Pleasant stay, family atmosphere
Hotel is perfectly located. There are two bus stops (nr. 3 and 4) just couple of hundreds meters away, with regular lines to the airport and Heraklion. Within few minutes walk one can reach many kiosks, taverns, souvenir shops, two supermarkets and dozen of car rentals. One minute walk to the closest smaller beaches, or about 15 minutes walk to the great Arina beach. Our room with a sea view was spacious, comfortable, clean, with balcony, fridge and air-conditioning. There's everyday room cleaning service. The whole premises are clean and tidy. Pool within compound is rather serious with 3 meters depth on one side and 1 meter on the other. Pool goes through maintenance daily. There's a bar as well, serving all you need, including snacks, open till 11PM in June. Kitchen is great. Serving rather standard continental breakfast, but delicious traditional dishes for dinner. In 10 days of our stay we could taste different meals each day. All staff is just perfect, friendly, helpful, including cleaning ladies. Moreover, persons-in-charge Stavros and especially Eleni are angels-like. Taking care of all of your needs, creating family-like atmosphere. We had a great stay here and wishing to be back again.

Everything was excellent. The staff were incredibly friendly, the room was very cozy with an authentic Greek style, and the food was exceptional—varied and absolutely delicious. The beach was only a 2-minute walk away, and the city of Heraklion was just a 15-minute bus ride. Every moment of our stay was worth it. We can't wait to come back. Congratulations to the entire team, and especially to Helena, who was an exceptional host.
Very lovely hotel
We have never experienced such hospitality and care from the hotel staff before. We highly recommend this small and cozy Marilisa hotel to anyone who prefers a peaceful vacation and appreciates the proximity to the sea! Behind the hotel is a nice sandy beach where you can admire the beautiful sunset every evening!

Great holiday at the Marilisa
We stayed at the Marilisa for two weeks from the 9th June. It is a super small hotel in the centre of the village on the main road but backing on to the beach. It is a very clean and well run hotel with super attentive staff, our room was large with a king size bed a good size bath room and good air conditioning. There is a pool with sun beds and an outside bar. We had continental breakfast which was varied from day to day. It is near a number of restaurants and very handy for the airport. All in all it was great value for money for our kind of holiday.

Best Hotel and Most incredible staff in Crete!!
Home away from home. The staff made this place an unforgettable stay. They made us feel welcome straight away and treated us with absolute kindness. The location is perfect starting point to go explore western, central and southern Crete!! Only 11 minutes away from the airport, meant we didn’t have to worry about leaving super early. Our flight was a late one back and they let use stay, use all that the hotel had to offer and even still have dinner there. Our arrival flight was late too so they made it very very easy to find our rooms. The rooms are simple but very spacious, easy to access and amazing view of the swimming pool! The food was a real highlight as every evening there was something new to eat for dinner. From savoury and sweet. I really enjoyed the selection and variety. Breakfast was nice and light too. This was our first time to crete and I will definitely be going back there when I return. They made you feel like friends coming to visit. You felt warm and welcomed from start to finish. Also did I say that it was only a 2 minute walk away from the beach!!! Lots of local tavernas to eat at near by too and watercity water park is only an 8 minute drive away too!!! We had an itinerary planned out but they made sure we knew if we needed any recommendations or help they were there to do so. Plus they organised a greek bbq and dancing night every Thursday!! It was unforgettable experience.
