Arina Beach Resort is one of the first built and most known hotels on Crete island, due to its characteristic architecture, its outstanding services and long history in the Cretan Hospitality industry. The sleek and fully renovated Arina Beach Resort on Crete's sun-drenched north coast focuses on total island relaxation. The resort is set in beautiful gardens, dotted with palm trees and colorful flowers, overlooking the stunning crystal clear waters of the Cretan sea. Consisting of its “trade mark” five-storey Main Building with all rooms offering marvelous sea views, and additional wings housing Rooms with Private pool or Sharing Pool, Double Rooms Sea Views, Beach Front Bungalows (some with Private Pool), & Family rooms either Maisonettes or simple Sea Views. There are large swimming pools (one heart shaped) meticulously lined with loungers backs onto the private beach with endless sea serenity beyond. In a specially designed area, supervised by trained personnel, kids will find exciting games by our Water Park to exhaust their energy, make new friends, laugh their hearts out and enjoy their vacation. Our main Restaurant serves up a wide range of buffet-style foods with vegetarian options, while Asian Buffer Restaurant' offers an enriched dinner buffet choice ‘Asian' style. Our guests may indulge their tastes in our A la Carte Restaurant as well. When the sun sets, the Daedalus Bar is the place to go, with cushioned sofas providing ample opportunity for wind down time. Our guests may sip on their favorite cocktail whilst enjoying the rich entertainment program at our Main Bar. For drinks during the day, they may head to the Pool Bar or the Beach Bar. Experience the professional touch of our spa-therapists. Nearly Perfect Greek Getaway!
Lovely 5 days spent here although not quite 5*. Hotel and rooms were perfectly clean. Staff fantastic, especially George for being so attentive to us in the main restaurant and the lady in the annex bar. All the ladies at the spa did a fantastic job. It was a bit pricey but well worth going twice! Food nice and varied but nothing exceptional. Al La Carte was a waste of time and needs to offer the full service experience, not a partial buffet service. Some sun loungers at the beach desperately needs replacing. A drinks service at the beach would also help elevate this to a 5* holiday.
Amazing hotel
Fantastic hotel,great experience,highly recommended to families. Great food,family friendly everywhere you go,the animation team were top class and lovely people. The food and drinks available were great. We found it being so close to the sea was also fantastic as we could snorkel in the sea (lots to see) and swim in the pool. We took a day trip to Heraklion to break up the week,which was a busy hustling city on a Saturday but got a feel of the local vibe with great views across the harbour.It was also my daughter’s birthday while we were there which they made a big fuss of on the evening meal. Thanks guys

Not a fully fledged 5-star hotel
This hotel presumably ticks all the boxes to achieve a 5-star rating, but clearly needs further investment if it is to avoid being downgraded to 4 stars. Cosmetic touches are being used in an attempt to mask the hotel’s outdated condition. Examples include the sagging sun loungers on the beach and by the pool, which have mattress toppers placed on top to compensate. The same applies to the beds in the bedrooms. The rooms are spacious, but a lot of light and noise seeps in through the gaps under the (old)entrance door. There is no soundproofing material in the corridors, meaning that even the slightest noise in the corridor echoes as if in a swimming pool. Many of the lifts are old and small. It’s impossible to fit three people and their luggage into a single lift. The meals are varied but tend to be rather repetitive. The evening entertainment is on a small scale but OK. Of course, there are also positives, such as the hospitality of all the staff, the short transfer times from Heraklion Airport (though you do have to put up with aeroplanes flying at 300 metres above the hotel at daytime) and there are plenty of sun loungers on the beach. Drinks and snacks available at all time. The staff also make an effort to keep everything clean. The room was cleaned daily. Our conclusion; our holiday was fine but, compared to other 5-star hotels we’ve stayed in, this hotel struggles to maintain its 5-star status. The value for money is therefore only narrowly justified.

Amazing Resort
Amazing resort, outstanding food and options, and great kids entertainment. Everyone in the resort is so welcoming. We also did a massage at the spa which was excellent. The friendly so reception lady Eleni was very helpful while the masseuse also named Eleni was incredible. Definitely our favorite resort from others we’ve visited in Canary Islands and Portugal. The overall quality is higher and value for your money feel appropriate in all aspects of the resort.

We stayed in a Standard Double Room with a sea view and balcony
We had a great stay at Arina Beach Resort. The location is excellent, just a 10-minute taxi ride from Heraklion. The staff were outstanding,friendly, polite, and always happy to help. The room and the entire hotel were kept very clean with daily housekeeping, which we really appreciated. The noise level was about what you'd expect from a family-friendly resort with lots of children, so it wasn't an issue for us. Overall, the service was excellent. The only downside was that the rice at meals most-often seemed undercooked, which was a little disappointing for us. Apart from that, we had a very enjoyable stay and would happily recommend the resort.
