A great vacation
We had a wonderful time at the Tylissos Beach Hotel. Every employee was beyond nice and always helpful. We had the only room on the third floor, which was quite weird and felt more like an old storage room turned into a hotel room. But at least no neighbors and the roof terrace for ourselves. The average age felt like 50+, with our mid-thirties we were among the youngest guests.
The food was nice there are veggie options available every day, as well as fresh fruit and salads. We booked All Inclusive, unfortunately cocktails are not included and AI ends at 10pm.
The animation program with our great host Ella Sofia from Finland was a lot of fun. There was a movie and a music quiz, bingo, Karaoke and more each evening. During the day you can choose between stretching, aqua fitness and a darts or ping pong rounamemt. All in all very laid back, join if you like.
The beach is just over the street, for us that wasn't a problem at all. Parasols and sun loungers are available and included. The water is crystal clear and had just the right temperature to cool off. The Harbour of Ierapetra is just a fifteen minute walking distance where you can find several bars and restaurants.
So we can only recommend this hotel if you want a quiet adults only atmosphere, nice swimming spot, friendly employees and a chill animation program.

Very nice hotel, very clean, food very good and tasty, personnel extremely friendly. Veronika, Maria and Tania, our favorites. Manager present all the time checking everything is allright. Greek night excellent. Private beach across the street, 8-9 cars can park inside for free but you can park also on the main street, close to the beach, no payment. Beach with pebbles, entrance into the sea with “plaka”, shower and changing room at the beach.
You Won’t be Disappointed
Really enjoyed our stay. We were met at reception by a bubbly knowledgeable receptionist named Veronica. She clearly explained the facilities of the resort and allowed us into our room even though we arrived early. She has been the best receptionist we have had in our travels on Crete The room is a good size with a king bed, balcony and tv. We found the bathroom a little tight but have found that somewhat common in Greece. It would seem to me that this is either a new resort or has recently been renovated as everything seems in exceptional shape and cleanliness. They also have an adults only access to a beach across the road with umbrellas and loungers. We found the buffet to be slightly above average for quality and variety. The smaller dining room and number of guests was a plus. There are bars in several spots in and around the resort. The resort is within walking distance of the town of Ierapetra.

A fantastic holiday at a top hotel. Excellent food and a prime beachfront location. Super-friendly staff - a big thank you to Maria! :-) A special highlight was the entertainment and the wonderful evenings organized by Ella Sofia. She is a natural talent; I loved her dance moves and performances so much - you have to see it :-)
