Great location. TERRIBLE BED.
Great location, and nice enough resort.
The bed was like sleeping on the concrete floor. Threw my back out - causing us to miss our tickets for the Knossos Palace.
My daughter was given the worst cot ever, and ended up actually sleeping on the floor.
Ugh. Ruined everything.

Lovely boutique hotel
We were thoroughly spoilt at Dyo Suites for a week - lovely boutique hotel & fabulous staff who made us feel welcome. We stayed in the executive suite, which had a fantastic view. As we were celebrating our anniversary, they had even decorated the room & left us a bottle of bubbly! The room was lovely, though could do with a lick of paint/tlc - and what we didn't realise until we arrived was that there's only a glass wall between the shower and the bedroom, i.e. no privacy when showering. Even as a couple, that's a bit weird as we both appreciate being able to shower in privacy. It was great to be so close to the beach, where we spent most of our days - just across the street from the hotel! Absolutely recommended hotel & did not want to leave!
We loved:
- the hotel breakfast - amazing!
- the views from our room - direct seaviews
- being so close to the beach, which was lovely. Brilliant service on the beach too!
- the rooftop jacuzzi
- the staff & how well we were looked after
- the grounds - beautiful little oasis
- the distance from the town - a 20 min walk, meaning more peace & quiet + we had a good walk every day along the paved promenade
- Rethymno town. Lovely place! So many good restaurants in town. Apart from the hotel restaurant, avoid the restaurants nearby - the ones in town are much better and authentic.
What could have been better:
- the suites need a little tlc. There had obviously been a water leak inside the wooden sink at some point, leaving the cupboards damaged & stained. Lots of instances where damaged walls etc had been painted over, poorly. The jacuzzi was a bit tired.
- the above-mentioned privacy. That was a bit awkward!
- there's a very strong perfumey scent in the hotel, which was a bit too much. Managed to air our the room quite quickly tho.

Amazing night!
One of my best nights,amazing boutique hotel with astonishing view,helpful stuff and the food at the restaurant was delicious,the breakfast was also very tasty and with a lot of solutions,the beach was exactly 10 steps from your room.Iam going to visit it again!

Great hotel
Hi everyone, This is a great hotel!! The team here is amazing and great service. The Rooms are very clean, beautiful and have a great view of the ocean which is right across the street from the hotel. We came for our anniversary and it was such a nice and romantic place to get away. It is in a Quiet area in rethymno but right a toss from the beach and ten minute walk into the old city. Highley recommended
Amazing holiday exceeding all expectations!
Dyo were very easy and pleasant to communicate with from the very start. I enquired about booking prior to their rates being available for Summer 2025 and they advised me via email as soon as booking was possible.
I planned this holiday for my engagement, including additional guests joining us in the middle of our stay. This involved a change of rooms when they joined us. All the staff at Dyo were perfect and helped massively with the change in rooms, even making me aware of new rooms becoming available and offering the option of an upgrade before they became open for booking (which we did opt to do)! Also, they were very cooperative with assisting in the surprises, not revealing the engagement to our guests and not revealing the change in room or surprise guests to my partner.
This was an amazing holiday in a beautiful location, improved even more so by the staff and impressive accommodation.
