The 4-star hotel Mitos Village is located in the historic village of Upper Hersonissos just 200 meters from the village square, with various picturesque taverns for your evening excursions, and just 2 km from the sea ... The rooms are divided into two buildings. One building houses 18 rooms, 47.5 sqm for our most classic guests, while the other building houses 11 traditional rooms, with one or two bedrooms and a living room, as well as family rooms. Our hotel provides a swimming pool overlooking the endless Cretan Sea and our beautiful mountain that offers a peaceful atmosphere. The combination of sun, mountain and sea together with the fresh air will compensate you. Breakfast & dinner are provided with fresh pure ingredients of the village, traditional sweets of our production. All our rooms include refrigerator, TV, Wi-Fi, hair dryer, kettle and telephone. At the reception of our hotel, you will find information about car or bike rental, as well as fantastic excursions in the different landscapes of Crete Mitos Village Hotel is just a few meters from the beautiful and golden beaches of Hersonissos, opposite the beach there are a variety of shops for shopping, and also beautiful taverns to try Cretan flavors and then relax with a delicious cocktail in the coffee bars, spread out on the beach. The city of Heraklion is only 26 km from the hotel, while the airport is only 23 km. Ano Hersonissos is an excellent choice to spend your holidays alone or with your family and to have a fantastic time… Dare it.

Relaxation in its purest form.
There are not enough words for me to express how wonderful we found this hotel and the entire team.
Every area is kept immaculately clean by the 2 girls who clean all areas, all day, every day.
The breakfast area was beautiful to sit and enjoy a superb breakfast in peace and quiet with only the noises of nature surrounding you. It set us up for the day, not only in sustenance but mentally as well. It was bliss.
The pool area was spotless, and it was a joy to get into the pool which was a lovely temperature and very refreshing in the very high temperatures Crete was experiencing. We spent a lot of time in and around the pool and happily used the bar services which were also great.
Finally, but certainly not least, Thanos the owner, Caterina his wife and Maria, Thanos’s mother showed us such hospitality, generosity of spirit, kindness and a genuine desire to make every moment of our holiday most enjoyable. They succeeded - it was perfect from arrival to departure (which came far too soon). We are going to return next year for a longer stay and are already counting down the days.

Great place to stay, would recommend
My sister and I really enjoyed the cleanliness and tranquility of Mitos Village, we would return. Thanos and his family were very welcoming and accommodating. Highly recommended staying here. Food was good, pool was clean, staff were friendly. Absolutely no complaints.
Perfect choice for our vacation
The location is very beautiful. The rooms are very clean and all the location is so. The breakfast was very good, tasty and you can order food for lunch, very tasty also. The pool is perfect if you want a lazy day in the sun with good music and I recommend you to try their cocktails 😁. Also if you want to go to the old center of Hersonissos, you just have to take a 2 min walk and to the clubs and the new hersonissos city (beach, clubs, stores and all that stuff) you can go by car, in 5 min you are there. If you want to rent a car, to buy excursions, order food at the hotel, Thanos can help you. Very happy with this choice for our vacation in Greece.

Wonderful Accommodation - Great Quality and Value
Superb accommodation in a great location 5 min stroll to the village square of Old Hersonissos and another 15/20 to Piskopiano and Koutouloufari. The welcome from Thanos and his staff was exceptional as was the large air conditioned apartment which included lovely extra touches like complimentary wine and fruit basket, robes and slippers, pool towels and good quality toiletries and amenities. Great pool area and bar and the breakfast was excellent - everything fresh and great quality in a lovely outdoor terrace by the pool. The whole place is immaculate and the level of cleaning is exceptional. Staff can’t do enough for you and we got excellent advice and help from Thanos about local places to visit, eat, hire car, taxis etc. All in all exceptional quality at a great price. Will definitely come back. Highly recommended.

Fabulous
Just back from a fantastic two week holiday in Crete Old Herrsonnisis. A big thanks to Thanos and the staff at Mitos Village we had a fabulous time everything was perfect could not ask for a better place to stay great breakfast beautiful views fantastic pool yes we will definitely be back....
