Excellent place, without a doubt the best and the benchmark for staying in Heraklion, Crete.
It has two outstanding restaurants, very comfortable and clean rooms equipped with the latest technology, refined Bulgari toiletries in the bathrooms, a very modern room design, and an exceptional breakfast featuring fresh fruits, vegetables, pastries, and the finest ingredients from Crete. I highly recommend staying here. I would come back again and again. Watching the sunrise over the sea from the dining room while enjoying a delicious breakfast was an incredible experience.
The attention to detail with the in-room amenities, the fact that the housekeeping staff serviced the room twice a day and left a personalized card with their names in case we had any questions or concerns, the constant attentiveness of the hotel staff, the delicious fish, and the incredible desserts at the restaurants all gave us a wonderful surprise that exceeded our expectations.
Laura and Maria were incredibly kind and attentive at breakfast, making us feel even better than at home. Fabi and Andonis at Eternal Blue Resto were also exceptional, and in my opinion, it is the better of the two restaurants for dinner.
Without a doubt, we would choose it again—to the point that we dream of returning to Crete just to stay there.
The only downside is the lack of a large, beautiful beach, but it does not diminish the experience in the slightest.

Another 5 star visit
Our third visit to Nanna Princess and it lived up to our 2 previous holidays, 5 star food and service. Special mention to Dimitris Service Manager, Joanna,Maria, and waitresses Lyra,Lovely and Precious we looked forward to their lovely smiles every day such great girls a credit to the hotel, we look forward to another return in the not too distant future, keep up the great work 👍👍⛱️
Wonderful resort with excellent service.
Myself, my fiancée, and daughter stayed for 9 nights in a sea view pool villa and had high expectations for this resort after reading such good reviews.
Firstly, the room was lovely and well equipped. Great pool, good shower & bath, strong water pressure, coffee machine, plenty of storage etc.
Breakfast was excellent, live music played from 8:30am, options available I’ve never seen at a breakfast before. The hotel restaurants are also really good. Food was high quality throughout the resort. We would highly recommend Romantic Corner Taverna, a short walk from the hotel, for local Greek food - we ate there 5/9 of the nights we stayed.
The service is the main highlight of this hotel - absolutely every request was actioned almost immediately. My fiancee is Type 1 diabetic and had a fault with her pump with no back up available, this required us to need an emergency prescription for insulin pens which the hotel managed to organise and collect for us, on a Sunday, in no time at all. We were incredibly impressed with all of the staff.
Hotel amenities are great - the gym especially is very good, which was a big plus for me. 2 main pools that were never crowded. The beach cabanas are excellent. We would’ve liked the hotel entertainment to potentially start a little earlier or more to be available, it seemed most things began at 10pm which was too late for us with a 1 year old.
The only real slight negatives are that the bed/pillows aren’t that comfortable in our opinion. Plenty of pillows choices and none really worked, and quite a firm mattress. Secondly, out of all the areas in Crete, we wouldn’t say this is the best, but it entirely depends on the type of stay you want - if you’re looking to walk into a local village and various quiet tavernas, shops, beaches etc, I would say this isn’t for you. Nana Princess is more of a resort for those looking to just go and completely switch off/relax, or are happy to get taxis for days out.
We love Crete and have visited a few times, and if we return simply for a complete relaxation holiday in the resort, Nana Princess would be our choice.

Relaxation on a higher level
Nana Princess just exceeded our expectations in every single way. The resort is very quiet and peaceful even when it's fully booked. We did not have to struggle to find a beach cabana or restaurant reservation any day. Our room with private pool was crazy tuned in every detail possible. I would like to send a special "thank you" to our amazing concierge Joanna, who made the stay feel like we are in a our second home, accommodating every request we had (she even provided baby bath, bottle sterilizer and little gifts for our 4-month old baby). We also loved our room service responsible Maria and the whole Eternal blue restaurant crew, who made every meal an unforgettable experience. Would definitely recommend Nana Princess for travelers searching for relaxation on a higher level, extraordinary culinary experience and top-level equipment and service. Oh, and go for a massage in their spa - that was also just a dream :)
