The beach is the heart of this resort, and that is down to Vasilis and his team. From the first morning he greeted us by name, remembered exactly where we liked to sit, and made sure the sunbeds, umbrellas and towels were ready before we even asked. Nothing was ever a problem, and everything was handled with a smile and a level of care you rarely find. His team works with the same energy — attentive without ever being intrusive.
The restaurants deserve their own praise. Excellent quality across the board, generous variety, fresh Cretan flavours, and staff who genuinely look after you. Every meal felt like an occasion.
Reception set the tone from the moment we arrived: warm, professional, efficient, and always available for any request. Check-in and check-out were seamless.

Great stay
The décor was lovely. The food was fabulous. Pool area very nice and sunbeds the most comfortable ever. Rooms very nice with a great view. Only area they were lacking in was clothes storage for 4 of us. The staff are a credit to the hotel. The staff that greet and seat at breakfast and dinner were delightful.

14 nights at the Royal Senses
We have just returned from 14 amazing nights at Royal Senses in Crete, staying on a half-board basis, and we honestly couldn’t have asked for a better holiday.
From the moment we arrived, we knew we had chosen somewhere special. The resort is absolutely beautiful, with stunning views, beautiful surroundings and a real feeling of luxury throughout. There is so much attention to detail, and everything is exceptionally well maintained.
But what really makes Royal Senses stand out is the people.
A very special thank you to Myrto, the Guest Relations Manager. From the very beginning, Myrto was absolutely incredible. She answered every email and every message we sent and was so attentive to every single detail of our holiday. Nothing ever seemed too much trouble, and she genuinely went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect for us.
Royal Senses should be extremely proud to have someone like Myrto on their team. She is a real credit to the hotel and made such a difference to our experience. ❤️
We also have to mention the two lovely ladies who worked at the lobby bar. We are so sorry that we have forgotten their names, but they served us practically every evening and were always so friendly, welcoming and lovely to chat to. They really made us feel at home and were another example of the fantastic people who work at Royal Senses.
We stayed half board for 14 nights, which gave us plenty of opportunity to enjoy the restaurants and food at the resort. We also loved getting out and exploring the local area, particularly Panormos, the beautiful nearby village. We enjoyed some lovely meals there and it was great to experience a little of the local Greek atmosphere.
One of the absolute highlights of our holiday was Dusk in Paramos. Without a doubt, this was the best meal we had all holiday! We had prawns, sushi, lamb chops and octopus and every single dish was outstanding. The food was incredible, the staff were fantastic and the setting, right beside the sea in the beautiful cove, was simply breathtaking.
And then came the icing on the cake…
For the last three nights of our holiday, we upgraded to a Royal Senses Villa — and WOW!
Our villa was two storeys with our own private pool, and it was absolutely amazing. Having our own private pool and space was such a special experience and the villa was beautiful, luxurious and incredibly comfortable.
Those final three days were the perfect way to finish our holiday. We spent time relaxing around our own pool, enjoying the incredible surroundings and making the most of the villa. We honestly didn’t want to leave!
One thing worth mentioning for anyone considering booking is that drinks are on the more expensive side, but you have to remember that you are staying in a 5-star luxury resort. For us, it was completely understandable. If keeping the cost of drinks down is a priority, then booking a B&B option rather than half board may give you more flexibility to enjoy some of the fantastic local restaurants and bars in Panormos.
Overall, Royal Senses gave us an absolutely incredible 14-night holiday. The beautiful resort, stunning location, amazing food, wonderful staff and the unforgettable villa experience all came together to make this one of our favourite holidays.
We came home with so many amazing memories and genuinely didn’t want to leave.
A huge thank you to Myrto, the amazing lobby bar ladies, and every single member of the Royal Senses team who made our stay so special.

Overall experience was fantastic, we had a lovely time and all of the staff were so attentive, especially the restaurant staff and in particular Visalias! Would highly recommend!
