Situated right on a beautiful sandy beach just fifteen minutes outside of Chania on the island of Crete, this luxurious fully renovated beach hotel designed for adults offers a spectacular family holiday or romantic retreat of sea and sun. Guests might venture into Chania to explore its beautiful old town, or simply lounge in the sun by the expansive outdoor pool and sip a drink from the pool bar.
The spacious rooms and suites are bright and airy, all with an en suite bathroom and private balcony or terrace, and some with sea views and lavish private pools. Guests might sample traditional Greek and Cretan cuisine in the Matter main restaurant or 35° Cretan a la carte Restaurant, and enjoy a coffee and pastry in the Stellar Lobby Bar or Naked star Pool Bar. The wellness centre Orion Spa offers a spa, hot tub and fitness centre in addition to a range of massages and beauty treatments, and the hotel provides free Wi-Fi internet access throughout, all for a wonderful island holiday.

wonderful vacation! 👏🏼
The entire team was incredibly welcoming, professional, and attentive to every detail. We felt like true VIPs from the moment we checked in. The room was extremely spacious, tastefully decorated, and impeccably clean. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner featured an impressive variety of high-quality, fresh products and various local options. Everything was delicious. The common areas are modern and very well-maintained. Furthermore, the location is perfect—ideal for exploring the area on foot or simply relaxing in complete tranquility. We will undoubtedly return in the future. A special thank you to Katerina Varypatakis, she demonstrated remarkable attention to detail, anticipating all our needs and ensuring we celebrated our special occasion in the best possible way. And the entire team (Roula, Dimitra, and Ramesh) for making our vacation unforgettable! Attention to detail and genuine care for the guest make all the difference!

Even better than before if thats possible
We visited the Asterion Suites for a second time having first gone in September 2025
I thought last year was outstanding but this year ; even better
We arrived around 10pm and were immediately greeted by Malonis and George ( Bar manager ) with hugs and a welcome I cant remember being so genuinely warm and friendly ; a meeting of true friends
Everything we could possibly want was catered for and we were even given our original pool suite we had last year which was a great touch
It is impossible to list everyone and actually would be easier to attach a PDF of the staff list as every single person here is incredible
However, special thanks to Malonis and George as above, George the Hotel Manager, Maria, Roza and Yiannis
It took around 30 minutes to leave only because we were met by so many staff who came over to say goodbye , or in this case, when we will see you again ( I am literally trying to sort another week with Yiannis for this September again ! )
How anyone could find an issue with this Hotel is beyond me
If we cant go in September due to availability , we will be back next summer 100%
This hotel is by a considerable distance , the absolute definition of 5 start adult only luxury and we cant wait to go back to see our friends at the Asterion

Amazing
We had a fantastic stay at Asterion Suites & Spa in Crete and would happily recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing holiday.
The standout feature was definitely the staff. Every member of the team was so friendly, welcoming and genuinely went the extra mile to make sure we had everything we needed. Their exceptional service made us feel valued throughout our stay.
Our room was kept immaculate every day, with a high standard of housekeeping that we really appreciated. The pool area was another highlight – it was always spotlessly clean, the sunbeds were really comfortable, and it was a lovely place to relax.
The food was very good, with breakfast being a particular favourite. There was a great selection each morning, with plenty of fresh, tasty options to choose from.
Overall, we had a wonderful experience and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again :)

A holiday we’ll never forget
Our 6 night all inclusive stay at Asterion Suites & Spa was genuinely one of the best holidays we’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, every single member of staff made us feel so welcome and nothing was ever too much trouble.
The restaurant and bar teams were exceptional. A special mention has to go to Manolis, who is an absolute credit to the hotel and consistently goes above and beyond for every guest. Leonidas always greeted us with a smile at breakfast, Katerina’s local knowledge and genuine warmth made our stay even more special, and George, Rosa, Maria, Ray and Red all helped create such a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. I’m sure I’ve forgotten a few names, but everyone was fantastic.
The room was comfortable with a lovely bed, although we hardly spent any time there because we were either by the beautiful pool, on the beach or exploring. Breakfast was outstanding and we loved that lunch was served à la carte rather than as a buffet. The all inclusive package is easily the best we’ve experienced, with freshly made cocktails, excellent quality drinks and delicious food throughout.
The location was perfect for exploring. We visited Platanias, spent two wonderful days in Chania, and even enjoyed an unforgettable boat trip. The beach is literally metres away and the sea is divine for a quick dip or proper swim (we didn’t take sea shoes so had to walk over the pebbles but didn’t bother us) - all inclusive service comes to your beach sunbed! Amazing sunsets too.
We found the all-inclusive to be incredibly good value for money, especially given the breadth of options on the drinks menu and the yummy food.
What really stood out was just how relaxing the hotel is. We slept for over nine hours every night, which never happens at home. We came back feeling completely refreshed. It’s a very peaceful setting but you’re not at all far from things to do and places to visit.
I would recommend Asterion Suites & Spa to absolutely anyone, whether you’re travelling solo, as a couple or with friends. It was a holiday to remember and we cannot wait to return.
