Noisy, dated and dull as chuff
The staff make this place bearable. Room dated but kept spotless. Food plentiful but samey and not that tasty. Silver band customers in Solimar Ruby get poor quality wine and spirits so not able to get drunk unless went out for a meal which we did 50% of our 10 days or pay for quality drinks - wine in a naff thick plastic cup where the smell hits you first is a big no. The Strip is very near and the music starts at midnight till 5am so had to shut doors to keep sound down. Noisy hotel residents came home and woke us up three times at 5am. Gold band residents Ruby Plus have their own half of the hotel and own pool which we Silvers cannot use but they sit round the big pool so Silvers have nowhere to sit. Lounge dated. Music (radio) too loud round the pool all day drove me crazy! Live music only once a week. Old town nice but one visit is enough. Potomus beach is lovely but a 40min walk. Would not return to this resort or hotel if you paid for me. 4 Star it is not so the local tax at £10 a night stings a bit too! We made the best of our 10 days but feel robbed.

Hotel is a great location if you like to go out and party, main strip is a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Beach is abit further however is worth it when you get there. Staff are amazing at the hotel, very helpful. Pool and rooms are always cleaned to a high standard. Food is great, something for everyone each day.
Nice time away
Hotel and staff where amazing only down side is there was a lot of 18 year olds which made a lot of noise in the early hours we are down the road from the main party strip so if you are looking for a romantic getaway this isn’t the place to stay. Overall tho I had an amazing time. Food was amazing and staff here go above and beyond. Very clean.
Relaxing
Lovely relaxed hotel, the food and staff were excellent. Very clean hotel and pool area. We had no problems with wi fi, it all made a lovely break for us and I will come back
Poor experience. Would not go back. Very disappointed.
A group of 4 of us booked this hotel as a package through Jet 2. I requested to Jet 2 to have two rooms close to one another with two single beds. We got to the hotel in the evening to check in and they said there was no request made, despite speaking to Jet 2 on the phone and making the request. Two days later a lady at the reception politely apologised for the mistake and said they did have the request from the moment we checked into the hotel. It gave the impression to us that the guy who checked us in could not be bothered as it was later in the evening.
The food was dreadful, overcooked, cold and the same every evening. The waiters take ages to lay the table for you and on one occasion my friend asked for a knife and fork and they gave him someone else’s used knife and fork and he asked us to clear up our own cups that were from the buffet. The staff are not trained in hospitality what so ever. The food was so bad we had lunch and dinner out every afternoon and evening.
The drinks at the hotel are awful too. Cocktails, spirits and beer all really poor quality and definitely watered down. It was so bad we didn’t drink at all at the hotel and found a nice bar on the strip to drink at.
The WiFi and mobile data is terrible in the hotel too and you have to pay extra for premium WiFi. Most of us had to go outside the hotel to even get any connection.
The hotel also charged us extra for a safe. I have not been to any hotel that does this.
The cleaners do not clean the rooms properly our bedroom floor was disgusting as well as the bathroom floor. One morning the cleaners knocked on our friend’s door for room service and they politely said to come back in 15 minutes. The cleaners did not come back at all and the receptionist said “Oh the cleaners have left”, no apology at all and offered them toilet roll and towels.
Our AC stopped working so we asked for the engineer to come to our room to fix it. When we were walking back to our room he was vaping in the hallway next to our room and blew and massive cloud straight in our face. What hotel do you go to that their staff does this.
We will not be going back to this hotel again and I would not recommend it to anyone.
