We are ideally located in the tranquil resort of Kato Gouves, 600m away from a sandy beach and very close in walking distance from shops, restaurants and bars.
CretAquarium, the International Exhibition Center of Crete and the picturesque village of Gouves are accessible within walking distance or a short drive. The Cretan Golf Club and two of the largest water parks are only a short drive away from our properties. Heraklion city, appox. 17 km. Our Hotels are easily accessed from Heraklion Intern. airport (14 km) and Heraklion port (17 km). Additionally taxi, car rental service is offered and the local bus station is only 150 m away from the hotel.

I really didn’t want to leave!

We have just returned from a week at Aelius Lavris Hotel in Gouves and honestly, we couldn’t have asked for a better stay. From the moment we arrived, the hotel was clean, tidy and beautifully maintained, and every member of staff we came across was so friendly and welcoming.
We stayed in the Senus area, which was absolutely fabulous. Having our own rooftop Jacuzzi, separate pool and private bar made the stay feel really special. A huge shoutout to Spyros at the bar — he was so friendly, always had a smile on his face and made an amazing strawberry daiquiri! 🍓🍹
The staff really do go above and beyond to make you feel looked after. At breakfast, there was a lovely lady who I believe was called Giota. She was so kind and, after a few mornings, knew exactly what we liked. She would have our breakfast tea, coffee and orange juice ready for us when we arrived, which was such a small gesture but made us feel so special and remembered. ❤️
The food throughout our stay was great, with plenty of choice, and there was entertainment on every night. It was nice having something different each evening, although things do quieten down a little around 10:30pm — which wasn’t a problem for us at all.
The hotel was also really accommodating when it came to getting to the beach. They run shuttle buses every couple of hours in the morning, with return shuttles later in the afternoon, which made getting out and about really easy.
If I had to mention one very small thing, the shower was quite leaky after using it, so the bathroom floor could get a little wet. But honestly, this was such a minor issue and certainly didn’t affect our overall experience.
We absolutely loved our stay and would happily return. The hotel, the staff, the atmosphere and those little personal touches made our holiday so special. We were genuinely gutted to leave and were already wishing we could stay longer! 🇬🇷☀️💙

A Perfect Crete Getaway – Highly Recommended!
We had a fantastic stay at Aelius Hotel & Spa By Lavris and would highly recommend it!
From the moment we arrived, the staff were incredibly welcoming, friendly and always happy to help. The hotel was spotless, with beautifully maintained grounds and comfortable, modern rooms.
The food was excellent, with plenty of variety at every meal, and there was always something new to try. One small suggestion would be to have a little more variety of fresh fruit available, but overall the choice and quality of the food were excellent.
The pool areas were lovely and never felt overcrowded, making it easy to relax and enjoy the sunshine.
The location was great too, with easy access to nearby beaches and attractions, while still offering a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere.
Thank you to everyone at Aelius for making our holiday so enjoyable. We had an amazing time, left feeling completely relaxed and definitely will be going back! We would happily recommend Aelius to anyone looking for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday in Crete. 🇬🇷☀️❤️

Calm, relaxing and a perfect end to my trip
I liked that Emma was calm and relaxed it made the whole atmosphere easy to relax myself. The massage hit everything especially the soreness between my shoulder blades. The beds were also very comfortable.

Lovely resort, really clean, outstanding food & lovely staff.
Beautiful resort, stayed in the sensus private. part of the resort, everything was very clean.. all the staff were wonderful! Kind & helpful particularly the barman at our sensus private bar & the main receptionist.. couldn’t do enough for us. 10 minute walk to the beach or use the complimentary shuttle.
