We had a lovely 5 nights away at this hotel. We upgraded to a swim up room, and thankfully got one of the few which gets sunshine most of the day. The rest of the beds seemed to get very little sun considering how much you pay. I was in room 1401. The room was lovely, swim up for us was worth every penny. The pool water tho, seemed to be very salty and was rarely cleaned the whole time i was there. The hotel its self is lovely but I feel there could be lots of little things which would upgrade this for us. The lack of bars, with only one bar open quite far down was a pain for us. If each pool had its own little self serve bar it would be best as there is plenty space to do this. The food wasn’t great but that’s typical all inclusive and I do think that there was always something to eat. I wouldn’t recommend eating the chicken though as it was quite pink inside and made me feel unwell at the thought of it. Quite close to shops, the beach is beautiful but it was very rough when we were here maybe just how it is but the waves were okay for us but personally I wouldn’t want my kids to be there. The hotel was very French orientated but we knew this before coming but the staff always did try to involve us and were always kind and friendly. We also got late check out for an extra €30 which was a steal for us as we had late flight. There is a new side to this hotel across the road which I never knew about and there is mini golf and what seems to be a football park also but we only found this on the last day unfortunately. Again a lot is in french so it’s hard to understand things about the hotel when it’s not marked up well. The hotel is stunning and this would not put us off coming back and have actually tried to rebook for the swim up rooms alone but I would like to request a room instead because paying all that money I wouldn’t be happy if it didn’t get one bit of sunshine. Over all though we had a great time and I hope jet2 get it back on their website so I can maybe rebook.
Totally impressed with 4 of the employees at this hotel which provided stand out service amongst all the others. Natasha, Ria, Rafael, and Maria . They went above and beyond on our hotel stay and their hospitality was exceptional. 4 pools to choose from so spoiled for choice . Hotel is clean , sun beds are so comfortable , the beds and pillows comfortable . Good choice of food and places to relax and close to beach . There is a great aquarium a mile walk down the road. The only thing that could make this hotel better is the entertainment , The Greek night is definitely worth a watch but not the other nights unless you like karaoke and bingo . It’s a shame they have the space for people to dance but don’t do a disco . If they sorted the night time entertainment out it would be fab.
I spent 8 wonderful days at Magda Club in Crete in August, and I can honestly say that it was the best experience. The hotel was clean, the food was delicious, and everything was great. However, the part of my stay that I will remember the most is definitely Club Jumbo and the amazing animation team. Moritz, Anis and Adrian made my holiday even better. Each of them does their job really well , they were friendly, energetic and always made people smile. There are many different activities every day, so I think everyone can find something for themselves.I also want to mention Basilis, who made my time even nicer with the conversations. He was always kind and interesting to talk to, and these small moments made my stay even more special. The hotel itself was wonderful, but the people at Club Jumbo really made the difference for me. Thanks to Moritz, Anis, Adrian and Basilis, I will remember this holiday for a very long time. I will never forget these 8 days in Crete, the atmosphere, the activities, the shows and all the great memories I made at Magda Club. It was a truly special stay !!!
This hotel has a lot of positives and a few negatives. Firstly the location is great, you are close to the beach and only a 10 minute walk from the bus stop to take you into Heraklion. The entertainment was great and super engaging, especially for children. The food isn’t the best and there isn’t a lot of options to chose from, but i suppose that is with almost every all inclusive. Our room was cleaned daily and the bed was comfortable. Our bathroom light did stop working but other than that, really good. You are in a flight path so it can be noisy during the night. The staff are all super friendly and helpful.
We have a very nice time at Magda hotel and I enjoyed a nice massage with Carolina
