Our recent stay at Domes Noruz Chania was absolutely wonderful. Before arriving, we watched multiple videos and reviews online, but none of them did the hotel justice. The views are simply breathtaking, and the attention to detail throughout the property is exceptional.
One of our favourite features was the private beach area. Although the hotel operates a first-come, first-served policy for sunbeds, we never struggled to find one regardless of the time of day. We also appreciated that guests cannot reserve beds, and any unattended beds are cleared after around 30 minutes, which keeps things fair for everyone. Fresh towels are available at both the beach and pool areas, and the service throughout the hotel was outstanding. Room towels were changed daily, and on several occasions our room was serviced twice in one day.
The staff went above and beyond to make our stay effortless. We visited Chania Old Town a couple of times, and the hotel was always happy to arrange taxis for us. They also organised a fantastic private self-drive boat hire experience, coordinating everything with the boat company and arranging our transport to and from the port.
Every single person we encountered, both within the hotel and around Chania, was friendly, welcoming and polite. We particularly loved our taxi journeys, which often came with an impromptu history lesson about Crete and the local area!
This was one of the best hotel stays we have experienced, and we will definitely be returning. We are already looking at booking one of the Domes sister hotels so that we can bring our children with us on our next visit. Thank you to everyone at Domes Noruz Chania for such a memorable holiday.
As many reviews have pointed out - the downside of this otherwise overall good hotel is the bar music - it leaks into the seaview rooms so that you are never fully relaxed. management needs to halve the volume.
This hotel ticked every box for us. The location seconds from a sandy beach and beautiful easy swimming sea, exceptional food, fantastic staff and tranquil. Cleanliness off the chart, everywhere and even teams cleaning off the sand from sunbeds, of which there were plenty, no rush for securing a spot no matter what time of day. That’s very unusual these days. We will go back.
Hire a car an experience beautiful villages and beaches too.
Could possibly be one of our best holidays yet, and I have been to a fair few countries and destinations both in Europe, Greece and the rest of the world. The service and staff were outstanding from start to finish. Nothing short of perfect customer service but in an unintrusive and helpful way. Always happy to help or attend to your needs.
Plenty of sunloungers round the two pools and the private beach area and very comfy ones at that.
Everything is so clean, fresh towels and bed linen every day. The grounds and hotel is immaculate and smells divine.
The food was delicious. Although not much option on the evening menu and the menu stayed the same for the whole 10 days. Limited for vegetarians so we ate out most nights but plenty of places to go to eat.
Great quiet location with enough little shops and restaurants to get to on foot but Chania only about 15 mins in a taxi or bus and very easy to get to.
Rooms gorgeous and well designed, if a little small, and very little space for clothes to hang or put away. I would say however you really don’t need to take much as all towels provided, separate ones for pools, beach and showering. Shampoos, conditioners, shower wash and body lotion all wonderful there so really no need to take your own. And honestly it wasn’t a problem as you don’t spend huge amounts of time in the room anyway.
So many extra touches. Lots of little gifty bits to take home. I had my birthday when we were there and the team went out of their way to help celebrate. We came back to the room from the pool and I had balloons on the bed a gorgeous cake and a bottle of champagne in the room.
Highly recommend. First class service.
Amazing hotel. The staff are fantastic. The food delicious and the sunbeds comfortable and plentiful. Upgraded on last day to sea view room with private pool which was amazing.
