place to visit.

Good value.
We have spent 10 days at Maritimo Beach. Staff are pleasant. Our room was comfortable and clean. We were on a half board basis but chose to eat out most nights. Food was fairly basic but a good choice was available. Rooms were cleaned every day but there was always something missing (coffee/towels/cups/toilet rolls). Not a problem, just ask at reception and they can oblige. Just couldn’t work out why these things were not replaced by the cleaner. The grounds are lovely and well kept. It was fairly quiet during our stay so plenty of quiet spots and more than enough sun beds. Supermarkets, shops,bars,restaurants are a few minutes walk away with more by the harbour another 5 minutes away. We enjoyed the food everywhere we went (eating somewhere different each time) and particularly liked a drink at the Cactus pub. FYI. There is no safe in the room. I think there is a €23 charge for one at reception. We didn’t bother but it did mean we were constantly carrying our passports etc. You pay €7 for a beach towel and it can be changed regularly at no extra cost. There is a tourist tax to pay (€5pppn?) There is a beach 20 minutes away. If you visit at the end of the season the restaurants/bars are not very happy if you pay by card. They want cash. We wouldn’t recommend the “Happy train” we found the man quite arrogant. Sissi is a lovely little resort and easily accessible from this hotel. . Plenty of choice for food and drink but all very low key. I don’t think there was much entertainment in the hotel itself but we enjoyed a stroll out every night/day and were entertained by everything that Sissi offered, including beautiful sunsets and the excitement of the locals when it rained. Would visit again.

Solo and safe
I really enjoyed my stay at the Maritimo, I felt safe and the staff were more than inviting whilst being discreet. I would firstly like to make a mention to the young man on the front desk when I arrived, he made me so welcome and was very informative. He helped me with my bags to my room (I havent experience this kind of service in years and is just what you want when yoi have been travelling for hours and tired) and also showed me where my room was again when I couldnt find it on first day, thankfully I soon got my bearings. My second shout out is to Katerina who served in the dining room. She was so lovely, always had a smile for everyone and was attentive when needed, very proffessional whilst always being friendly, I really felt that she enjoyed her job unlike a few of the other staff. The hotel was spotless and my room was always cleaned, the domestic staff were very hard working and always asked if I needed anything. I loved the situation of the hotel, just a short walk away from the harbour and shops, always something to do if you wanted a more active holiday. I was sad to leave and come back home. Hopefully I will return one day☺️
