Pilot Amphora Boutique Hotel

The staff are excellent. But the rest is not 5*. The food is often cold (even breakfast eggs cooked to order), dinner portions large, you cannot call frozen mozzarella sticks with chilli dipping sauce (labelled up as a sweet & sour tangerine sauce) 5*. Just small examples. I could go on. Our stay was pleasant. We ate at local restaurants 4 nights (Poseidon is wonderful). We asked for twin beds - they made up the sofa downstairs (yes, you climb a staircase to bed) Not suitable if you’re suffering with knee or hip problems

A delightful small and compact hotel ideally placed in Georgioupolis. Very close to the town square but far enough away to be peaceful and quiet. The rooms are lovely, the cleanliness is first class and the staff demonstrate how to give excellent public service. There are only a select few members of staff and they were all lovely, helpful people. The 5 course dinner was simply excellent and there is plenty to eat! Mr Gary certainly enjoyed every minute!

Pilot Amphora Boutique hotel is a small boutique hotel close to the main square in Georgioupolis, about a 5-10 min walk from the beach and has plenty of restaurants and tavernas in walking distance. The hotel is peaceful and calm, incredibly spotless and very welcoming.

Room We had booked an Indulge Room with Private Pool but were upgraded to an Amphora Suite with Private Pool.

The room was beautiful and had a relaxing spa feel. The colours and lighting were warm, muted and neutral - the wood throughout the room really complimented the high quality finish to give a luxurious, spacious and calming vibe. The bed was large and amazingly comfortable. The bed linens were spotless and very good quality. We had the best sleep at this hotel - there was no outside noise so it was peaceful and quiet. The rainfall shower was also a highlight!

The WiFi was good, the room was cleaned daily by incredible cleaning staff who were quick and thorough. Not just the room but the whole hotel was well maintained, exceptionally clean and neat and tidy. There is a fridge in the room, a coffee machine and complimentary water. There is also bath towels, sun lounger towels, robes and slippers.

We had a large private pool with a deck, loungers, table and chairs. Trees, foliage and plants offer privacy, alongside dividers each side. The room was beautiful and we cannot fault it!

Food We booked Breakfast only, and each morning there was a great selection of breakfast offerings. There was usual continental breakfast selections such as bread, fruit, pastries, cheeses, granola and also hot food of bacon, mushrooms, hash browns and an egg menu (poached, boiled, scrambled etc). The staff remembered our hot drink order from the first morning, so this was brought to us each day without asking which was lovely and a really thoughtful touch.

We ate lunch at the hotel from the snack menu a few times and the food was always really tasty, good portions and reasonably priced.

Staff The staff throughout the hotel are so attentive, warm and welcoming. They are extremely professional and nothing was too much for them. They were always approachable, said hello and they were really friendly. Really great team of staff and a great manager!

Facilities The main pool was a great size and had plenty of seating around - from loungers, canopy beds and table/chairs. The pool and the surrounding area is stylish and again, kept clean and tidy.

There is also an outdoor bar/seating area as well as indoor tables. There is a good size, well equipped gym, a little cosy reading book downstairs with a book library and a meeting room.

Overall we had a lovely stay - the room was amazing, the staff friendly and welcoming and the food was tasty!
