Last minute decision that just played out perfectly!
We had the pleasure of staying at this lovely hotel, which gave us wonderful zen vibes and had us in holiday mode from the moment we arrived.
What truly made our stay special, however, was the exceptional quality of the staff. A special mention must go to Shula, Elena, Victoria and Jania, who consistently provided such a high standard of service at breakfast and dinner.
They could not have been more warm, welcoming and accommodating. It was genuinely a pleasure to see them each morning and evening, and their friendly service made our stay even more enjoyable.
We absolutely loved our time here and are already planning our return!
Amazing Experience
We had a wonderful experience at this hotel!
The hotel is on the beach and days are serenely quiet. Lying on the sun-beds, you can hear the sound of waves gently (and sometimes not so gently) crashing against the pebbly shore. The entrance to the sea is pebbly so bring sea shoes for a smoother entrance or you can walk 100m down the shore where there is a pier to enter the sea.
The team is absolutely lovely. Shout out to the girls at the reception - both the morning and afternoon shifts - as well as to Antonis at the à la restaurant. They made our stay truly memorable with their genuine Greek hospitality.
The overall vibe of the hotel was extremely relaxing and we would love to return someday soon.
Honeymoon
We stayed here for our honeymoon and the hotel was beautiful, location was good if you hired a car there's a couple of villages about a 5-10 minute drive away with family run tavernas, beaches and lake kournas which was great. Also Rethymno was only a 20 minute drive away.
It was a very chilled atmosphere and very clean. All the staff members were so friendly, accommodating and happy to help!
We had a room with a private pool which was lovely but quite cold, more of a plunge pool. The main pool was nice but is lined with stone rather than tiles. The bed service around the pool was really nice being able to order food and drinks whilst you lounge. The beach area was good but maybe a ramp or proper stairs across the rocks to enter the sea would be a good idea as it was a bit of a struggle.
Breakfast was buffet style with various items on offer which we enjoyed, lunch by the pool was lovely, dinner we didn't love. But the desserts and cocktails were divine.
It is adults only so very quiet which we did get quite bored of and found ourselves going out a lot to entertain ourselves throughout the day and night.

The room is really comfortable , you can relax in this atmosphere. Nice therapeutist which had treat all my muscles.

The hotel is beautiful, with a truly stunning sea view. The staff are incredibly friendly, helpful, and attentive, and we received such a warm welcome from the moment we arrived.
The massage was also amazing! A very special thank you to Rita for such a wonderful and relaxing experience. She was fantastic! 🙏💆♀️
Overall, a beautiful hotel, excellent service, and a memorable experience. I highly recommend Kimpton La Mer and would happily come back!
