Mediterraneo Hotel

Arrived at the hotel to a miserable staff member , we were given our room which was very dated and the floor was sandy . The air con in the room was useless its boiling in the room . The view was of a dusty mountain with water pipes all over it . The fact that it’s called all inclusive is a joke they charge you two euros for a bottle of water . The alcoholic drinks free are just wine local spirits and local beer . If you want a cocktail it’s 6 euro fifty cents . They charge three fifty for iced coffee . The food is awful . The chips are fine but everything is in a sauce . All juices , pops ice cream etc are really really sweet and taste cheap . The breakfast is the best meal of the day but don’t expect too much , no sausages or bacon . The scrambled eggs always have something in them . The salad is the same every day . The pool never has any staff around , the sun beds are okay but only one side gets the sun most of the day . There’s no entertainment to speak of . The hotel has a nice clientele mostly French polish and Dutch with a small amount of brits . I would say unless you’re absolutely a Greece addict don’t bother . The weather however was perfect . I’d say this hotel is a 3 star at most . Don’t waste your money !

Id give this hotel 3.5/5 if possible Firstly the cons Upon arrival we were given room 252. Which we had to change the following day, due to the safe not working, poor air-conditioning and generally alittle tired looking room. We were offered an alternative after we checked in, but it was right at the top of the hill so we declined, and sorted a room the following day with a safe that worked and better air-conditioning. The hotel when originally built id happily say it would of been a 4 star. But id say it was 3 star now. Little things like

1. Tea and coffee in rooms
2. Small selection of inclusive cocktails.
3. Tea and coffee available in main restaurant during lunch and dinner sittings, without having to go to the bar.
4. Puddings being replenished quicker. They get destroyed quite quickly, and can take a while before replenished.
5. Larger selection of puddings.
6. Food staying warm - beans in morning are way too cold.
7. Better entertainment - like cash Bingo through the day. Apart from water zumba at 11.30am didn't really see much engagement from entertainment team.
8. Fridge should be stocked with little bottles of water atleast every other day. One big bottle of water isn't good enough.

The pros.

1. Very polite staff
2. Nice outside seating by pool bar/food
3. Selection of food although not extensive, was just enough. I think if I was staying longer than a week id of got fed up with the food options.

Overall The hotel was OK. Fine for a week. Compared to other 4 star hotels in the area, id say they were below them. But its the small details mentioned in the cons that make a massive difference. The staff were always approachable and happy to help. Although, we didn't get the kettle we asked for in our room! Would i go back.... Don't know, possibly. Certainly wouldn't put anyone off from going. Just dont expect a 4 star hotel. Defo a 3 star All in all, we had a lovely holiday.
