Nana Golden Beach

Nana Golden Beach is a truly 5 star resort. Ideal for all ages and families, there is something for everyone. The food is of a high standard for all meals but the breakfast at Thalassa stands out, as does the service from Konstantina. She is a very friendly and extremely welcoming. The view all around the place is stunning. The Meal-in restaurant was a highlight. The seafront room is also perfect. It’s a spacious room and even though right on the front, it feels private and very safe. The only thing to improve would be to improve the animation team activities for young children around the main pool. There are plenty of other pools where a chilled out vibe is present so more music and activities would be welcome to improve the atmosphere a little. Overall it’s an incredibly beautiful hotel and you would not be disappointed booking here!

Nana Golden Beach is a modern, clean and well-maintained family resort. The waterpark is genuinely impressive. The staff make a real difference, with Konstantina standing out for her warmth, energy and genuine care.

We particularly enjoyed our waterfront room, which allowed us to have breakfast at Thalassa. Breakfast by the sea, under Konstantina’s attentive management, with a proper morning freddo cappuccino became one of the best parts of our stay. By contrast, I still find it difficult to understand why the main buffet restaurant is located on level minus one when the hotel has such a beautiful seafront setting.

Our food comparison is against another high-end all-inclusive resort in Corfu from last year. The main buffet here offered plenty of choice, but the flavour and consistency were not always at the level we expected. The à-la-carte restaurants were better, with Nami standing out as our favourite, while lunches at Poseidon were also enjoyable.

The sea looked beautiful, although there are probably better places to swim elsewhere on Crete. To be fair, it was windy during most of our stay. The hotel has created a protected beach area, which is a real advantage for families with smaller children.

Almost every member of staff we met was smiling, attentive and helpful. Konstantina deserves special recognition: whether at breakfast in Thalassa or coordinating restaurants later in the evening, she was always energetic, professional and willing to go the extra mile. People like her are what turn a good hotel stay into a special holiday.

Nana Golden Beach is a stunning resort with almost endless amenities. My family spent five days there and left feeling like we still hadn’t seen everything the property has to offer.

The facilities are beautiful, the beach is great, and the location on the sea is perfect. Cleanliness and overall quality are top notch. The pools and water parks were a hit with every age in our group, and the entertainment was consistently good. There’s no shortage of ways to keep everyone busy.

The food was very good, with so many restaurants to choose from that I never ate the same thing twice.

Where the stay fell short was service. I was surprised by how inconsistent it was at the bars and restaurants. Cocktails were hit or miss - I had more bad drinks than good ones. Staff often came across as cold, at times bordering on rude, and small, simple requests were routinely brushed off or refused.

At most resorts I’ve stayed at, the facilities are fine and it’s the service that makes the trip memorable. Here it was the opposite. Everyone in our group had fun, and it’s a genuinely beautiful property - but it’s not somewhere I see myself returning.
