DEFINITELY RECOMMEND!!! I really couldn't ask for a better vacation! I stayed at Tylissos for a week and the only thing I have to say is EXCELLENT! The rooms were fully renovated and super clean. The buffet and generally the food was on another level and the location was magical just 10 steps from the beach! The staff was super friendly and professional and the atmosphere was perfect. It had everything I could ask for and it was definitely a value for money! Coming back next year!
Coming back next year to this gem of Ierapetra. The greek night was something special. Dancing, singing and having a wonderful time! The rooms were comfortable and clean. The food was really tasty and delicious. Relaxing by the pool with a cocktail. But the best was the friendly and professional staff. Of course the beach that's just opposite the hotel stole my heart. Many thanks and we will see you next year.
My boyfriend and I had a lovely stay at Tylissos Beach Hotel. It’s a very calm and peaceful place with a nice and friendly staff, comfortable rooms and great breakfast. We really enjoyed our stay here and will definitely come back :)
There are some very good points with the hotel and some not so good hence the rating
The staff are wonderful and attentive , gentle happy and kind people . Have to say the entertainment person from Serbia adds no value and is an irritation and is not needed there
Rooms - very well appointed , clean and tidy and decor to match . Only disappointment was the exposed balcony at the front with no privacy at the front
Road - not the hotels fault but the road is exceptionally busy , loud and dangerous which you have to cross to the beach - the beach. At was not open so had to walk across with drinks - not very good when negotiating speeding traffic . This is not apparent in any photos . This needs highlighting
Parking - very poor . Tiny car park with people just parking haphazardly with little space if you hire a car
Food - generally good but not very varied / themed . The cooked breakfasts are bad , cold and something to avoid after the first try
Location - poor - away from the town . Town itself is lacklustre with a lot of appalling graffiti which doesn’t look good . The harbour and frontage is also not typically Greek and offers little .
All inclusive - this is not all inclusive and the variety of drinks is very poor . The worst part being after 22.00 you have to pay . Should not be able to use the term all inclusive on this basis
My husband and I spent a week at this hotel. Overall rating: 8/10. The journey from the airport took two hours, and we had to transfer from the coach to a car along the way. Upon arrival, we were greeted by smiling staff. This is the greatest asset of this place: everyone is smiling, friendly, and eager to help. There's a very family atmosphere, and special thanks to Rania, a very warm and welcoming person. The hotel has been renovated, the room is nice, the pool—there's really nothing to complain about. The food is very tasty—Greek. The sweets were delicious; it was impossible to control ourselves! However, a few things require attention: Needing peace and quiet, we chose an adults-only hotel. What good is that if the hotel is for adults, but the beach isn't? Imagine our surprise when we discovered that the adults' area was on one side, and on the other, someone from outside the hotel had booked a sunbed with a small child. After all, everyone was using the beach and sunbeds, and suddenly, children appeared. The hotel doesn't provide bottled water; upon entering the room, we were given two 0.5-liter bottles, and that was it. Of course, you can drink water from the available dispensers or buy one 1.5-liter bottle from the shop downstairs for 2 euros. You can't refill bottles from the dispensers. We ended up buying two cases of water from the shop and lugging it to our room. Water is available on tables in the dining room. Another issue is beach towels; a 15-euro deposit is not a problem, but if you need to replace them during your stay, it costs 3 euros. There's no beach bar (although it was included in the package price); all drinks had to be brought from the main bar in the building. To sum up, it's a nice place, a great holiday, but we won't be returning.
