Pros: Great location. On the beach next to a lively strip and surrounded by restaurants and shops.
Atmosphere in the hotel was mostly quiet and chilled which was great.
Room looked really good and we thoroughly enjoyed our private pool. We booked the junior suite.
The all inclusive food was very basic although at times it was actually very tasty.
Cons: There was a leak from the ceiling above the sink (didn’t get fixed) , cockroaches, and door doesn’t lock from inside. The bathroom door didn’t lock either.
The TV didn’t have Netflix or Amazon prime and the cast app didn’t work at all. We were disappointed.
We had an item stolen from the private pool area but the hotel fixed this and reimbursed us. They advised the CCTV wasn’t working properly…
The staff were mostly friendly but they seemed very stressed out at times and didn’t always handle situations we would expect a 4 star hotel to. For example, not speaking fluent English and undermining our situations when we had a complaint.
There are two bars: an attractive indoor bar and a smaller pool bar. When we arrived at the hotel we were told the indoor bar is not for all inclusive, only the outdoor pool bar.
The alcoholic drinks were very basic and cocktails were not made fresh.
Overall they haven’t earned their fourth star in my opinion. We’ve spent less at other all inclusive in a similar area and had a better experience.
Would not recommend unless you are going to be out of the hotel for majority of the day.
Great location for exploring , beach in front not to my taste but clean and tidy so spent a small amount of time there. The hotel staff are very friendly and our room was cleaned every day along with water bottles left every day . No issues with noise and the junior suite we booked with pool was like your own apartment and worth the extra money. The only thing I would say is it lacked an atmosphere, quite a few German people who were not very polite or friendly. The food was good , we mainly ate breakfast which was plentiful and a great variety. Kitchen staff extremely friendly . I would say it is value for money
Dear Management and Wonderful Team of Palmera Beach Hotel & Spa,
My wife and I would like to express our heartfelt appreciation for the amazing experience we had during our stay at your hotel.
From the very first day, we were impressed by the kindness, professionalism, and warm attitude of all the staff members. Everyone was incredibly polite, friendly, and always ready to help with a smile, which made us feel truly welcome and comfortable.
We also greatly enjoyed the delicious food and the excellent variety offered at breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The quality of the restaurant service was outstanding, and the open-air bar created such a relaxing and enjoyable atmosphere.
The beautiful beach and the sea right next to the hotel made our vacation even more special. Spending time by the water and enjoying the peaceful surroundings was unforgettable. We also loved the pool area and all the different services and facilities the hotel provides.
We sincerely congratulate the management for creating such a wonderful, friendly, and well-organized environment. It is clear that great care and effort are put into every detail to make guests happy.
Thank you again for your hospitality and for making our holiday so memorable. We truly appreciated everything and would be very happy to return again in the future.
With warm regards, Siamak & Narges
The positive thing for this hotel is it's close to the beach, however all inclusive does not allow you to have to pay for your drinks.
The food in the buffet was nice, there are two a la carte restaurants outside of the hotel but they are not included in the all inclusive, you do get 10% off if they remember to take your voucher.
All inclusive guests can only get drinks from the pool bar, which is tucked out the back. If you want to enjoy people watching or a game of pool you have to get drinks from there as you won't be served at the lobby bar.
We had a room with a jacuzzi on the balcony and freestanding bath in the bedroom, as lovely as these were it made the room quite compact. On the positive the shower is lovely and the apple & raspberry shampoo & conditioner left my hair very soft. There is no air conditioning in our room only a ceiling fan, which wasn't even centered in the room. The balcony we had was very overlooked, no privacy in your room if you didn't shut the curtain.
The spa was the best thing for me and my husband. Although we realised after booking the private access for half hour we didn't really need it as we had the jacuzzi in our room.
In our opinion the hotel could do with some upgrades and a bit of TLC, for instance there was a dirty scum line around the pool, the windows near the pool were filthy. The garden area must have had a water leak or something as some parts of the ground were puddled and muddy.
We were disappointed by both the condition of the room and the facilities provided. The mirror in the bathroom was cracked in several places; when we stripped the beds prior before leaving the mattress was stained and unclean; the bathroom sink had such a strong sewage odour whenever the tap was used; the variety of food available was really limited, with not a lot of choice; the sun-bed area at the back of the hotel was consistently waterlogged and muddy so you couldn’t really even use it. The atmosphere was nice and the hotel is in a good location to do things but we found without constantly relying on taxis or hiring a car, there really wasn’t a lot to do. The staff were very friendly and nice but there were a couple of times where we felt like we were being a nuisance to them and they couldn’t wait to get us away from the desk, even when we asked about taxis and things. I wouldn’t say this is a 4* hotel.
We paid a lot of money for this holiday and it was meant to be our honeymoon, a holiday to remember forever and memories to last us a lifetime but unfortunately, we really didn’t get that at all.
