This family-friendly hotel is ideally located by Crete's longest beach, on the northern coast and near the mountains and beautiful Lake Kournas. Guests may wish to take a short drive to the neighbouring town of Georgioupolis to see its little church and harbour, go for a scenic bike ride along picturesque freshwater lake, or venture further afield to visit Knossos, Crete's largest archaeological site and the ruins of what is thought to be Europe's oldest city. The hotel's rooms are comfortable and classic with a large furnished balcony, and the hotel offers free Wi-Fi in public areas as well as 24-hour reception and convenient car rental services. Guests might start the day with a delicious buffet breakfast in the main restaurant, grab a quick lunch in the beach bar, and dine on hearty Cretan dishes in the a la carte restaurant on a wonderful seaside holiday spent lounging in the sun by the pool or on the sandy beach.
Due to the surrounding area and the number of steps around the hotel, it may not be suitable for those with mobility difficulties.
Apostolos and Nikos are wonderful people. Always kind and pleasant who are always happy to help and advise. They lifted my spirits every day. They knew how to motivate. The best service from the spa in the world.
Just returned from a fortnight stay at the newly refurbished Vantaris Beach Check in was straight forward our room on the 2nd floor had a wonderful sea view The room was tastefully decorated in creams spotlessly clean Dining was buffet style we were half board great selection something for everyone also the beach taverna had lots to choose from Angelos and his staff were polite and helpful throughout including the bar team. Would highly recommend.
Hotel overall okey, food is average. Pool area and beach are nice. We had sea front room and some nights were quite cold because the wind was really strong. Beds are not very comfy, Service okey. Sent our clothes to washing and they ruined these - some stains were on the clothes and colours were not the same - offered us an all inclusive for 1,5 days for ruining our clothes - not the solutuion we expected.
This is the best hotel i’ve ever been to ! There is a really good viev of the beach you get free breakfast lunch and dinner and drinks at any time ,there are also a sauna and a big pool. I loved the 2 kittens that just walk around and they love when you pet them.
We stayed at Vantaris Luxury Beach Resort for one week and overall had a very pleasant stay.
The hotel is very clean, well organized, and has a calm and pleasant atmosphere. Our room was fresh, nicely decorated, and well prepared for the whole family. A small but appreciated detail was that we received the correct number of towels from the start, and the beach towels were already in the room. We had a front sea view room, and the view of the sea was fantastic.
The food was one of the highlights of our stay. Both breakfast and dinner were very good, with a varied selection and excellent flavors. The Greek theme night was especially enjoyable and felt well planned.
The staff at the lobby bar Thalia and beach bar deserve special praise. Belisa,George Nikos, Georgia and Kiki, and George were very friendly, helpful, and professional, and they really contributed to a positive experience.
There are also a few areas where the hotel could improve. We arrived late at night due to a delayed flight, and the check-in process was a bit confusing. The night staff seemed unsure, and their English was limited, which made the arrival less smooth than it could have been. However, we did appreciate that food was provided for us upon arrival.
The pool bar was unfortunately not quite at the same level as the lobby bar and beach bar. The staff there seemed less knowledgeable, and the service could be more consistent across the different bars at the hotel.
Another thing worth knowing is that some items cost extra when booking half board, such as the safety box 2 euro/night and beach chairs 5 euro/chair. Drinks were also quite expensive. It would be helpful if this information was made even clearer at the time of booking. For guests who plan to buy many drinks and snacks at the hotel, all inclusive may be a better and more cost-effective option.
Overall, Vantaris Luxury Beach Resort is a very clean, well-maintained, and pleasant hotel with fantastic food, a beautiful view, and several very service-minded staff members. With some improvements regarding late check-in, the pool bar, and clearer information about extra costs, the experience would be even better. We were happy with our stay and can absolutely recommend the hotel.
