The Heraklion airport is within 5 km and Chania airport is roughly 150 km from the hotel. This majestic hotel comprises a total of 60 rooms. The air-conditioned lobby offers a 24-hour reception desk. Culinary options include a breakfast room and a restaurant. The latter offers guests specialities from the Greek and the international cuisine. Public Internet connection and modern conference rooms are available for our business guests. The tastefully decorated rooms are fully - equipped. Breakfast may be selected from a buffet each morning. Other meals can be selected from the à la carte or a set menu. Furthermore, individual specific dishes can be prepared. So glad we chose to stay at the Atrion
Loved this hotel. We were here for 14 nights, and quite truthfully the Atrion was the perfect base for us. OK, the surrounding area might look a bit down at heel, but it’s full of atmosphere and only a short stroll (turning left) to Lions Square with all its touristy shops, or (turning right) the seafront, museums, and good local restaurants (Peskesi and Parasties are especially recommended for excellent Cretan menus). Our room at the Atrion was very comfortable and cleaned every day to a high standard by our lovely chambermaid Anna. The bathroom was a little on the small side, but everything worked, always lots of hot water and clean towels, so no complaints. Our bed was really comfortable, and although we were above a side street there was no noise at night and we slept like babies. Downstairs, the dining room was well laid out, breakfast was excellent - lots of it, varying from day to day - and the redoubtable Athena and Stella made sure everyone was happy. Needless to add, we shall be coming back again to the Atrion next year.

Great location, rooms need some redecorating
The hotel is in a fantastic location in between the fortress and lion Square. The hotel is very modern in the lobby and breakfast locations. The breakfast was an amazing buffet with a huge assortment of everything. Our room number was 505 and had a huge balcony with a water view to the right side and city and street views to the other sides. The room needed a little bit of modernization. I can’t quite say what was wrong other than maybe it was the maybe it was the coloring? It was decorated in rust and browns, but everything seemed new enough. The rooms just needed a little bit of modernization and maybe get rid of the red carpet in the hallways. The room had a large safe that could easily fit many laptops. It had a hairdryer and a luggage rack. I love it when they have luggage racks! The bed was king size, and a little on the soft side. The pillows squish down into nothing. So there are 2 additional pillows in the closet. Sleeping was quiet.

Small well situated hotel with outstanding breakfasts.
The Atrion Hotel is a small hotel well situated near the sea front of Heraklion. Our room had a small balcony with a bit of a sea view and although small was clean and relatively modern. The room didn't come with tea and coffee facilities which is a bit of a shame but did have a mini fridge with a couple of bottles of complimentary water, although these were not restocked during the week. This lack of tea and coffee making facilities may not apply to all rooms. The bed was comfortable. What made the hotel standout were the breakfasts which had a very extensive range of hot and cold options which were varied throughout the week - a great start to the day. The staff were all very friendly and helpful.

Wonderful New Year’s Eve stay.
Booked for a few days over the New Year. Room was small but very well appointed and very clean. Breakfast buffet was excellent and went back for dinner. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Excellent value, would definitely recommend and will stay again when we return to Heraklion.

Great hotel in a great location
Hotel is well located within walking distance of most city attractions. Modern interior and rooms were well appointed. The hotel public areas and rooms were very clean. Bathroom was well set up and bedroom had plenty of space. Balcony off the room was enormous and in good weather would be great to use. Staff were friendly and attentive. Would definitely stay again .
