Will not be returning to Greece
I travelled to Alianthos this past summer and had an interesting experience. I will list the pro's and con's of the trip below.
Pros:
- Newly renovated rooms
- Newer gym
- Good homemade lemonade
Cons:
- I was downgraded on the 1st night from a Jacuzzi room to a Basic Room and the management provided a contract stating no complaints or mention of this this was permitted upon signing
- Housekeeping entered our room despite a do-not-disturb sign, and we were told, management requires entry/cleaning every third day. After checking out, I realized a pair of diamond earrings was missing from the room. I can’t say when, and I have reported it.
- Multiple fixtures in the room did not work properly or were broken (including the jacuzzi which took 1 day to heat up)
- The restaurant has been converted from a small hotel to a resort therefore the dining area is not suited for the new capacity of people
- The hotel is not located directly across the street from the beach as I had originally thought, the cabana's are roughly a 10-minute walk away
- Upon arrival you will be provided with a "welcome meeting" with, the Sales Manager, to purchase outdoor packages
- There is construction daily between 9am to 6pm that can be heard from the rooms

Pure perfection in Plakias
We had a wonderful stay at Alianthos Estate Resort in Plakias. From top to bottom, this resort exceeded our expectations.
The rooms are remarkably clean, comfortable, and well-equipped with everything you could possibly need. We especially appreciated the generous touch of having high-quality shower gel, shampoo, and body conditioner continuously replenished, alongside a coffee machine stocked with unlimited, great-quality coffee capsules.
Breakfast was fantastic—a rich, high-quality buffet spread with plenty of delicious options. The free Greek coffee station was a delightful highlight that added a genuine local touch to our mornings.
Beyond the amenities, the facilities are top-notch. The two pool areas are beautiful and relaxing, and the complimentary beach sunbeds are extremely comfortable. What truly sets this place apart, though, is the staff. Everyone was incredibly kind, welcoming, and always smiling, making us feel genuinely cared for throughout our stay. Highly recommended!

Great hotel. Staff is very friendly. Rooms are very nice and clean. Close to the beach and a beautiful location. 100% recommended.

A family run complex which never fails.
Have been coming here for the past 30 years. It is a fantastic place to visit. From the extreme comfort, to the fantastic food and overwhelmingly friendly and professional staff.

Late summer break on Cretan paradise
The transition from Alianthos Garden to Alianthos Estate is speeding on. Not just a name change, but an amalgam of modern and traditional family values. Newly opened intimate suites, private frontages and a fantastic pool. All within waking distance if the beach.
