Nice enough hotel, the breakfast and dinner buffet had lots of variety and there is something for everyone. There are no drinks included in the dinner, so you have to purchase on the night. The prices for drinks are a little steep. The pool is not heated and is a little too cold in October. The weather was not great when we visited and swimming in the sea was not possible due to high waves and currents. The room had everything we needed (Kettle, fridge), just a little small and the view was not great. Looking at all rooms, most are facing buildings or bushes. The beds are comfortable. The cleaners coming every day, but we did not find this to be necessary. The bar and entertainment (on some nights) is outside and as it was a little colder than expected. It be would have been nice to offer an indoor options. There was not atmosphere, but this could be due to the time of the year. If you hire a car, be aware that there is very limited parking. We parked at the sea front or at the car rental company 10 minutes walk away. The promenade is great for walkers and it took us (slow walkers) around 45 minutes to get into Rethymnon town center. Rethymnon is worth a visit, but it is a little smelly with car fumes and drains. The staff was very friendly and attentive and everyone was really happy to help.
We arrived at the hotel to be greeted by a really friendly receptionist. She took us to our room and everything was all good. After a couple of hours, our air conditioning stopped working and there was a problem with the toilet. We reported this to receptionist who was very apologetic and moved us to another room straight away. Fortunately for us it was a room upgrade so we were very happy.
The staff here work tirelessly and are always polite and happy. Nothing was too much if you needed help.
The food I have to say was amazing everyday. Fresh, hot, plenty of choice and a great selection on an evening. I was well Impressed with the Shin of Beef.
The location is great. You come out of the hotel, turn left and within a minute, you're at the beautiful beach. The sunbeds are free but you do have to buy a couple of drinks at least from the bars to het them free. It's waiter service so was nice not to have to move much.
Overall, we genuinely loved our stay and have already started to look at next year to come back here.
Although the hotel has four stars, it is more on the level of a two or three star hotel. The hotel is quite old and shabby, the rooms are small and ours was quite dirty. It hadn't been painted for a few years and the bathroom tiles hadn't been cleaned.
The rooms do not meet the four-star standard. They are very small and only have small balconies or terraces. The walls are unpainted, there are mosquito stains and the bathroom smells of garbage.
The food was good and the menu was quite extensive. It's very close to the beach, but without a good view. There are plenty of better four star hotels in the area.
Hi, If you think which place to stay in Crete, you can choose this one. Because it’s:
I recently stayed here with family and had an awesome time. The location was perfect, just a quick walk to the beach . The buffet breakfast and dinner were both delicious. Every other night, they had some entertainment, which was a nice bonus. The rooms were cleaned daily. Overall, it was a super relaxing and enjoyable stay, and I’d definitely recommend it.
