Staying in Caretta Beach Hotel was an experiance of great and amazing nature at the amazing location by the sea, unusual kindness and hospitality, huge and very comfortable double beds , great view from terrace and sound of the see, tasty breakfast served will stay with us for long !!!!!!!

Quite good but not perfect
The staff is the biggest advantages about possible competitor. Thea is a great Manager (not sure what her real funktion is) Katherinas Foodis fantastic. These analysiert all the other guys are doing a fine job giving the guest the "welcome" feeling . The location of the facility is quite good and you get the silence you need. The house is pretty well maintained and the public facilitys are clean ( better than the average here on Crete) . Why not perfect ? When you pay 150 Euro per night you have some expectations.These are not to pay separate for vinegar and oil at the restauant, paying for sunbeds at the beach ( Hotel owned) seems strange. A second aircondition a the childrens sleeping room was missed. The Information Hotel - Guest via Paper or Computer isnt too good. In fact these are not to much things but they sum up.

Well worth staying here!
A lovely friendly family run hotel, we were delayed flying into Crete which put us at the hotel at passed midnight! As it’s a small business the reception was closed BUT we had a lovely notice left on the door telling us which room we’re in and to just see them in the morning when we were ready. Inside the room had been left stuffed peppers for us to eat! Which absolutely fantastic as we were indeed starving! In the morning we headed for breakfast which overlooked the beach again blown away The whole of the stay stayed at this level fantastic hotel, brilliant and happy staff, what else do you want!!!

Beautiful location, clean and with a fantastic service minded staff.
Fantastic location! It's a pretty quiet place, which was perfect for us. The hotel has excellent staff that are service-minded and always helpful and an excellent restaurant with affordable prices. It's great possibilities to get around to both Platanias, Gerani and off course Chania for those who wants more noise.
The rooms are nice and clean with big sizes. The garden areas are beautiful and well groomed. Always available sunbeds, both in the beach and around the pool. The beach has sand, and some places near with pebbles, which makes it perfect for both swimming and snorkeling.
Even though there weren't to many kids of our daughters age, we found plenty of kids her age in the hotels nearby.

Amazing relaxing and right on the beach
Can’t recommend this place enough. We returned here after visiting eight years ago. Lovely studios and apartments with a pool and right on the beach with a fab restaurant where you can find good home cooking and a friendly family atmosphere. Katerina has been cooking here over 10 years and is amazing. She, together with Leah, Marietta, Otto and the morning chef(whose name escapes me) are always ready with a smile and can do attitude. Nothing is too much for these wonderful staff, who work so hard to make your holiday perfect. Food is delicious and each night there is a house special. Prices are very good ranging from around €9-€14 for a meal. It’s a good size meal too. All served with a smile. Since we were last there very little has changed apart from improvements and upgrades in the rooms, and all around the hotel. Apartments are kept absolutely spotless by the housekeeping ladies, who always greet with good morning and a smile. Yiannis in reception is also super helpful, ready to assist in any way and often enquiring how the holiday is going. This hotel has a wonderful welcome for everyone and the staff go above and beyond to make a holiday relaxing and pleasurable. Thank you all. We will come back soon x
