Archipelagos is a modern city hotel in Rethymnon of Crete. It is built ampitheatrically on an area of 3 acres with a panoramic view of the endless blue of the Cretan Sea and the Venetian castle (Fortezza). The philosophy of Archipelagos is an accommodation with human warmth from the owners and hotel staff, combined with excellent modern standards and facilities . In Archipelagos you will not feel foreign in a foreign country. You will find friends that will care for you and will try their best to make your holiday an unforgettable experience.Totally renovated during winter2019-20 with 4* standards
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
An excellent hotel with very spacious rooms. The hotel is situated on a hillside with 3 separate lifts. The hotel has a small beach directly in front over the road which is really nice.
Stayed in Rethymon many times and was ecpecting this hotel to be fairly central but it was a bus ride away. That wasnt too much of a problem as wedont mind the travel and the buses were frequent. The hotel has a really nice lady on the front desk which was very helpful. The hotel seems to be ran with a skeleton staff. The breakfast staff on the morning were hopless and dont even bother going as the breakfast was minimium and of poor quality, the coffee was awful. We went twice only and never after that. The room was ok however the shower was tiny. The holiday was pricey and you can get much better deals cheaper in a better location and food you look forward to. Unfortunately we would never go back to this hotel.
This hotel is in a great location, a short walk to Old town. There is a nice beach just across the road. The room had a small fridge, kettle and coffee maker. Our room and the common places were very clean, including the pool area. We had a great view from the seventh floor. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast offers many choices. I highly recommend this hotel.
Not sure quite what to say. Not a lot wrong but a lot to improve. Not 4 star by any stretch! We arrived having booked a one bedroom apartment with separate lounge. We carted our luggage up to the 9th floor to be greeted with a poky studio with a grubby kitchenette and what can only be described as a building site across the way.
We were made to feel like an inconvenience when we questioned the room. We were then quickly shown a one bedroom apartment that was better but still far from perfect.
The good things. Comfy bed, decent shower and clean linen every day.
Bad points no mirrors anywhere except the bathroom. Poorly equipped kitchenette. Not a drop of drinking water in the room ! Shower didn’t seem to have been cleaned the whole time we were there !
There are laminated signs all over the place setting out ‘rules’ (Alex Polizzi would have a field day) the breakfast isn’t bad but it’s like a works canteen. No greeting just cleaners wiping tables Pool area ok but pool bar closes early and no opportunity to have a sundowner or drink on the evening and it’s also closed one day a week
We stayed next door in the Macaris last year. Much better more spacious apartments. Fruit, water and wine on arrival. Fully equipped kitchens right down to cleaning materials and ground coffee. Better, more comfortable pool area. Much superior and more welcoming hotel.
We had an amazing stay at Hotel Archipelagos! Everything exceeded our expectations. The room was spacious, spotless, and cleaned every single day, which made our stay even more comfortable. The food was delicious, with a great variety of fresh and tasty options every day.
A special thank you to the manager, who was incredibly kind, professional, and helpful throughout our stay. He went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect and assisted us whenever we needed anything. His hospitality truly made a difference.
The entire staff was friendly and welcoming, and the atmosphere of the hotel was relaxing and enjoyable. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would definitely recommend Hotel Archipelagos to anyone looking for a wonderful holiday.
